A SIREN'S UNSUNG SYMPHONY

MOONSHINE AND STARLIGHT wash over Lilycove City as night befalls. Across the sea, their image is reflected, disturbed only when a peculiar ship silently docks within the city’s port.[break][break][break]

Lilycove’s harbor. A house to a wide selection of ships and boats. However, none seem to compare in size to the one that was rapidly approaching. It towers well above the others, a pristine coat of metallic paint covers each section of it neatly. The ship appeared to be spotless and devoid of any blemishes, evidently well-kept by its staff. One could easily confuse it for a property of the army. In addition, big, white letters decorate the vehicle’s lower part, its name presented in bold: S.S Falls. [break][break][break]

All seems to be well.[break][break]

All is well until the clock strikes twelve.[break][break][break]

On this particular night, midnight marks more than just a date change. It acts as a signal for Rocket and alerts each of the organization’s members that the operation is a go. The orchestrator, Declan Walsh, may not be here but he is felt in spirit. His orchestra begins to play all according to the notes they’ve been tasked with memorizing.[break][break][break]

Silently, a number of Galarian Weezings are released from their pokeballs, each donning a sinister stare that is uncharacteristic for fairy-types. No order is called out following their appearance, and for the briefest of moments, it almost appears as if this pack of pokemon was lost, having strayed away too far from their natural habitat.[break][break][break]

But such a concern is immediately dispelled when they begin to pollute the air with their STRANGE BEAMS, expelling shimmering mist in the direction of the ship. Together, the attacks combine to form a large, pink cloud of CONFUSING gas. The squad of trainers (kyle lopez, Razz Kingsman, skyler dross, Sénon Game) that is tasked with defending the vehicle is within crossfire range as well, forced to fend for themselves.[break][break][break]

As expected, the league does have visitors. Vultures have set their eyes on the precious cargo and have taken interest in whatever it is that’s meant to be transported away from Lilycove Museum tonight. As chaos and disorder begin to spread and bloom, one of the trainers stationed on the ship calls out to warn everybody else, ”THE CAR IS HERE! W-WE CAN'T LOSE THE CARGO!”[break][break][break]

Her voice breaks once realization sets in - they aren’t close enough to protect it or bring it to the ship in time. They’ve been caught off guard. However, the diligent workers of Lilycove Museum have prepared for such an occasion as well. A luminous, bright flash of pink light blends along with the confusing gas just before a TELEPORT ensues.[break][break][break]

In unison, two Gardevoirs belonging to the museum’s staff members execute the move, deserting their trainers behind to fulfill their command. The MYSTERIOUS CARGO is whisked away and shipped straight to the S.S Falls, hidden well within the confines of the protected ship.[break][break][break]

Both Rocket squads remain hidden, cloaked by the veil of the night. They gaze upon the misty attack of the Galarian Weezing from the sides, and only then do they begin to take action. [break][break][break]

One thing is certain.[break]
Much like Rocket has prepared for this occasion... So has the League.[break][break][break][break]

The Fox (Remiel Calcifet ) watched the events unfold in quick succession atop the obscured rooftop of an abandoned fishery. His contacts in the shipping industry, and those in control of the docks at nearly every Hoennian port, had warned them of the bolstered League presence. In the face of it, there wasn't much they could do. Their contacts in the League were limited, after all, and any drastic measure taken against their security could arise suspicion and compromise them.[break][break]

But Rocket had come up with another plan nonetheless.[break][break]

Dressed entirely in black clothing (a dark cloak, pants, shoes reinforced with soundless soles, and black straps fastened to his body for his minimal gear), the masked man reached up to activate his earpiece as his Dragapult reemerged from the ceiling below. The low rumble of a croak in its throat let him know the area below was free of any unwanted guests.[break][break]

"This is Fox. The starboard side of the ship appears clear. Proceeding to Point A for regroup, over." He speaks, mounting his dragon with ease thereafter. It buckles slightly under his weight, but balances itself out with its fading tail. Two Dreepy poke their heads out of its horns to greet their master. The man, however, ignores their happy smiles as he focuses ahead. "Dragon Dance, and get us in."[break][break]

With a slight kick of his heels, the Dragapult propels itself forward, using the pink mist as cover while its twirls in the air with a dull blue hue (DRAGON DANCE). Then, in an instant, the beast slips into a shadowy portal (PHANTOM FORCE) with the rider upon its back and disappears. Within the next second, the pair reappear at a predetermined location assigned by their leader on this assignment: the Underboss, Cillian Quinn.[break]

The clock strikes twelve.

