It was surely a new experience for Naia, and with such experiences she found herself weightless, limber and excited. A huge contrast to the bitter drink she had moments ago, this green drink was far more.. elegant but it wasn't her favourite tasting one either. The black licorice-ish taste with mint and a consistency that just rolled down the throat made it far too easy to both hate and down in quick succession.

[break][break]Like a thirst that couldn't be quenched Naia couldn't help herself but ask for something far more sweeter the next time the waiter made their rounds, just wanting to have something to counter balance it, and just to not be rude she made sure that she ordered enough for all of her new friends, Elise Calcifet and Mirabella Fontaine . At some point Naia had lost count with the drinks, was it just three? Was it two? Was it four? It didn't matter, what mattered more was that she was having more than she did earlier in the evening.

[break][break]Never had she felt so relieved from all her anxiety and stress, and as such she just had such a burning desire to spread and share it amongst all her friends, especially the ones she couldn't see nearby. It suddenly became a rush to continue rolling the slots, as winning and losing didn't matter to the rich lady, she was just starting to enjoy the spinning colours and loud music that accompanied it.

[break][break]Then it came. Isaac Merlo had been one of the people she was texting said that they would be coming to the party now, meaning she needed to find him.

[break][break]She didn't realize how drunk she had become when the first thing that happened upon getting up from her seat was the world spinning. It was strange to feel perfectly fine one second and then drunk the next, and such a thing was very jarring to the woman who hadn't so much drank before night. But none the less she had to press forward.

[break][break]It mattered not if they came or not, even if it would make her very excited if they did, Naia knew she had to go on this adventure because she promised Isaac she'd look for him. With a half ass attempt at pulling her skirt out of the way Naia would sway her way around the casino, a drunken yet serious look on her face as she hunted down her fellow Rocket. It was just as her short attention span was beginning to wane did she finally spot someone with familiar blonde hair and short height, and a bright and excited smile would grow on her face.

[break][break]It was probably the loudest anyone would have heard Naia, including herself, as she picked up the pace and rush over to him. But as fate would have it, rather than just stepping on the floor she instead stepped onto the front of her skirt causing her to trip over herself. With wide eyes Naia expected to hit the ground, however just as Isaac as always been so reliable, the next second she found herself back in his arms.

[break][break]Despite there being a mishap with tripping, it was almost like a beat wasn't missed when she registered it was him who caught her, her arms instantly coiling around his head to pull him into a big hug. The momentum of her fall and now her throwing her weight over onto Isaac would cause nearly any person to tip backwards and fall onto the ground.

[break][break]While the fall didn't necessarily hurt, the sharp pointy accessories on his head jamming into her chest wasn't exactly painless, and with now requiring an awkward and drunken second to pull her arms out from underneath the both of them, she'd pull her torso at least up from him to look down at him. What started as a small pout would shift back into a smile before a drunken laugh would escape her lips, as she clumsily tried to get off from him.

The drinks came for the three ladies as the royal takes the drink off the waiter’s tray. From the look of the green fairy drink, this one looked so refined and probably why it got its name if it was the color of a green looking fairy out of the fairy tales. She drinks it from the glass slowly, the liquid washes down her throat with the taste becoming like black licorice and a mix of fennel. This was the first time that she drank this other than red wine with the rest of her family at the Calcifet Palace, so Elise was already feeling tipsy.[break][break]

Naia spoke that she had to find her friend and leaves their side. Before the woman leaves to go find the grey-haired young woman, she inserts another coin to gamble again on the slot machine. Once the prize comes out, Elise takes it and turns towards Mirabelle with a smile. “If you wish to join me in…in finding where Naia went to, I don’t miiind~” [break][break]

Getting up from her seat, the tipsy female royal goes off to try to follow Naia’s retreating form and sees the grey-haired woman on top of a rather familiar blond young man. “Isaac? Oh, I should greet you casually like you’ve taught me.” A giggle comes from the dark magenta haired woman as she greets Isaac the way he taught her. “Whassup my hooomie, how’s it hanging?”[break][break]

