SETTING: LATE SEPTEMBER
THIRD DAY OF THE WAR
WESTERN GUZZLORD
THE GREEDY BEHEMOTH CHARGES INTO THE GROUP. It is an unstoppable force. Even a
GRASS KNOT fails to trip it. At the apex of its charge, it swings its mace-tail in a violent sweep. Up close, the creature seems to blot out the sky. Its shadow looms across the entire party as it towers above them like the skyscrapers it devours.[break][break][break]
Balder Schwartz attempts to slow the
DRAGON TAIL with his Duraludon’s
BREAKING SWIPE. Initially, it seems powerful enough— however, the Guzzlord swiftly overpowers the dragon. Duraludon’s dense body skids back, digging trails into the grassy earth.[break][break][break]

As
Moana Reyes attempts to flee, two of his Pokemon are successfully recalled; however, the tail strikes his Pineco as they’re pulled away by
PSYCHIC. The sun-tanned trainer feels his Pineco desperately
PROTECT against the attack, its tree bark scales digging deep into the other’s gut. Despite the protection, the
Pineco seems severely weakened— and
Moana Reyes would find the bark has cut into his flesh underneath his clothes.[break][break][break]
Similarly,
Raziel Beckett would see his Gallade struck by the
DRAGON TAIL. Despite its size, the creature’s aggression is fuel enough to make it terrifyingly fast in its strikes. As the Gallade is tossed to the side, the Pokemon lands,
harmed but still kicking.[break][break][break]
While
Thomas Benoit hoists
gigi bae onto his Hydreigon’s back, they narrowly miss the tail. The streamer realizes how big this creature is, for their flight scales its body like a mountain. As the Elite Four’s Pokemon hurls attacks at the creature’s arms, her capture attempt of a Kartana fails, the Pokeball rolling on the ground coldly. It lands nearby her Vikavolt, who witnesses
Andy Blackadder’s Yanmega attempt to
BUG BUZZ the Guzzlord.[break][break][break]
The prehistoric insect flickers around, its speedy wings almost invisible as it boosts itself in the air. However, as the Guzzlord stuffs a League soldier into its endless mouth, it waits patiently. Suddenly, it lunges for
Andy Blackadder’s Yanmega with its tongue-arm, clamping around its body with a grip so fierce, it threatens to snap the bug in half.[break][break][break]
gigi bae’s Vikavolt, with an exceptionally powerful
X-SCISSOR, rushes before the Yanmega's consumption. It snaps off the one tongue as it lands on the ground. The
Yanmega is injured grievously, but it manages to fly back to
Andy Blackadder safely. On the ground, the tongue dissolves into a puddle of poison.[break][break][break]