If they wanted a distraction, then by hell Chu-e Choi and his squad were going to cause a distraction.

Setting up the explosion was laughably easy. You cram enough propane tanks into an abandoned building and it would light up like kindling. You look official enough and no one even wonders why you're hauling crates into the place in the first place. This shit had been set up for days ahead of time.

It's loud and messy, blowing the windows out and kicking up a lot of smoke and debris on top of the smoke from the Weezing, mixing into a pungent gas.

Thankfully, Chu-e had a mask over his nose and lower face.

Heels clicked from the shadows.

And down from the docks, heading for the ship in question like they owned the place, was a tall young woman with long blond hair and curves.

Chu-e had dressed to the nines tonight. If anyone knew who he was after this was over, he had done a damn bad job.

The most prominent part of the outfit was the massive 'UEP' badge on his chest- standing for 'Unovan Environmental Protectors'. AKA, one of the most well known Eco-Terrorist groups in Unova.

"Ladies! Get to the ship! We're not letting it pollute the ocean any longer!" His voice was high pitched compared to his normal voice, something he had been working on. It wasn't perfect, thankfully the mask muffled it a bit and covered it up.

tldr;

- Chu-e looks roughly like this girl - click - except with a mask on and black tights/undershirt
- We blew up a small warehouse near the dock to draw attention
- Dressed like an Environmentalist Terrorist group
- Go big or go home

Valerio is not the one to pass this kind of opportunity especially when his assignment involves a lot of fun. He can let Cillian Quinn's team do all the boring stuff.

The Lady in Red takes the center of the squad, an astonishing seven footer in heels with arms wrap around a velvet clothing in which cradles an unsuspecting togepi. As the clacking of their heels sing in unison, the ladies of Lilycove port saunters their way to the berth of conflict with their weapons in possession. Charm.

“You don't have to shout, Tiffy! The neighbors might hear you screaming. We don't want to disturb them, aren't we?”

Her dress dons a similar badge, a shiny piece of trinket latched on the ruffles of her blouse. With the signal of her underboss, Valerio—or Chanel, the name she chooses for this special occasion—heeds to the directives of Chu-e Choi.

The baby in the clothing moves, her hands waving at the sound of early explosions in the background. Good thing despite her brash thinking that the togepi is too smart than her trainer gives her credit for.

The first to envelop the troop is the purple veil of LIGHT SCREEN, attempting to shield them from the onslaught of the blast. The second is the purple wisps that evolve into a MYSTICAL FIRE, attempting to pass by the museum guards' line of sight, and eventually honing into the warehouse to cause even more destruction.

They will barely notice anything about her face obscured by her red hat but an alluring smile—a smirk that speaks of a threat that something wicked this way comes. For this mission requires the wildest dogs of Team Rocket to be unleashed. And Valerio is just one of them.

A dainty girl in gothic clothing took her place beside 'Chanel' (Valerio Dachev ), fingers pressed against the mask that hides her sneer. A badge that matched her cohorts rested on her shoulder, a dark red to match her striking eyes. She chuckled as she opened a ball behind her. "My, look how surprised they are. It's as if they didn't see this coming!"

Of course this beauty in black was in actually the Rocket Beast oscar clayton in disguise! In drag no less, he never thought he'd see the day. When Chu-e Choi came up with this plan, Oscar was in fact rather reluctant. He hadn't worn heels in years, and he didn't even know how to tuck! However he couldn't possibly say no, saying no to Chu-e was like shooting a Growlithe--it's just not possible. Now that he stood here, ready to take on the league once more, he couldn't have felt more fabulous. Oh if only Billi Marsh could see him now, he'd be so proud.