Yes, this was perfect. Elise hadn't experience this brand of alcoholic. The green fairy was one of her favorite but it was extremely strong. She took a slide another coin into the slot machine and earned herself a disk for tm/tr. Wonderful, now this is a prize befitting someone like her. The drink effect has already seem to start. She was fine but the other girls however...not so much. [break][break] Mirabella didn't like the idea of them moving around that's how chaos first everyone seemed to have left before she could get her opinion out the girls were gone. Wonderful. It was up to her to keep them out of harmless away. She down at her foxes with a knowing look. "We're moving now." The foxes knew what meant. Using their illusions abilities to act like guards they caught up to Elise and Naia protect them while Mirabelle took up the rear. [break][break] Lucky. it didn't take long for Naia find her friend. Mirabella raised an eyebrow skeptical as ever especially after what Elise has spoke. Just what she had done to let's girls. "Issac, I take it? I would love for chatting and make proper introduction but...could we take this conversation to some sitting like the ones nearby?"

Just as the woman in the red dress (Naomi Sato) explained that no, she wasn't being bothered, fern delaney appeared out of the crowd and sidled up to the man that had been on the receiving end of Yumi's suspicion.[break][break]

At the intimate way Fern spoke with him, Yumi realized he must be jayden cross. Fern had mentioned Jayden a few times to her as the man they were dating, so the woman relaxed and offered her friend a smile and a wave when their gazes met.[break][break]

It was then that parker jones exited the bathroom. Her eyes went wide with panic as they darted between her and the crown-clad woman — Nomi, the Head Scientist.[break][break]

Yumi arched an eyebrow at Parker. "No, we've just met. I was only complimenting Miss Sato on her outfit."[break][break]

Without warning, Nomi excused herself to get a drink and fled with a rapidity that belied her earlier insistence nothing was bothering her. Yumi watched her go, confused, before turning her glare upon the pink-haired woman who she thought had been her friend.[break][break]

But it had been weeks since they'd last spoken, and Yumi was beginning to think of Parker as nothing more than a coward.[break][break]

"Enjoy your night," she said with a sharpness that only complemented her Seviper-like smile. Then she departed in a sweep of lavender and emerald.[break][break]

After taking the elevator to the fourth floor, Yumi entered the Empoleon Room with a throng of other guests. She did not recognize anyone among them, so she sat herself down at one of the half-moon tables.[break][break]

"I'll have the roast Farfetch'd," she said, catching a passing waiter on the arm.

As she arrived at the bar, Nomi took a deep breath. A single tear had made its unfortunate way down her cheek, leaving a subtle streak of wetness. She immediately grabbed a napkin and began gently dabbing at her face, hoping she hadn't messed up any of her makeup.[break][break]
A deep voice caught her attention, and she turned to see a blue-haired man with sharp, handsome features nodding in her direction. She didn't recognize KING WAYLAND, but he had a familiar air about him: the same sort of lazily dangerous demeanor Parker often displayed. Talk about deja vu-- once more, Cyg was doing something that she’d done last year: showing up for the Casino Starlight’s grand opening. There were a few key differences, of course; last year she’d drowned the nerves in champagne; this year she’d pregamed early.

She walks underneath the glimmering lights and around the intricate fountain displays, golden boots clicking on the tile floor, eyes scanning the upper floors for any more dramatic jumping-off tricks like Killian and his hot girlfriend had done last year.

Originally, she wasn’t going to come; the heels killed her ankle, and she still bore the numerous scars from the Deep Sea, namely the uneven blotches of burnt skin that patched down her back like a topographical map of the region, courtesy of a venoshock at close range. There were a handful of other marks in various stages of healing, too. She also had… things, she was working on, and a night out socializing didn’t sound nearly as fun as it once had.

But she was starting to go stir crazy deep in the bowels of Bothwell Apothecary and decided that some time outside would do her good, so she’d jugged a pint of liquid courage and wondered when it’d stopped affecting her quite so much.

For her Feywilde theme, she’d picked her favorite story from The Witcher, Borch Three Jackdaws, the golden dragon Villentretenmerth. Any excuse for her to bust out her cosplay wings was a good excuse, anyway.

She doesn’t intend to find Isaac Merlo, but it just sort of happens, because one minute she’s grabbing a drink from a tray and the next minute someone is screaming his name apparently at the top of their lungs. Fighting down the innate panic that comes from recent experiences she bullies her way across the floor in the direction of the noise.

Finding him apparently unharmed, buried underneath poundage of boobs, and surrounded, as usual, by friendly sorts, she relaxes. Using her good foot she hooks a chair out from a table and flops in it.