As Guzzlord wails from the pain, an ear-splitting scream reverberates across the battlefield. Those by the truck would be deaf to this sound, for the sound of a
HYPER BEAM is enough to numb the sense.[break][break][break]
Balder Schwartz’s Mega Camerupt summons a ferocious
EARTH POWER on the Guzzlord’s tail. The resulting quake causes the stout creature to lose its balance while his Zeraora attempts to strike its tongue. The attack hits hard; however, the Guzzlord’s otherworldly body is tougher than it looks.
Raziel Beckett’s Zerarora launches an
AURA SPHERE alongside
Balder Schwartz’s, and hope briefly settles among the party.[break][break][break]
As
Adrian Malcolm’s Alakazam
TELEPORTS his party away, his Gardevoir attempts to
DAZZLING GLEAM the Guzzlord in an attempt to support the engaging forces. The light is combined with the dramatic evolution of
Balder Schwartz’s Galarian Ponyta. The flashbang buys enough time for the Ponyta to complete its evolution, and as it
DAZZLING GLEAMS immediately,
Remiel Calcifet’s Duraludon manages to
STEEL BEAM the Guzzlord as well in an incredible surge of metallic light. From the Cycling Road,
Cillian Quinn’s Lycanroc attacks with
ROCK SLIDE to batter it more.[break][break][break]
When the Guzzlord tilts,
Remiel Calcifet’s Ampharos follows up with a
BULLDOZE. The earth rumbles further. From a distance,
kyle lopez’s Smeargle fires a
HYPER BEAM with a flick of its paintbrush tail. It explodes on impact, catching the Ultra Beast off-guard before causing it to stumble further— but the final push that condemns it into the waters is
Adrian Malcolm’s red Gyarados. After his Grimmsnarl weakens the tail further with a savage
SPIRIT BREAK, the serpentine Pokemon
WATERFALLS the Guzzlord into the water.[break][break][break]
However, as it falls, its remaining tongue-arm lashes out. The Guzzlord grabs the Gyarados by the throat and brings it with it into the water. Everyone would be able to see
Adrian Malcolm’s Pokemon writhe and gasp as the Guzzlord seems to widen. Inside its maw, a
HYPER BEAM begins to charge,
threatening to burn the Gyarados to a crisp, and anyone nearby, for the creature begins to rotate with its developing beam.[break][break][break]
Remiel Calcifet TELEPORTS into the building up north. He summons his shadowfied Druddigon, its powerful claws at the ready. However, within the tent, a
Poipole strikes into his side as five Megalopolan soldiers present within attempt to capture him with stun batons.[break][break][break]
AHEAD OF THE TRUCK
LEAGUE’S TOP TRAINERS HEAD THE ASSAULT ON CYCLING ROAD. A devastating
IRON HEAD from
kyle lopez’s Type: Null clobbers Megalopolan troops. Briefly, a troop hollers,
“ENEMY HAS ONE!” before being brutalized by the synthetic Pokemon’s helmet. A
MOONBLAST from
marcel maeda’s Gardevoir swiftly clears another group before they can surround
kyle lopez while he rides his Manectric.[break][break][break]
A
CHARGE BEAM is fired to distract the eastern Guzzlord as
Bailey Cooper’s Pokemon launch themselves from the supply vehicle.[break][break][break]
They land on the grassy path, the Mega Steelix able to glide with its terrifying jaws toward one of the tongue-arms. The combined attacks of her Aggron, Kommo-o, Togekiss and Steelix allow her to tear off one tongue-arm as
Cillian Quinn’s Lucario’s
LIFE DEW sprinkles above them. However, an
EARTHQUAKE from
Katherine Fairburne’s Dusknoir rocks the Guzzlord’s body, including
Bailey Cooper’s Pokemon.[break][break][break]
The two would contend with several forces before witnessing what occurs next.[break][break][break]
CRAZY TAXI
AS THE TRUCK MAKES THE TURN, the Guzzlord’s
HYPER BEAM charges, the screaming it makes is courses through flesh and bone. Several make their escape, abandoning the supply vehicle while
marcel maeda shouts at the driver,
Lucas Lane, to turn the ruckus off.[break][break][break]
Samuel Boothe’s Alakazam
TELEPORTS him out into the air. Strategically, they mount their Salamence who flies above the Cycling Road. Behind them,
cait alfric’s Braviary launches
AIR SLASHES while occupying the same aerial space.[break][break][break]
In the brief amount of time, the truck is fortified with defenses. Those dedicated to the cause of escorting the vehicle layer it with
PROTECTS, STONE EDGE BARRICADES, and LIGHT SCREENS. Inside the car,
circe crowley offers a curt command to
Lucas Lane to floor it. Those still in the vehicle, like
Lulu Flint,
Cillian Quinn, and
marcel maeda, would find that it is emptier than expected. Coolly,
dominic sinclair rematerializes from the shadows ahead, avoiding the trajectory of the beam while his Pokemon follow and protect the truck.[break][break][break]
While
Kaine Ikari’s Venomoth
QUIVER DANCES, his Scyther attempts to catch up with the assault in the front. Likewise,
Lulu Flint’s Perrserker and Blaziken attempts to catch up as well— however, it is her Weezing that manages to get there first, for it is already within close distance of the Guzzlord’s jaw.[break][break][break]