Oscar threw a hand toward the boat, "Don't keep them waiting darling! Show these Hoenn scum that they have to share this world with the rest of us!" A fantastic light appeared from within the smoke behind the girls, slowly rising as it let out a massive burst of magnetic energy (Magnet Rise). This same magnetic force would begin to interfere with any electronics in the area, an effect that would amplify as the large Xurkitree floated forward.

The glowing ultra beast whirred ominously, swaying its tentacles as it floated forward. Its alien anatomy shook and shivered toward the boat, its inner noise growing as its head brightened. There was a dramatic pause as it gathered power, followed by a horrific release. A green beam swept across the league's ranks, aiming not so much to hit anything in particular but cause panic and disarray (Signal Beam). The Xurkitree floated forward, its master cackling madly.

"Go on Mimi (jayden cross ), take it away!"

It's not unusual that his re-introduction to the organization would have been chosen by the likes of both Cillian Quinn and Chu-e Choi himself. They were, after all, the ones leading this mission.

[break][break] In the same way, it had not been a surprise to note that Jayden was to be picked for the job. Despite being introduced to new Rocket relatively recently, there were some things you earned from a lifetime of torture under Dmitri's rule. Jayden was eager and excited to partake in a mission that would earn him back his metaphorical wings, and was dedicated to do whatever he had to do to prove his loyalty.

[break][break] Underneath the cover of night, a fabulous quintet appeared, of which a blond was apart. Mimi appeared in a set of heels and a tight skin-fitting cat suit (something that had been handed to him by a certain rock-licking leader), as well as appropriate cat ears, eyemask and a scarf to cover his face as the fog of silver smoke and debris faded away.

[break][break] Chanel's words brought something like a fabricate smile to the corners of his lips, as he pulled his scarf down to flash the other a well-practiced smile. "Thank you for the introduction," he said - and then with an after-thought, gave a giggle. "Like, it's kind of sad. They don't even stand a chance."

[break][break] Jayden stepped forward and pointing towards the aforementioned boat. His Eelektross zoomed forward from within the spoke, appearing in a flourish. Aurelus released his maw as a FLAMETHROWER erupted forth, joining that of Valerio Dachev 's former Mystical Fire.

[break][break] With that, the boy turns on his heel to the last member of their squad. "Britney, now you!"

Under cover of darkness, Gavin waits. Soft breaths filter audibly through the gas mask that conceals his identity, though the visage beneath bears no resemblance to 'Gavin Merlino' or, indeed, 'Patrick Cavalli'. They are expecting to deal with League, tonight.

At least, Chu-e Choi and his squad are. Should things go smoothly, the infiltration crew won't see them at all.

Gavin looks at his mechanical watch, smiles beneath the mask as the clock strikes twelve. Remiel Calcifet's voice sounds through his earpiece, confirming the status of the ship's starboard side: clear. Excellent.

"Going in," chirps the Crow, "Over."

With a curt nod to Alek Xanders and Lulu Flint, he places a hand on his Claydol's bulky frame and waits for Emma Wolfe to do the same. Psychic energy swirls around the dual-type, IMPRISONING its knowledge against potential foes. Once both humans have oriented themselves, it TELEPORTS to the designated meeting point. Gavin steps away from the Pokémon's eerily rotating form and offers Remiel Calcifet a curt nod.

It is the final curtain call, the clock strikes midnight. There is unrest in their band of baddies, clad in dark clothing; inconspicuous in their masks and blank expressions. [break][break]

Her mask is specifically fashioned to resemble the wolf that is her namesake, her breathing husky and foreboding in its intensity. It doubles as a gas mask, filtering any toxins they might run into. The same band of Galarian Weezing she had seen used when framing the young Adrian Malcolm were apparently being put to the test yet again in covering their infiltration.[break][break]

The plan was already being executed seamlessly.[break][break]

Her hand reaches for Cillian Quinn's Claydol, her gesture distinct as it is pressed to the dual-types skin. The headset beeps and Fox's message is received. Gavin answers for them all, and Emma doesn't spare neither Lulu Flint nor Alek Xanders a second glance before the two of them plunge into brief darkness, reappearing on the other side of the Claydol's TELEPORT.[break][break]

