priam had been observing, though it took him long enough to realize that maybe he should be participating in the fight.

he scales down just in time for the ground to split, finding himself on the right side of the fissure. frozen pokemon around him does little to his nerves, but his espeon's safety does.

"we just attack, right?"

a hidden power blasts through the defenses of the dragon. he hides behind the multitude of people trying to defeat the dragon as he considers options to make an actual entrance.

Difficulty was found in deciphering the different voices hurling through the snow. Only 's, whose voice had its own personal etchings in his brain, allowed for the young secretary to understand. Instead, he looked to the shifting shadows.

The way manipulated gravity, as if the world was moldable to his whims.

The way moved with the snow, drifting in and out of sight, his silhouette a ghastly froslass.

The way a streak of green kept twisting through the sky, casting a godly barrage of holy rock unto groundbreaking beast.

The way, even those without shadows lurching over their shoulders, valiantly pushed forward, with indiscernible shouts and 's swift directives.

It felt like a strip from an old comic book. One where the hero is dealt the first blow of reality, the moment they realize they're in over their head. Only, here, Steven's limbs felt like lead and stress strained his expression. Every attempt of movement felt like a battle, every shout a war. Hoenn might've been battling Kyurem, but was battling himself.

"What are we doing?!" Was all he could ask, clarity being the one thing he sought. "Should we-"

Words were cut short. Another burst of the Dragon's ongoing blizzard battered him from the right, sending the boy flying into the snow. Into the ice.

The ground continues to quake, and Nenet reaches out to grasp Zev by the forearm, using him to steady herself in the midst of the chaos. Despite the raging blizzard she can still see Kyurem towering above them while the Unbound Hoopa toys with 's Zekrom.

Rayquaza summoned a rain of meteorites to strike down many of Hoopa’s stray hands. It was unlikely that the evil djinn would give up so easily, so they needed to keep pushing those floating appendages back.

“Duck, Mr. Navy!” The young PokéManiac shouted a warning to and his flying mount. “Huggles, use Draco Meteor too!” The Dragonite obliged, summoning even more flaming debris from the sky.

Many other trainers joined the fight to rescue Zekrom from the djinn’s sinister clutches, firing a barrage of powerful moves. “If he’s that desperate to steal Zekrom, maybe he’s planning to do something with them!” Andrea’s voice rang through the chaos.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” she cautioned towards the other trying to break the ice around her Pokemon. The same had happened to Electrivire, but Shizue evidently wasn’t quite as fazed as the other by this. It probably had not only to do with her natural disposition, but also her experience regarding matters like this. She’d seen Pokemon melted down to puddles by the assault of legendaries before, after all.



This was tame in comparison. “You would probably risk damaging your own Pokemon further, even if you can break through the ice,” she added, arms crossed, before looking at the now more enraged Kyurem. The Hoopa had, by now, revealed what it had to say. Which was evidently a warning of what was to come. This was not Kyurem trying to invade Hoenn to bring its doom, no. Its actions did not line up with that motive in the slightest. If it had wanted to, it would have immediately frozen everyone as they trickled in, not have given any warnings – and probably appeared in a major population centre to begin with.



No, this was something else. Which was why she was observing and recording what she could. Though she also made sure to not disregard this strange woman that would probably be able to provide her with some assistance, indirect or not. Plus, anyone this agitated was also potentially dangerous, so she should defuse this situation a bit. “As a scientist, I can obviously not give you a decisive answer to that. That would be impossible without all information. However, I would deem it likely. Pokemon are capable of recovering from frozen states already. If they can the thawed and stabilized, they should be able to recover. But the longer they stay encased, the smaller that window of opportunity becomes.”

That was just her reading of what was happening, but she did not truly think that it was wrong. Again, this did not seem like an assault to bring eternal winter to Hoenn. “It may not be necessary to kill this, either. Just beat it back. Once the blizzard stops, something can be done. Our opponent is not here to eradicate us.” Saying that, she resumed her observations. Her fire type was currently busy shielding them against being frozen themselves, so she would leave the fighting to the other.



“But the chances of you restoring your partner go to zero if you perish as well, so do not go beyond your ability. Everything will be fine, for a given definition of the word.” That was her philosophy, allowing her a measure of calm in this situation. It wasn’t easy, but she was not one to allow such things to cloud her mind. Her duty was to keep a clean mind and open eyes.

Neon looks up watching the Hoopa grab at the powerful beast that was Zekrom, the Black Yin and he is almost feral in anticipation. He would like to see Kyurem devour that thing. He's shaking with anticipation, tapping his Gigalith as it silently reroutes volleys to intercept League efforts to save the legendary dragon. If the world was going to end, let it be the original dragon that ends them. He mentally cheers on the djinn, fists tensing against his device quietly cheering it on. Feed Kyurem! Feed Kyurem! Feed Kyurem! [break][break]

"What said! Bleed it dry!" he said, blinking into the conversation. cuts into the transmissions again and Neon laughs. "Then you've got nothing to lose, Mama Bird!" he said as he began typing himself a note to include Kepler's efforts into whatever scientific paper came out of this. If one could come out of this. [break][break]

"Then , are you able to replicate any of that energy draining your patron does?" he returned, still optimistic as ever as he glanced over at the public Beast and his guest. The League pulls onto Zekrom to protect it and Neon can't help but groan with dissatisfaction. "We can never have anything here." he whined to himself, taking solace in the continued reading he was managing to get. "Spikes in primal energy are minimal...." he reported sadly, even as Cobalion entered the fray. [break][break]

But as it does appear, so does something else. Strange prophecy. It's more broken than the last. "Did you catch that?" he asked as his Rotom appeared buzzing at his ear and quickly replaying whatever Kyurem and Hoopa had just said. "Yeah, it is bits and pieces." he confirmed to himself. As says to offer anything, Neon looks to . "Wanna try to quell Hoopa's tantrum and offer yourself up?" he teased. "Joking. We probably won't have time with it under that much fire power." [break][break]

Neon pats the Gigalith, "Don't worry about friendly fire kid." he said to the looming rock type who began shooting its ROCK BLASTS directly at Hoopa and anything in its way, including 's Dragonite Huggles, and 's Pyroar, Kion.

Her efforts were barely noticeable in the grand scheme of things. But she couldn’t help but feel a small contentment in the sight of the few Wild Pokemon that sought refuge behind her walls for the briefest of respites before moving on.

Had she done all she could? Perhaps. Was it all for naught? Most likely, a sensation only confirmed as the earth quake beneath the massive enemy’s feet.

But the quake rustled her line of sight and by sheer coincidence she spotted the situation between the Unbound Hoopa and Zekrom. Quick she retrieved Steelix into its Pokeball and summoned one of her more Draconic fighters.

Minh the Salamence did not roar as she came onto the field, instead she focused on taking in what was going on, luckily Elinor was pointing right at the situation.

“LIGHT OF RUIN on the hands!” Fear mixed with certainty fueled the command that Elinor gave.

Minh fired off the bright pink and purple beam of fairy energy as quickly as she possibly could hoping only that her aim was good enough and that it would get there in time to help.

The Z-move is repelled back as it seems that the powers at work here were stronger than her and Cobalion. That much was apparent by how many people were currently fighting against it. [break][break]

Cobalion is launched backwards by the counter attack and Melody realizes that getting in close against such a fearsome opponent. "Cobalion! Please, go take care of the collateral.