With a resigned expression, the Weezing finds its silhouette engulfed by the
HYPER BEAM’s drastic light. The gases within its body react and in its dying moments, the
DESTINY BONDING Weezing,
EXPLODES. Supplemented by
Katherine Fairburne’s Dusknoir, who
EARTHQUAKES, the trajectory of the
HYPER BEAM is changed
thanks to Lulu Flint's Weezing's sacrifice.[break][break][break]
The
HYPER BEAM strikes the Cycling Road’s structure instead— which is already destabilized by the quaking earth from
Katherine Fairburne’s Dusknoir. As the beam fires with a screech, the supply vehicle
FLIPS OFF THE COMPROMISED BRIDGE in a spectacular explosion of rubble. Inside the vehicle, Pokemon, trainers, and crates toss around, save for one that seems to be floating.[break][break][break]

As the truck’s passengers struggle with the gut wrenching vertigo of a falling vehicle, they would see through the cracked windshield and
PROTECTING Aegislash that they are about to crash on to the grassy route below. And they do. Briefly, the
DEFENSES WRAPPING AROUND THE VEHICLE allow it to bounce once before it rolls behind the Guzzlord in a violent, grisly crash. Glass shatters as the metal frame is dent and busted. The truck comes to a rest a few meters away from the Guzzlord. Everyone comes to, surprisingly alive.

However, the floating crate moves. A “brick” that makes up the crate’s face pulls away. A blue eye on its cube shape blinks open before firing a laser to blow open an entrance big enough for everyone to leave out of. As the crate swiftly moves outward, the Stakataka bricks reorganize themselves. They hoist a lanky man by the arms, his facial hair grown enough for a moustache and goatee.[break][break][break]

“NEVER AGAIN.” Jules Cotillard cracks his neck, his sore, cramped body finding relief from the confined quarters of the crate. The Stakataka bricks begin to carry him toward the Power Plant at frightening speeds.[break][break][break]
The Power Plant can be seen in the distance.[break][break][break]
EASTERN GUZZLORD ATTACK
AS THE ATTACKS LAND ON THE ULTRA BEAST, the Guzzlord wails in protest. Its missing tongue-arm disintegrates into a poisonous puddle, forcing
Cillian Quinn's Corviknight to retreat. Light beams across the route as
Rex Drago’s Aerodactyl arrives. It mega evolves. Roaring, the Aerodactyl combines its
ICE FANG with the other attacks that land on its tough carapace.[break][break][break]
As it becomes surrounded, the Guzzlord "tucks itself in" and begins to
STEAMROLLER. Like a spiky bowling ball, it begins to spin. Picking up speed, the obsidian Ultra Beast begins to
ROLL INTO THE POKEMON AROUND IT BEFORE ADVANCING UP THE GRASSY PATH. THOSE IN THE SUPPLY VEHICLE ARE IN ITS WAY. If that wasn't bad enough, the Ultra Beast's maw continually regurgitates poison, leaving an
ACID TRAIL OF TOXIN AS IT ROLLS AWAY, LIKE A FAST SLUG.[break][break][break]

- The Ultra Beasts in these raids will not be exactly the same as their previous iterations on the site.

It was a blur of motion as the truck jerked forward, taking off with a resounding screech of tires. Her dragapult released its hold onto the truck in favor of cruising nearby, on standby for further command. Just as the scientist prepared to lean back into her seat a bit and finally breathe though, there was a bellowing noise in the distance, a roar that sounded all too familiar, and one that sent an immediate sensation of sheer annoyance.
Samuel was not mentally nor physically prepared for the truck to take off as fast it did nor was he ready for the music that began blaring, loud enough to make him cover his ears from the initial burst of sound.