“Look at that,” she says, grinning, “dinner and a show.”

She said his name so loudly that, for a second, Isaac didn't even recognize her voice. Nevertheless, it was Naia Kayode in the flesh, and she was quite happy to see him.[break][break]

She was also every bit as accident-prone. Instead of falling asleep this time, the girl made a bet with gravity and lost. Just as Isaac surged forward to catch her, she decided to go for double-or-nothing. She squeezed him tight with surprising force, practically leaping against him, and within seconds they were down on the ground.[break][break]

By the time Isaac could see again, he'd been surrounded by women. Naia asked why they were down on the ground as she did her best to unentangle herself from him. Elise Calcifet, who Isaac was very glad to see in better times for a change, greeted him with a giggling attempt at casual chat. Mirabella Fontaine, who didn't recognize him, seemed to regard him somewhat quizzically. He responded with a sheepish grin, because he certainly didn't expect any of this happen.[break][break]

"Turns out you're a real strong hugger," he said, laughing a little as he tried to squirm out from beneath Naia. "Good to see you guys, too. Though I think your friend's got a point. How about we get a s-"[break][break]

It wasn't easy to make a guy forget nearly being smothered like that. However, when ana fell walked in, it would be a miracle if Isaac's eyes went anywhere else. His sheepish grin gave way to a very, very interested one as she kicked her way into a nearby seat, teasing him over the show that she'd arrived just in time for.[break][break]

"I dunno what you mean," he said, a distinctly flirty tone settling into his voice. "I'd say the show just walked in~" Luckily, by now Naia had finally pried herself off of his waist. Standing up with surprising grace and quickness, Isaac offered a hand to help his drunken friend stand. Then, once he made sure she was stable, he turned to wave Cygne over to the group. If she decided to join them, he'd hook an arm around her waist and pull her in for a quick kiss on the cheek. No sense ruining her makeup when she just put it on.[break][break]

Yet.[break][break]

"Now, where were we? Seats, I believe? Let's roll out." He'd lead the way, because Naia's group was already a good few in and as soon as he turned away for five seconds Cygne would follow their lead. That meant he was going to be the Designated Isaac for the night.[break][break]

Considering being the Designated Isaac got him smothered five minutes in, it was going to be a hell of a night.

oh, if looks could kill, yumi would have shot her dead right then and there. a hollow, sickly feeling crawls around in her throat as yumi turns and walks away. and then parker is standing there, very dumbly, looking from yumi to the pink head she can just barely see over by the bar, and at the familiar face who'd stepped in just moments before.

"jay, how's it i've only said like ten words and i've already fucked up, like, five times?" she sighs and gives him a friendly bump on the shoulder, but pauses as she passes, one brow raised.

"did i catch ya makin' moony eyes at someone? that we gotta talk about over a beer. but first, i gotta dig myself outta this hole."

and with that, she passes. it's not hard for her to push through the bodies in her way. her broad shoulders naturally help part the crowd. when she's about three feet away from nomi, someone saunters over to the bar and has the audacity to buy her a drink.

her brows furrow when she recognizes him and she thinks aw, fuck no, and walks up with a, "wayland? your princess know you're out here buyin' drinks for pretty gals?" she slides neatly between the two of them, smiling up at him with a grin, still showing teeth.

"while you're at it -" she holds up a hand to the bartender. "rum 'n coke. on his tab."

she looks over nomi nervously and then frowns. her makeup has run just a smidge and parker bristles, fingers tensing on the bar top. "don't worry 'bout whatever he said, nomes. king's an ass and a half."

Though Shred doesn't ask the question buzzing in his brain, the answer is simple enough: arrogance. Undisguised, Cillian expects to be recognized. Such were the trappings of infamy. Getting the impression that this guy's not one for conversation (suits Cillian well enough), he takes his drink and departs.[break][break]

Naomi Sato seems equally eager to leave his company, but the underboss chalks that up to a strained bladder. Easy enough to drink too much at a bar and find yourself bursting, so he bids her farewell with a fond smile and a nod. Since his first attempt at gambling ends well enough, he gives it a second shot for the hell of it before turning back to socializing.[break][break]

