"Attack without any mercy!" she said, her daggered finger pointing to the creature.

The wind buffeted her hair from the snow and ice, causing her to shield her eyes as the bug charged forward to attack one of HOOPA'S hands with an X-SCISSOR.

In a moment's notice, an icicle shot and landed nearby her. Camellia turned her head, locking eyes on the culprit of the thrower. The assassin scoffed, at Jayden, raising her hands.

"Are you trying to get us killed, you moron?" Perhaps she shouldn't have stirred the pot.

she had seen hoopa recently, an antagonist in her own dream, and it then occurred to her that perhaps the golden hoop that had appeared out of nowhere, on the ship with parker jones , had also belonged to the djinn. was that how the kyurem had gotten here?[break][break]

he activates his sygna suit, which he had always been wearing to combat against the cold. friendship with a psychic-type pokemon he has since childhood doesn't need the help of a suit to force the two to sync, but it has other uses.

"come on, espy! we'll just keep doing this!"

pseudo-avatarship granted by the suit allows priam to rain coins with pay day at the giant pokemon they were facing against.

his espeon follows it up with dazzling gleam, using the coins to refract the light from his own attack so it reaches the target from a longer distance.

However, just as the AVATAR leaps off his Charizard's back to rejoin his patron, an ICICLE whistles towards him and clips his arm.[break][break]

The crown prince is sent spinning out of control in mid-air. Just before it seems like he'll crash into ZEKROM's shield, however, it drops. Instead, Remiel soon finds himself captured safely in ZEKROM's arms as it shoots upward to create some distance. Through gritted teeth and pain-filled gasps of air, the royal pulls out the icicle from his arm before curling up in agony. jayden cross again.[break][break]

Of course Rocket can't leave well enough alone. But the fact that it manages to surprise her anyways means that somehow, despite everything, she hasn't entirely lost her naivete.[break][break]

She doesn't know who aimed the attack at Remiel Calcifet— frankly, it doesn't matter. It's not as if she's going to go after them anyways. A faction brawl is the last thing they need now. But that doesn't mean she can sit idly by when someone she used to care for is hurt.[break][break]

Another love ball is tossed into the fray, releasing her Hatterene. Luka doesn't say anything to Remiel directly, but Parfait is able to spring into action regardless. The maiden sends her regards, a voice speaks to him from within, prompting Remiel to regain his bearings upon ZEKROM's shoulder and look down. Far below, amidst the chaos of war and turmoil, he spotted a blossom of pink hair he would recognize anywhere. His former love, the heart he'd intentionally broken: luka chêne.[break][break]

Remiel weakly smiles, still clutching at his arm with a bloodied hand. She won't be able to hear him, but perhaps she'll know what he's saying anyway:[break][break]

Melody Miro's information is valuable and he quickly tries to identify her signature next to Cobalion's. She's not an avatar, to his knowledge, but would there be a change in her energy too? He looked to jayden cross, eager to show him the spiking reading she was pulling from having both avatar and patrons out nearby only to falter for a moment as the Admin began attacking in full force. His own latent avatarship manifested in an instant. The twisting hatred of his expression and the ice spreading not just from his fingertips out. But his hair tips in. Slowly but surely. A glance is given to fern delaney to see if he catches the change but he doesn't say anything. [break][break]

Neon hesitated, swallowing hard as he turned to watch the spear that flew towards Remiel Calcifet so fiercely. It darts past one of the many crowded around Hoppa and Remiel. The comms come to life and Neon snaps back when he hears someone calling Jayden a moron. “But did you die? No?? Then how about you get a clue and get the fuck out of range, Camellia Lemaitre, before I shoot you down myself?” He shouted, coming to the defense of one very agitated avatar. As if on cue his Gigalith continued shooting volleys of its tell tale ROCK BLAST, aiming attacks at ZEKROM, and any other pokemon in the vicinity of the Djinn. [break][break]

Even with the others in the way, Remiel still gets hit and Neon looks to Jayden to see if that satisfies the bloodlust.

