SLATEPORT - ABANDONED WAREHOUSES. Droves Weezing and Koffing have been spotted in the abandoned warehouses of Slateport City. Not only do they spew toxic gases that threaten to waft into civilian-crowded areas, these Pokemon are prone to SELF-DESTRUCTING. Although the use of the move, SELF-DESTRUCT, does not mean death, the TOXIC CHAINS wrapped around their connecting tubes remove their inhibitions.[break][break]

Should they explode, they will detonate with the fiercest of blasts, ultimately resulting in their deaths.[break][break]

Stop them before they wreak havoc on the city—and should they begin to SELF-DESTRUCT, stop them from causing the others to detonate in a toxic chain reaction...

with increased defenses when poisoned, kyle takes his milotic out for better results when dealing with the weezing.

dealing with the volatile pokemon was tedious work, and to make sure they don't explode, they either have to hit it with one good strike or put it to sleep.

"hypnosis."

kyle goes for the more peaceful approach with his milotic, putting these pokemon to sleep before they can detonate themselves.

"Easy now..." Remiel warns THORGRIM, his GALARIAN MEOWTH. Together, they've cornered one of the TOXIC CHAINED WEEZING in an alleyway. It seems agitated, to say the least, and the Galarian isn't exactly certain a Pokemon with Thorgrim's disposition was the right choice to calm it down.[break][break]

Nevertheless, he cannot deny the HYPNOTIC effect the Galarian Meowth's eyes seem to have on it. It purrs gently as it stares the Weezing down with a toothy smile, gently waving its paws about. The Weezing, and all of its heads, stare right back. And, gradually, their eyes begin to close until the symbiotic being ultimately collapses ASLEEP.[break][break]

Remiel, in the meantime, is forced to smother a coughing fit in his arm as he turns away. Perhaps he'd inhaled a little too much of the HAZE that had been in the air earlier. Or, perhaps, he was participating in too many of these POISON PATROLS. Either way, he knows he needs rest.[break][break]

Thomas realized the danger of the group of Koffing and Weezing exploding. Not only would the Warehouses be devastated, but the destruction would likely pour into the City.

As the Koffing and Weezing threatened to Self-Destruct, his Gengar floated up front.

"Hypnotize them.", Thomas ordered.

The Gengar began to transmit hypnotic waves towards the Weezing, attempting to pacify them, before they could explode.

Abandoned ware houses weren’t safe either it seemed. Droves of Weezing had made their way into these unfortunate places and now threatened dealing major damage to people and structures.

Of course Johanna came here to help as well this time as well. By her Side was Gengar.

“Put them to sleep, we don’t want to risk them self destructing.” Johanna would guide the Ghost as it began to do it’s best, beaming the poisoned poison types with HYPNOSIS to ease their aggression and self destructive tendencies.

There’s a distress call from one of the warehouses in Slateport. Several Weezing were seen with Toxic Chains wrapped around their connecting bodies and the danger of them using Self-Destruct was a worry. Elise gets onto the scene with Oberon the Butterfree hovering alongside her where she sees the fuming poison type Pokemon with pain on their faces.[break][break]

The male Butterfree flies into the air as he spreads Sleep Powder onto the forms of the Toxic Chained Weezing. Luckily, his move is able to work its way into making sure they are all asleep before they can do anything to the warehouses as each of the Weezing fall fast asleep.

Lifting a finger to her lips, Bubby takes the cue and spews Sleep Powder upon the Koffing. Once its eyes begin to flutter, she'll scoop up the numerous Joltiks into her arms and book it.

As the Koffings and Weezings began to detonate, a dark cloud appeared over the sky, plotting it out. What was it? A swarm of Pidgey flying overhead? A plane? An arbitrary cloud on an otherwise perfectly clear day? Weirder things had happened in Hoenn, as weathermen at Mt. Chimney would likely realize, courtesy of MATIAS SILPH .

No, this was no mere cloud. A cloud wouldn't consist of several wings.

FLAP! FLAP! FLAP! FLAP!

The clapping of symmetrical wings and feathers rang out over the area like a proclamation of war. Sigilyph did not fly in swarms like this, for they were sentinels of kingdoms long since banished, buried under metric tons of sand. The Desert Ruins, Ancient Tomb, and Island Cave likely had such guardians once, but they were long since deactivated and buried.

"Admin Fox." Howard grunted into his walkie-talkie as he approached the area. The cloud descended towards the area. Immediately, a swarm of Hypnosis was released in order to lull the exploding Pokemon into a lull. "I have arrived."

Immediately, he let out a hacking cough that lasted for several seconds. Pain. Mochi. His eyes flashed with visions that seemed oddly familiar, yet not at all. He could've sworn that he saw an odd monkey for a moment, but the shapes were too disjointed to tell.

The color purple coated his hand as he wiped his mouth with his sleeve. That too was stained magenta.

popping into Slateport for a surprise visit to FERNANDO SILPH, petra's mood is soured when he is too busy to see her. and it's only ruined further when another swarm of intoxicated pokemon interrupt the part-timer on her way out of the city. " oh c'mon! can't you guys give it a break already!?" retrieving a pokeball from her hip, the gastly she summons is quick to follow any command.

at first, this would come in the form of a hypnosis being cast upon one of the koffing - who'd quickly find the solace of it's slumber invaded by a dream eater.

This is a delicate operation. Previously, you'd been able to suppress these Toxic Chain outbreaks with nothing but a little bit of wit and a lot of sheer force. Now, though? Anything less than a delicate touch is liable to get you blown to smithereens.

And you won't tolerate that. Not again.

So, what is the solution to a Weezing with explosive tendencies and an itchy trigger finger? Something that stops them from detonating themselves in the first place. Sleep, right? But as it happens, you're short any kind of Pokemon that can bust out a Spore of a Hypnosis, and that means you have to get a little... creative.

"Chirp chirp chirp, chirp chirp chirp, chirp chirp CHIRP chirp chirp chirp ~ ♪"
"That's it, chico, thaaaaaaat's it... Close your eyes and go to sleep..."

As your Skeledirge sings one of the Weezing to sleep, you suppress a yawn of your own. Trying to stamp out all these Toxic Chain sightings is exhausting. Pair that with the rough shape you're in at the best of times, and you're run ragged. Every time an incident alert goes out, your brain begs you to just sit this one out.

But you can't. Because you won't.

Lam had thought being tied to someone so fond of the more aurally egregious Pokémon would make him more immune to the smell— this is not true.[break][break]

Mallow is equally displeased to be dragged from the safe haven of her pokeball. A serene and gentle, but proud creature, the altaria coos in annoyance. None too pleased to sense that the smog will cling to her neat and clean feathers. It will take ages to get the smell out.[break][break]

Her beak opens to chirp out a shriller protest, but Lam’s hand shoots up to hold a finger to his mouth in panic. The shirt falls from his nose and his face contorts in distaste again. “We have to subdue them quietly, or boom!” he whispers, miming and explosion. “How ‘bout a lullaby?”[break][break]

Usually, the surrounding sea played the biggest part of Slateport's ambience, but a peculiar handful of poison-types had another plan. Like fireworks, they exploded, taking a toll on the city's abandoned warehouses, but the chaos wouldn't last long. Many nearby civilians stepped in as heroes, using their own pokemon to put the bombs to sleep before they could add any further damage.

Roy was no different.

"Put them to sleep," his order was swift and confident.

With a single hand gesture, the draconid beckoned his ivysaur and ordered him to use Sleep Powder. From the bulb on its rear, the reptilian pumped a fine powder into the vicinity and put the nearby poison-types to sleep. The creature used its vines to spread the dust to catch additional targets.