He finds their small group has expanded to include BARNABY FINCH as he returns to Tempest Quinn's side. Golden eyes cut shamelessly across the admin's exposed figure, an appreciative smirk playing upon his lips. Bee seems close with Elisabeth Fiorelli, judging by the arm around her waist; hopefully she doesn't mind the look. Cillian's hoping that Temp does. His husband got spicy when he was jealous.[break][break]

Amor was late to the party, though that wasn't unusual he was a busy guy, but he had promised someone that he would arrive. So dressed in his usual attire of a black kalosian suit, he scanned the busy casino for someone in particular, and that is when he found her. A shock of red, and violet in a sea of monotone colors, and so he wove through the crowd. Noting that everyone was in some form of special dress, but he hadn't had time to get into one himself, and so he approached the crowd, and was about to wrap his arms around Elise Calcifet, before he paused. Frowning the person he was about to wrap his arms around wasn't his girlfriend, but instead another red head, that looked suspiciously like her from behind. Someone he didn't know (Mirabella Fontaine) thankfully he hadn't committed to his move, and swiftly moved behind his actual girlfriend.

So he wrapped his arms around Elise Calcifet properly, and rested his chin on her shoulder as he looked at Naia Kayode smothering poor Isaac Merlo while ana fell watched on.

"Sorry for being late....Was working on something in the lab." He said to his love with a gentle kiss to her cheek, and he just tilted his head to the side, scanning the crowd for another person. Thankfully dorian westcliff didn't seem to be around, so he wouldn't make a scene. Since their last encounter it was safe to say that the two didn't get along in the slightest, but it would seem that he would have a night of peace for once. "Also hello again Naia, Isaac, Cygne. Good to see you all again." He stated with his usual charming smile, and then he turned to the red head whom he didn't know in the slightest. "And nice to meet you as well." Social gatherings were easy for him to deal with, it was an atmosphere he was more than familiar with.

With the greetings done he just kept his arms around Elise, a dragon protecting his treasure, considering she had wandered into the heart of Rocket, he didn't plan on leaving her side tonight. Not unless he wanted something horrible to go wrong, so he could act like an overprotective for a single night.

Her reunion with Isaac Merlo was good and all however Naia had seemed to completely forget that this was a social gathering and with a commotion more and more people seemed to pile in onto their friendly displays. However these two new people that joined in on their affairs weren't just any strangers as Naia would come to learn, they were actually the lovers of her friends.

[break][break]That much was very apparent when from just the strange and flirtacious way that Isaac was talking, Naia was completely in shock to see a whole new side of her friend. In all honesty she almost forgot that Isaac was in fact a man just outside of her friend, and seeing him in his lovey-dovey state to ana fell sort of reminded her how Ashley Shepard would talk about his flower with the difference of.. well Isaac seemed way more flirty and assertive.

[break][break]Even though she had been helped back up onto her feet a new voice took all of Naia's attention, as her head would spin to the familiar voice. Not only was it Amor Rose himself but he was even holding onto Elise Calcifet in such a cuddly fashion that Naia was starting to convinced that what Mirabella Fontaine had handed them was hallucinogens instead of alcohol. It was at this moment she realized that she hadn't spoke to any of the new comers and had just been watching in awe at everything.

[break][break]The last name was in more of a question as she desperately tried to remember what Amor said, as Naia would make her way over to one of the seats, making sure that at least the couples would be able to comfortably seat together, but within the group. Once seated Naia would have realized that she had some unread texts and a pout would instantly grow on her face as she'd frantically be texting away.

[break][break]This wasn't how she expected this to go, and worse of all it seemed that Remiel Calcifet was thinking about getting people to pick them up and even wanted Naia to hand the phone over to Elise.

[break][break]With puffed cheeks and no further explanation she'd just hold out her phone over to Elise, hoping that she'd just comply instead of Naia now having to explain to Remiel on why his cousin couldn't get to the phone suddenly. That could possibly go back. But while Elise would eventually be busy with texting Naia's attention was freely able to go back to everyone, a happier smile now on her face as she'd speak up.