DEFYING THE TRUTH

As Team Rocket's comms continued to crackle with chatter, Zev tuned in to Neffatari Nzingha's input. She was right: they had no idea what allowing Kyurem to consume Zekrom as well as Reshiram would entail. Better to prevent further frustrations than invite them. [break][break]

He gave her a single nod of his head. Then, once again, mint frost piped up about Zev's powers. "I can't replicate it exactly," he said, "only with certain energy, like light." [break][break]

Still, the question gave him an idea, especially after jayden cross conjured an enormous icicle and flung it skyward. A telltale itch spread along the length of Zev's right arm as his crystals tore through his sleeve in tiers of spikes. Heat built up in his chest, the accumulation of gathered light. [break][break]

Within moments, his arm transformed into a cannon-like mechanism of twisting, alien design. It ended in a set of hooked claws. Energy began to gather there, building with a loud thrumming sound. [break][break]

"Everyone behind me," Zev said into his mic as he took several steps toward Hoopa and Kyurem, even as a cloak of frozen air shimmered into existence around the two Pokémon. [break][break]

KYUREM's booming tumult of a voice rang out across the barren icelands, with HOOPA's echoed translation a close mirror. Through the freezing air and incessant blizzard Barnaby did his best to try and wrap his head around the prophecy.[break][break]

Some lines felt painfully familiar, while others just left him feeling frustratingly confused. There was little time to dwell on it, however, as the ground began to quake beneath his boots.[break][break]

The earth splintered before them, revealing rocky entrails encrusted with gleaming TERA CRYSTALS. Barnaby couldn't help but think of howard slayte in that moment, as he looked down into the crystalline abyss, and how vehemently the man had considered them a cancer to Hoenn. [break][break]

Suddenly, a golden ring materialized beside him and Steven Campbell and a HOOPA's fist flew out. There was barely enough time to react; reflexively, Barnaby dove downward over Steven, pinning them back onto the snowy ground.[break][break]

Behind them lights flashed against the roiling sky and a defeating boom heralded Zev Harcourt's laser beam. Once the din died down, the admin asked over the storm,[break][break]

Lydia and her nameless companion escape mostly unphased. But this is due mostly to their inability to move forward than any true action on their part. Each time the blonde lifts her head, an attack is fired off in one direction or another. Her teeth grind together as her urge to move forward grows stronger. [break][break]

She watches as one legendary is caught in the Hoopa’s grip. The powerful Moon Blasts are seemingly useless in the bout. But she has seen what a single drop of water can do to stone. And examined the smallness of a single grain of sand on a beach. Each action, no matter how small, is predetermined by Arceus themselves. If a single one were neglected, the very reality they live in might turn out different. They are a tapestry made up of choices—good and bad. [break][break]

A shard of ice slices across Lydia’s cheek. “Tsk!” She hisses as she drops back out of sight. A finger lifting to probe her bleeding cheek. The ground beneath her begins to shake as the fissure collapses into a chasm. Perhaps, Arceus has chosen this. Is this to be my fate? A reminder of the folly of opposing gods? The words of the prophecy wash over her in a wave. [break][break]

Then, she sees him. “Lord Keldeo!” The successor to the musketeers and the embodiment of courage himself. It is the goat’s appearance that finally forces the pair from its hiding place. Its Helping Hand wraps the Iron Valiant in a soft, bluish light. The glowing patches on its body flare in intensity. “Let’s go.” With a nod, the pair began racing across the landscape. Bright blue eyes watch for flying fists as the veteran dances around and between the icicles around them. [break][break]

Her feet fall into the divots left by the water type’s valiant hooves. Now closer, the woman gestures the automaton forward. “Disable it!”

