AS HOENN BEGINS TO WARM CONSIDERABLY, a swarm of Bellossom rush onto the beach of Lilycove City. They perform dances, swirling their springtime skirts across the sands. Occasionally, a Gloom joins; however, the stench is much worse than one may expect. Apparently, a Bellossom's petals grow to be more beautiful the worse its smell was a Gloom.[break][break]

in order to qualify for the capture, you must ROLL using the ROLL COMMAND. after, INCLUDE A REFERENCE TO "HULA DANCING" somewhere in your post. you may use an image, gif, use an analogy, figurative language, etc.
the highest roll will earn a shiny bellossom; the second highest roll will earn a regular bellossom, the second lowest roll will earn a gloom, and the lowest roll will net a shiny oddish. the gender of the pokemon can be decided by the recipient.
the attempted capture will not consume a pokéball.
the bellossom/gloom/oddish have movesets that will be revealed at the end of the event.
this is a time-limited event and will end may 24th, 12am pst.

[attr="class","bryanbody"]Bryan was just having a nice day on the beach until some bellossoms just came and swarmed all over him. It was a common spot for fairy and water types Pokémon so he was surprised to see the little buggers swarming the beach, he moved his shades up and looked around. May was well take advantage of the HULA dancers dancing together and throw a pokeball to see if he could nab one. Damn he felt like hula dancing now, it looked like fun.

Who would have thought a swarm of hula-dancing flower Pokemon would have smelled so fucking terrible. Rowan hadn’t been around a Gloom before, but the occasional appearance of one was enough to determine where the stench of fetid corpse came from. “Alright, let's get this over with.”

With one hand covering his nose, and the other clutching a Pokeball, Rowan tossed his lot into the swarm with the hopes of catching ones of this incredibly smelly bastards.

The beach was too fucking hot. Everything was too fucking hot. This was miserable.

At least Chu-e knew he wouldn't get sand in his asshole like Leon Vercetti would.

The promise of the Bellosom, or at least another chance at greatness, was too tempting to pass us. Even if every step Chu-e was about to melt but damnit he was going to toss his pokeball!

Which he did, right into the group of little dancers, probably ruining the show. Oh well, wasn't his problem and he wanted a cute weed all to himself.

The smell of eggshells and brimstone hits his nose, and he nearly loses control of the car as he fights against the gagging sensation, veering off to the side of the road and rolling up his windows in vain. It was dreadful!

Snatching out a spare pokeball Adrian exits his vehicle, figuring he's gonna be stuck behind 'em the whole way over, so he might as well tackle the issue head on.

A loud sneeze preludes Skyler's arrival. Eyes watering due to the ridiculous amount of pollen flying about in the breeze, Captain Dross finds herself gritting her teeth at the plants hula dancing on the beach.

Invading her domain.

A small group of trainers lounges about, no doubt in an attempt to capture some of the dancing Bellossom for themselves. Skyler bypasses all of them uncaringly, striding with wide, purposeful steps to the crashing waves.

Her shirt hits the wet sand, revealing the scarred curve of her spine. It is quickly joined by her shorts and boots, all haphazardly thrown onto the sandy beach just before the captain wades into the waters, diving with fluid gracefulness and disappearing beneath the waves.

Relief isn't immediate, but as Skyler resurfaces and lounges in the water the itch starts to fade. Fingertips rise to massage her shoulder, silver eyes shifting to the familiar coastline. Maybe if she waited long enough the Bellossom would go away on their own?

She doesn't even notice the ones who gather around her clothes, curious.

[attr="class","postcontent"] Bellatrix was delighted, overjoyed even! The only way she could express this was joining in on the Bellossom's dance. Her hips moved with the flow of the water and her arms and hands imitated the motions of waves. It didn't bother her or embarrass the young lady because she wasn't the only one moving in the motions of the Bellossom hula dance. The only thing that ruined the vibe was the toxic smell those Gloom brought to the party. Bella plucked a pokeball from her bag to attempt to capture a beautiful Bellossom.

Robbin had taken a seat by a tree and enjoyed the wild spree of pokemon. She was fine with the smell and was more amused by the hula dancing bellossom.

Evolution was weird, and these things evolved two different ways! She was only really interested in them if one of them were to be here own though.

Robbin threw a spare ball into the crowd hoping to score something good.

Spending some nice quiet time to himself for a while, Tadashi walked along a beachside path with Cassio beside him, enjoying the crispness in the air and the sounds of the ocean waves in the near distance. While he couldn’t very well see the festivities going on down the way along the sand, he could hear the music drifting along the air for hula dancing he was certain, it seemed to be that kind of vibe. He smiled to himself, how funny it would be to try his hand at a bit of dancing, but he digressed. Maybe later, but he did keep walking, nodding his head along to the music as he went.

I'm addicted to the panic

Amor had found the swarm thanks to an app on his Holowatch, people posted sightings of large groups of Pokemon on it, and he was able to track them more efficiently. It was a handy little device, and he was thankful for investing in it so long ago. Landing on the ground he saw them all dancing in sync, it was an interesting sight, or so he would have thought had he not had to cover his nose with the handkerchief that he kept in his breast pocket. The smell of the nearby Gloom was to much for him, and as much as he wanted to enjoy the festive Hula Dancing of the Bellossom, he had to get out of here quick. So without much further thought he tossed one of his spare pokeballs into the mass of them in the hopes that he would be able to capture one. There was no need to battle them all at once.

The sudden influx of dancing bellossoms on the beach was not something Tamaki had been expecting when he peered down from his inn room's balcony. It takes him aback for a moment before he lets out a joyous chuckle that is mirrored near his foot by his own Bellossom, Kireihana, who looks up at him happily while doing her best impression of the strange hula dance ritual that the grass-types below are engaged in.

Smiling, he picks up Kireihana and takes her outside, watching her hula her way to the rest of her species before releasing his Vileplume to join in on the fun as well. Tamaki sits down in the sand and sketches the scene.[/div]

So today, Alexei was out near the beaches of Lilycove.

How did he find himself here?

He’d come from another shopping run at the Lilycove Department store and had sent all the requested items ahead back to Fortree, and he’d heard that there was a literal trove of dancing Pokémon hanging around the area.

What with summer temperatures picking up, he was pretty sure it was going to get hotter than the circles of Hell that existed—thank fuck Fortree wasn’t all exposed to the fury of the sun as other cities around the region were.

He caught sight of several Pokémon dancing by the waters—were they doing the inevitable summer dance?

Oh dear.