Cillian Quinn was ever popular. The two of them are quickly surrounded or given passing greetings. Most of them are focused on his husband; Temp is okay with that. He offers his own smile and easy waves and quick chat to those who offer it. It was nice to see friends, people he liked. In this moment they weren't gathered for war or conquest. It was just to relax. They sure as fuck needed it.[break][break]

Temp didn't drink out of his home all that often. But temptations were temptations. Temp gave a small, friendly wink to Shred as a drink was plucked from the offerings around the bar. The bartender didn't seem in the mood for conversation.[break][break]

Temp finds Cill's side as alcohol burns down his throat. Something fruity and fiery; Temp preferred his alcohol to get him sloshed over the slow sippage of old vintages.[break][break]

He catches the look that Cill gives to BARNABY FINCH. The previously light mood shifted. Temp's expression hardened, his own arm snaking out to wrap around his husband's waist and pull the blond close.[break][break]

Temp knew what Cillian was doing. It always worked. Even if Temp knew, with no shadow of doubt, that Elisabeth Fiorelli's boytoy was safe... The possessive steak was strong. Usually an ugly thing that only reared it's head in private, now Temp smiles more like a dog baring it's teeth over a steak. Claiming ownership. It is a threat not just for Barnaby (even if he is innocent in this), but for anyone else who might try and reach out and touch. Temp would bite their hand off for even trying.[break][break]

A glance is shot to Elisabeth Fiorelli as he and Cillian depart up the stairs. He didn't know her as well as Cillian did, but if she had any sort of a similar nature as him she would understand.[break][break]

Temp sits down too close to Cillian when they reach the upper floors. Cillian talks of food.[break][break]

Temp leans over and sinks his teeth into the soft juncture where Cill's shoulder meets his neck. A bare spot in the costume.[break][break]

Before Temp had gut his fish, he might have been more embarrassed. Waited for the lights to dim. Now he leaves imprints before they have the chance; lets people see. It is not a kind bite. It leaves ugly red welts where sharp teeth prick skin.[break][break]

The lights fade and Temp shoves a hand between the other's thighs. He's not gunna cyber right in the middle of the show. He's just being a teasing dick.[break][break]

[attr="class","aurelie_body"]Unnoticed or forgotten by the more glamorous, high-profile guests socializing, flirting, and dabbling in intrigue with each other, Aurelie lingered at the bar to watch with amusement as Shred found himself suddenly fielding a furious onslaught of drink orders. As the bartender in the intensely purple suit grabbed glasses, bottles, and cans from all over the bar, poured drinks, and grumbled dourly under his breath, Aurelie thought she spotted him doing something...odd to one of those drinks before handing it over. She watched alertly as he poured champagne into a flute and passed it to her, her single uncovered eye fixed on his face and hands.

This time, she didn't catch the bartender doing anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps she'd just imagined it the first time?

"Thank you," Aurelie replied warmly. She took a quick sip and found that, while the champagne wasn't quite the same as last year's—this one tasted sweeter and made her think of pears, nutmeg, and apple pie—it was still excellent.

Her expression softened when the bartender cracked open his own can of beer and gulped it down as thirstily as if it were cold water in the desert. Feeling more affinity at that moment with the hardworking bartender than with the chattering socialites throughout the rest of the casino, Aurelie quietly slipped a thirty-Pokedollar note into the tip glass on the counter. I figure this shows gratitude and courtesy better than any small talk I could possibly make, she thought.

At the same time, she raised her glass to him while privately hoping she didn't spill any champagne in the process, considering that she only had the one working eye. "À votre santé," she offered as a brief toast, before drinking deep. "Good luck tonight! Hope your break happens soon."

With that, Aurelie turned when dinner was announced, eager to sample the offerings of the best chefs in the region, and wandered up toward the fourth-floor dining room. Sitting down at an ivory-covered table, she watched the dancers' show with delight. Under the shining spotlight, the very stage seemed aglow with ethereal moonlight, rendering the dancers' graceful movements even more spellbinding and dreamlike as they whirled faster and faster in a performance that stirred her blood and inspired her imagination.

Afterward, she could only murmur to herself, her cheeks flushed with emotions she couldn't quite name, "That was wonderful! I hope we see those dancers again."

When the lights came back on in the dining room, though, the spell was broken and Aurelie came back to herself quickly as waiters began circulating and taking orders. She shook her head briefly, as though to clear it of any lingering cobwebs. Raising one hand, she beckoned to an attentive waiter, who obligingly came over and listed off the available dinner options.

"I'll take the roast Farfetch'd, please," she decided, after considering all the options and their ramifications and possibilities extensively and thoughtfully. "And more champagne, if you please. Thank you."