Somewhere along the way, stray ice, rock, and electricity strike Smaug. Wear and tear builds. Navy sees the beginnings of frost on the Roaring Moon. He will not lose another one.[break][break]
“Gotta land. My Pokemon’s hit.” He calls out over the comms, beginning a mad descent to the ground. Winter’s winds berate him on all sides. The ground rises up to meet him. Smaug collapses as soon as he hits the ground, massive wings only just keeping him from slamming into the stone.[break][break]
“You’ll make it, buddy, you’ll make i-”[break][break]
Shooting across the battlefield like a blur, a legend passes them by. In place of human words, he offers swift action. A hoof finds the right pokeball and presses it, sending Smaug to safety. With its helping hand given, Keldeo is off. He’s needed elsewhere. A hero’s work is, after all, never done.[break][break]
“Yo, Melody. Cobalion’s friend is here.” He says on the radio. “Keldeo I think his name is?”[break][break]
Pulling out another pokeball, he releases a Dragonite. Grendel looks up, then to Navy, and nods. He will not begrudge the sheriff his need to rejoin the battle in the skies above.[break][break]
Mounting the dragon, he takes off, Grendel sending a safeguard above to help those who trail across the sky.

heat licks the back of her neck. meteoric shrapnel pings against the lightweight metal of her sygna suit. her cape flutters behind her, staving off the brunt of the ballistic fire. ori expertly evades the meteors, but screeches when an oncoming projectile comes into line of sight. freya braces for impact, but a shower of rocks plinks down her armor, rattling over ori's scales, and they emerge from the other side unscathed. freya cannot see their savior (Hyakkaryōran Tsubaki) but she thanks them soundlessly and wheels sharply in the air so she can get a good look at the hoopa.[break][break]

its attention is torn from zekrom. others have stepped into assist the prince. so she hisses and ori's wings stretch, filling like sails to bring them up and into the air in a reactive position.[break][break]

the battlefield is an icy wasteland. snow falls in a thick blanket, creating snowy dunes of buried pokemon. the prophecy rings in her ears and the hoopa extends its hands into the earth. her breath curls in front of her, frosts against pink cheeks.[break][break]

what point are prophetic words for the dead? this place is hallowed ground, of that she's sure, and something within the earth is festering with life. but more importantly, this is no sepulchre. this is not their doomsday.[break][break]

"the kyurem's getting weaker," she shouts into her comms to Eva Morales. they have no idea what will happen if the beast is felled. if it's taken reshiram from them, is part of it still in there? is some half-forgotten loyalty to hoenn's people that what stays its hunger? "but eva, it's not attacking us. [break][break]

but hoopa is. [break][break]

ori hums and suddenly they're falling. she looks up, where they'd just been, and sees a blinding tear in the sky. sunspots dance over her vision and she whirls, following the stream of light. the storm rages on, but through it shes glimpses a darkness that could devour worlds.

Instantly, she recognizes the light of the Black Knight (Zev Harcourt). It is the opening salvo of the end. There is no Skeleton to engage it in battle, but it is just as much a threat to this world as the unfettered Truth. [break][break]

The resulting explosion throws them back. Tsutsuji desperately tries to stay in the air, flapping her wings wildly. [break][break]

The dragon reads her thoughts with her telepathy and follows suit. [break][break]

"Freya!! You alright!?"[break][break]

She calls to the councilwoman, frantically searching for her. A few seconds and she spots her trademark Salamence, the woman still perched atop it. She's safe, so it seems. Lost though her voice may be in the storm, she can still access the open comms channel.[break][break]

"... The fuck's the Knight doin' here, actin' like it's on our side...?"[break][break]

Memories of another life prove that isn't the case. [break][break]

"Shit, might be in over our head after all."[break][break]

She adds, looking down at the chasm dotted with Tera Crystals. Prophecy echoes in her ears. The bright light of a God is still burned into her vision. It's all a distraction from what really matters. [break][break]

Tsutsuji, stop the Djinn... Draco Meteor!![break][break]

Blue flames congeal out of thin air, a meteor made of all of Tsutsuji's draconic energy. As she pours all of her energy into a single attack, a shimmering white comet bathes her in light, aiding her attack with a helping hand. Only the faintest glimpse of an equine silhouette and it's gone again.[break][break]
