Mt. Chimney was sort of a tourist attraction for Trey. As a budding ecologist, he was interested in studying the local flora and fauna and how they interacted with each other, of course, but the giant volcano's fame and nearby town were equally as interesting on their own.

He wouldn't be able to act as a meager tourist today, however.

One giant Venusaur was one thing, but two? They might have been focused on each other, but the chaos that erupted between them was affecting the surrounding area just as much as if they were attacking it outright. He winced as he watched a cable car sway back and forth as Toxic Chains and vines shot out into the air, narrowly missing the occupants inside. There were people already gathering to help break the barriers; he might as well shoot his shot, too.

"Get as close as you can to the base of one and go for a Giga Impact," Trey instructed Riot, the Fraxure scratching his tusks on the side of a boulder before emitting an eager battle cry. His entire body seemed to glow before he propelled himself forward, head crashing into a barrier near a Venusaur leg. Just a little more...

Trey winced as his stomach flipped. The ongoing nausea and fatigue had been getting harder to combat; he'd been resting every other day and taking every over-the-counter medicine known to man, but it dulled the effects at best. He swayed in place, stumbling as he stepped into an impression in the ground the resembled a large pawprint. A Mightyena? He scrunched his nose. Nah. What, then? What else was at large here?

The fissure in reality, the Border, was nearby. Would this cause some disruption with that, too?[break][break]

"These just keep getting worse and worse. Can you feel it?" He asked Cillian Quinn, Glancing over. With a frown, he called out his Kingler. A swift order had it Guillotine at the larger pokemon. His own Dynamax band felt right on his wrist; he wondered if maybe his Eevee could have helped more.

The trip to Lavaridge Town wasn't as peaceful as Thea was expecting, with a giant Venusaur just popping up like that? There was no Megazord to deal with that gigantic amphibian (?) Kaiju wannabe![break][break]

"Zeus, get rid of these fallen trees, we need a clean path if we want to get out of here!" Thea yelled as she ran, craddling a wounded wild Charmander, while other wild Charmanders and Charmeleons were being guided by Belle, the Minccino, that used her Helping Hand to escort and give a hand to them, not letting them fall behind. Gominha, the Wigglytuff, also helped with the escorting, picking up any wild Pokémon that tripped on roots or rocks that were on the way.[break][break]

Zeus oinked, charging forward at full speed and grabbing the fallen trees, using a herculean strength to throw them out of the way with Seismic Tosses, clearing the path to make the evacuation easier. "Good, good! Just a little more and—" Thea blinked, seeing a shadow suddenly hovering over her, prompting her to look up to spot the intimidating sight of a giant vine ready to slam down with all its might. "Oh my Arc—"[break][break]

The vine slammed, barely hitting Thea and the group, but instead striking a fallen log that leveraged like a seesaw, throwing Thea, her Pokémon, and the family of Charmanders all the way up to the skies.[break][break]

"— EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUUS!" Thea screamed as she flailed her legs, eventually curling to hold the Charmander she was craddling tightly and protectively. With the abrupt lift, Gominha knew that the fall would be far from painless, so she inflated midair to grab her trainer before falling and serving as cushion to soften everyone's fall.[break][break]

As Thea and the others were safe on the ground again, it took a moment for them to resume their run, but another vine was already incoming.[break][break]

Gominha huffed, taking a deep breath and inhaling as much air as she could, inflating more and more until she reached an absurd size, grappling the vine that was about to slam, hoping to Disable it.[break][break]

"G-Good call, Gominha! Everyone, let's go, NOW!" She hurried, picking up the pace while Belle and Zeus pushed the other Pokémons to run faster, hopefully reaching the safety before Gominha shrunk again to roll and take a leave herself.

Beau called out his Incineroar with barely a thought as he marveled at the enormous Venusaur. The Garbodor had been startlingly impressive, but this - this was really dangerous.

Roaring, he bellowed a command to Incineroar, who leapt at the gigantic Grass-type with a Flare Blitz that cracked the shield protecting the Venusaur. "Come on, brah, you can do better than that! Remember your training and HIT IT WHERE IT HURTS!" he enthused, slamming his own chest with a fist emphatically.

Landing, the Incineroar responded with a snarl before launching another attack, joining in the assault. Beau felt another wave of nausea, the gorge rising in his throat, but he simply spat to one side and returned his attention to the threat at hand. Taking care of himself could come later, there were people and pokemon at stake first.

Cillian feels sluggish, as though his thoughts must sift through a mountain of sand. His reflexes are dulled, the MIASMA barely enough to keep him on par with a regular human. He narrowly ducks a wayward vine, swaying unsteadily as he straightens back up.

He must swallow the saliva that builds in his mouth before he replies to Tempest Quinn, lest he lose his lunch to the pollen-coated earth.

"I can feel it," he confirms, grim. "I don't like this."

It felt like each time, the sickness took longer to pass. It came on more intensely. Would there come a point where it simply didn't fade at all? Could it kill them, if left unchecked? For Rocket, they might be but unfortunate pioneers. Test subjects.