When she reappears, her hand is removed from the Claydol's back to reach instead for her two pokeballs.[break][break]

Warmth pants at the back of her hand and her fingers twitch to allow the Zoroark to brush his nose against her fingertips. Whiskers scratch at gloved hands, tickling through the fabric. She pulls her hand just as quickly, a silent signal to begin.[break][break]

The woman's Porygon-Z hovers nearby, silent and attentive, waiting for orders.[break][break]

And, like the Claydol, Zoroark wastes no time in performing the same tactic. An invisible barrier extends from both Pokemon as their IMPRISONS lock up the field. In the same breath, it appears that the moment the Zoroark was released, a blanketed ILLUSION prevents their entry from being seen. They appear to blend in both with the gaseous wall of pink, as well as the night sky.[break][break]

Emma glances briefly to Remiel Calcifet, mirroring Gavin's nod to the fellow admin.[break][break]

"Porygon, see if you can find our hidden treasure."[break][break]

The digital Pokemon spins its oval-shaped body parts around, shifting shapes rapidly as it scans forward, attempting to LOCK ON to something- anything on their way inside.[break][break]

What in the actual fuck was Chu-e Choi thinking. DRAG? REALLY? Bryan tried to voice his displeasure with it, but the rest of the squad seemed so gungho about it that his meager voice crashed against a raging tide that forced him into doing it. At least they knew what they were doing cause Bryan sure as hell had no idea how to wear drag..He didn't know if Billi Marsh would he horrified or proud. [break][break]

Bryan heard the explosions happening and the other teammates run out and pretend to start being a part of an environmentalist group that was going to take the boat hostage. He heard his recruiter call out to him, in a funhouse mirror version of his name. A visible vein pulsed on his head as his blood pressure rose slightly he turned to jayden cross and responded in a really horrid girl voice cause his was too very deep. "FUCK OFF MIMI" he sounded like a horrid smoker in their 40's...ignoring the fact he actually smoked. [break][break]

He then looked at Audino and mimicked the hand sign for helping hand which was just two flat palms and Audino cheered on her allies in support while claping her hands together to signify she was using helping hand. He looked around the area to ensure they wouldn't be surprised attack from some angle they werent watching, ready to use grimmsnarl.

As the midnight bell took its toll, the shadows came swooping in. The stork, as his colleagues refered to him, wore a much darker beaked mask than usual paired with tinted goggles to completely cover his features. He wore an all black attire much like those before him, blending in with the dark of the night.

He could already hear the other squad and the ruckus they were making, see the mist the band of Galarian weezings were exhaling; most evidently, the plan was in action.

RAID: CALL OF THE SIREN

Pink gas blossomed into the night sky, reminiscent of a certain avatar’s smoky breath. Lulu watched it through the seamless, nondescript visor of her mask, breathing deeply. ^{BEEP BEEP.}

The sweet octave that chimed in her ear was proceeded by a grand flash of light and a sharp explosion happening on the other side of the ship. Chu-e Choi ’s fireworks reflected across the material that encapsulated her head, and the sound of a drag show for the ages ensuing in the distance marked their cue.

Bodies flashed away, three at a time, and reappeared somewhere on the ship to begin their search.

She looked around, removing a hand from the other scientist’s pokemon and releasing one of her own from within a pocket. “CRAFTY SHIELD.” She said it lowly, seemingly to herself. An iridescent fairy energy passed around all of them, creating a wall against all status moves. _➤

the manectric beside kyle barks incessantly. he had conditioned it to at least shut up at the sight of friendlies, repressing its aggressive nature to anyone but those that do not fit the description. it ended up not being needed as those targeting the cargo revealed their intentions from the get-go.