This was getting out of hand. Now there were two of them! As the pair of colossal Venusaur rampaged over Route 112, Andrea and her dragons rushed to the scene. Against Dynamax, high-impact moves were the name of the game, and it was also what her team excelled at.

"Chomper, Draco Meteor! RAWR~!" With her Sygna Suit weaponizing her BRAVERY as well as turning her normally feeble roar into a resounding Dragon Cheer, her signature Hydreigon should be able to do quite some damage.

But that was not all. The girl activated her Z-Ring next. It was time for her Tyrantrum to unleash its new power. "Regina, show them why you were the Queen of the Stone Age! PALEOLITHIC GNASHING!!" The draconic cosplayer exclaimed.

Climbing up the slopes towards the heated battle that the two enlarged Venusaur, Noel panted with every step he took. It wasn't the exhaustion of having to ascend up so many hills and steps, but rather something far more deadly. Every time he got close to these toxic chain incidents, he could feel his body break down ever so slightly more. Every breath he took was harder than the last, if this continued on, who knows how long he would last.[break][break]

But still he continues on. While he was down here, people were potentially getting hurt by those Gigantamaxed Pokemon. He didn't have time to figure out a way to get better, he needed to help those he can, even if he might be the one in need of the most help right now. So up he goes, ready to face the titans while providing as much assistance as possible.

Taking the information she learned from her previous encounter with these poisoned Pokémon. She felt more prepared this time as this time she brought her reuniclus with overcoat to protect itself and resist the poison as much as it could. [break][break]

A massive venasaur appeared in front of them and Melody saw that the others were handling it pretty well so she raised her hands in the area "Everyone! Come over this way! Reuniculus push away any threats to their safety!" she orders as the reuniclus uses PSYCHIC to push away any of the dust coming towards them. [break][break]

The dust was harmless against the OVERCOAT ability reuniclus activated, it's gelatinous shell protecting it from harm. What a peculiar phenomenon

As the battle raged on, Thomas, accompanied by a Vivillon, investigated the area around the battle.

As pollen and dust shot out towards them, the ocean-patterned butterfly flapped his wings, in order to kick up a gust that blasted the pollen away from them.

"Thank you.", he told the bug.

Looking down, he'd quickly take notice of a particular set of footprints. They looked like they belonged to a canine, and were rather small. Interestingly enough, the source of the footprints seemed to indicate that a bipedal Pokemon left them.

Thomas took a picture of the footprints. As much as he wanted to create a plaster cast of the footprints, he felt he had no time to do so, as the battle might pour over to his position, and destroy his work.

Dynamax, born of an evil that few understood. Howard would've thought that those from Galar would have a healthier respect for what stands before them, but they don't.

To an extent, he can understand. Humanity's desire to harness the world was a desire as old as time.

"I'll bring it down to our level! Monroe!" Howard shouted as his scarf flapped in the wind. He pointed for one Venusaur's knee. "Head Smash!"

The fossil charged forward as her skull crashed against the barrier, which began to spread a latticework of cracks. Dynamax was an illusion, and the barrier that protected it was beginning to fail. This was their lot in Hoenn's war.

They were here to slay giants.

Lavaridge was supposed to be a relaxing school trip before the end of the school year, and yet... Knight couldn't believe it when he saw the two giant Pokémon facing off against each other! He grabbed Fitzwilliam around the waist and hoisted him up, "Yeah, you're not fighting that." He warned, though the Farfetch'd flailed in protest and tried to hit Kay with his leek.[break][break]
A vine, which looked more like a chain if Kay stared long enough, crashed nearby and he took a few steps back. Pollen filled the air and Knight coughed a few times before using his sleeve to cover his mouth and nose, "We better head back inside." Their walk was going to be cut short but Knight would rather keep himself and his 'mon safe.[break][break]
This definitely wasn't a situation they were equipped to handle.[break][break]
As he turned to follow the path back to the pension they were staying in, Knight spotted some tracks in the dirt, which distracted him for a moment. They seemed like this might have been made by some kind of dog 'mon, "Did you see anything that would have made those...?" He asked Fitz, another coughing fit hitting him. His head felt a little woozy and his arms were heavy.[break][break]
He needed to get back quickly. He gave the paw-print one last look and started a very slow jog back to the safety of his classmates.

"We've come here to help," Lutgarde tells the passengers of the cable car with a reassuring smile as they break open the door, and enter the little cabin. "My Togekiss Sylph will bring you down safely. On the ground, there's more rangers to guide you away." The civilians nod, relieved about their rescue, and are safely flewn down.

While Sylph is carrying the civilians, Lutgarde sits in the cable car themself, with Sylv in their lap. Both are looking out the window at the two massive pokémon, fighting with both vines and toxic chains. They wonder if Dynamax is a good thing, generally speaking, or ... but maybe it's one of those inevitable things, truly. Either way, the technology would have found its way ...

They stand up, Sylv climbing onto their shoulder, and hop off the car just in time for Sylph to fly below them, carrying them to another cable car that still has passengers in it.