"dispatch whoever you get. secure the cargo when you get an opening," he tells everyone over a radio before dropping his transmission in favor of getting a pokemon out.

kyle rushes in without a signal, throwing a pokeball containing his smeargle out as soon as he gets into the range of where the source of attacks come from. "dark void," he whispers.

as darkness spreads from the tip of the smeargle's tail towards the instigators crawling underneath the strange steam, the manectric steps forward, throat growling as if ready to take action.

out of the pokemon out, the ultra beast that had appeared before by the cycling road stands out the most. his attention goes to the one that might potentially have a move that stops his smeargle's move, however. ouf of the two, kyle points towards the togepi. "roar," he orders his manectric.

a loud, terrifying roar echoes from the darkness of the night, aiming to strike fear to its target.

the other one remains out. "snipe the audino if you can," he asks his team from his communicator.

He worked so hard to keep a low profile, the events in Mossdeep were still talked amongst the rangers there and they still deemed him as suspicious. Guess the whole league recognition from the war, and helping save the head ranger’s life a few months back was still enough to be considered for this. All he could hope for was for nothing but happen, and just listen to the waves of the sea. [break][break]

But then it got loud.[break][break]

Tonight wasn’t going to be with peace and teamed up with Kyle Razz was quick to follow along to the ruckus that was caused. At the sight of the fire the young ranger wanted to freeze up, the flames already putting him at unease as old memories still haunted him. But PTSD was going to have to wait, especially at the added site of a god damn Ultra Beast. Razz used his phone to quickly change a few things as if this xurkitree was anything like the one back in mauville. Well… he rather not think of that for now Razz brings out this corrupted Rotom. “Alright Currant show me your special!” The ranger orders as the black rotom just laughs wickedly as it seemed excited for the destruction all around. Skyler knows these docks like she knows the back of her hand.

Perhaps that was the reason why she'd been asked to be part of a very select team assembled to defend this mysterious cargo. Whatever the case may be, when fire starts to lick at a familiar warehouse, Captain Dross knows that this won't be a quiet night listening to the gently lapping ocean waves. It sends a spark of adrenaline through her veins, communications crackling to life as the familiar voice of kyle lopez reaches her ears. "Gotcha, boss." There's a hint of playfulness to her voice, though her expression is anything but.

The smoke that hovers close to the ship doesn't escape her attention, wispy plumes of pink coming far too close for comfort. In a matter of seconds, a strange sheen pulses from somewhere within the ship (SAFEGUARD), stretching itself to accomodate as much of it as it possibly can. Captain Dross nods and pats the Lapras by her side, eyes moving to what she supposes must be an Ultra Beast. If anything, that tells her that whoever is causing this mayhem is more dangerous than whatever theatrics they've chosen to enact.

Familiar dark electricity catches her attention, along with Razz Kingsman 's commands. When a Signal Beam pierces through the night, Skyler steps forward, silently gesturing to the Gallade at her side. Immediately, a second nearly transparent sheen rises up to meet the first, the WIDE GUARD settling over the area while mayhem takes over the dockside.

She's talked to the captain and the crew - made sure they would be ready to leave when if/when needed.

For now, Skyler watches and stands her ground.

He'd slept all day in preparation of this assignment. Forced himself to eat to keep his energy up and even showered before the job rather than after to "wake his body up".

He meditated, he made dinner for Cait, he chose three pokémon that would offer the best versatility in the field. League orders only permitting them to three was a huge mistake, but he decided to play the cards that had been dealt to him.

His stockpile of Tutor Discs took a bit of a hit in anticipation of this job. Unlike most of his Ranger assignments the air of this one was much higher profile.

The fact that he was assigned to a team of four elites was proof of that. kyle lopez being one of those four was even further proof.

Having a history with Razz Kingsman and remembering skyler dross from the Lilycove Warfront, Kyle was the only one of the team Sénon had yet to see in action. Meaning; Kyle was the only unproven entity on their squad. This was ironic considering Kyle's reputation was seemingly equal to the three of theirs combined.

Recently reappointed as the League's Champion he was someone Sénon didn't have to second-guess, so when he launched his attack on the would-be terrorists, Sénon gave his support.

From behind cover he ordered two of his own in target of the same pokémon (Togepi) Kyle targeted. "both of you; use ROUND!"

In a focused duet the Haunter and the Healer matched voices sending a sonic wave at their quarry, stronger than the sum of its parts.
