Cap cursed the expense of Moon Stones. If Nemesis or Narcissus had evolved already he'd have a much easier time dealing with the rampant electricity. As it was, at least Juno's Volt Absorb kept her from being bothered and Paris' Lightning Rod ensured that Cap wasn't the one hit by any stray jolts. Which was lucky for him because the electricity was flying everywhere. He'd been smart enough to bring along earplugs but, as the trio wandered through the trashed Power Plant, the thundering boom of the Electivire was enough that he could feel it rumbling in his chest as if a Raikou had been trapped beneath his ribs.[break][break]

It would all be worth it, he told himself. Certainly, if he managed to walk away with one of these Electric Pokemon it'd be worth a pretty penny. And Cap wasn't above swiping some exposed copper wire in the midst of the commotion if he got the chance. What was a little wiring between friends? He was doing a service chasing away these destructive Pokemon, and he deserved to be paid for his efforts.[break][break]

Once again her duties as a gym leader called her to lend a hand to Hoenn, she had been busy with handling things in Sootopolis but things had finally started to slow down. Now she could work more in other areas and it was MUCH more enjoyable compared to the rocket supporters who kept trying to get in the way. [break][break]

She sent out her palossand and gastrodon, Pokémon who had ground typing to in the battle against the electric types. She looked towards the sky as she saw some stray lightning bolts were flying around in the air, it kind of looked like a TIGER. She didn't think much of it as she then dashed in with her Pokémon and began to make quick work of the electivires and attempted to capture one.

Electivire. They were not poisonous by themselves, but she always found having more of them at the lab useful for electrolysis. Plus they were nice emergency reactors. Most electric types would be useful for such an endeavour too, of course. But she did not exactly have a Raikou lying around or anything. Yet, due to passing by the commotion caused by this swarm, Shizue was considering trying to snatch one of them. That was the, um, Rocket thing to do, she figured. Grab a Pokemon when no one was looking and use it for one’s own ends.

That was what she usually did, after all. And if nothing else, she could always go ahead and give it to Rocket. Someone would make use of one. As such, little risk, little effort, and moderate reward. She liked those. And even though the chance to catch one was probably akin to like, two in a hundred, it cost her nothing to hang around a little longer and covertly toss a ball. Couldn’t really lose much here, after all.

The last few times Mars had visited New Mauville he had been searching for Steel type pokémon thanks to a requisition from Team Rocket (and the only few times, at that, because what other reason would he have to go to a power plant?). Back then, most electric types that had crossed his path had been no more than a nuisance, and apparently that hasn’t changed much.

Mauville resident as he is, the mess they make isn’t welcome.

Keenan was reading up on the legends of the Beasts of Johto...including the Pokemon Raikou. A legend native to his home region. It was a boring day, trying to find an open gym spot to squeeze into. And so far, no luck. Then he heard on the news about an Electivire swarm. His only electric type was his Vikavolt. So it would be good to have another one. And since he was somewhat close, or at least close enough to use his Onix to travel, he left to go capture one. That was the hope at least...who knows how lucky one can be on these swarms.

A little sniff if disapproval sounds from the Vulpix before he turns to the task at hand, the command of "Use Captivate!" causing the small fox to tip his head back. An enchanting lull of notes spills from the Vulpix's maw, resulting in a few of the nearby Electrivire to hesitate in the strength of their attacks.

There were plenty of people congregating at new Mauville, he wondered why that was so—

Was there rumor of a legendary Pokémon appearing at the place? So close to bloody civilization? Thing is, legendary Pokémon normally didn’t like appearing so close to where so many people lived, so this was most likely a rumor blown extremely out of proportion—

Why, it was like a Raikou had been sighted!

Unfortunately for Adam (and everyone else who’d come running to the place), it was a swarm of Electivire instead.

But admittedly, he didn’t have a sturdy Electric-type, so he was definitely in the market for one of these! Watching, he waited until there weren’t so many people were around, before taking aim and lobbing an empty Pokéball at the nearest one he spotted.

While every kind of Pokémon held a piece of her interest, Yvette had her preferences like anybody else. And Electivire very much matched those preferences.

And cool-looking.

She tossed a Pokéball up in the air, releasing her own big, tough, and cool Krookodile to face off against their tiger-striped opponent, eager to add it to her growing collection.

Despite his departure from the League, he still had those informing him of emergencies. One of those was a gathering of Electivire, and their underlings, at New Mauville. With the eye of the tiger, Thomas locked in on the baddest Electivire he could find. He tossed a Pokeball into the crowd, hoping he could get one of the Electric-types out of this.

The more firepower he had, the merrier.

Called to help with the Electivire problem over in New Mauville's Power Plant, Derek couldn't help but walk through the door with a wily grin on his face...

Having acquired a fair deal of lab pokemon, the young ranger was beginning to consider giving scientific research a try. It seemed to be a large trend in Hoenn as of late. The only problem was that he didn't have the means to power a lab, and he certainly couldn't afford it. Not with a ranger's salary, anyway.

But with any luck, he was about to catch all the electric power he could ever need. Singling one out that seemed to be distracted, Derek lobbed a pokeball it's way and...

It was a slow, tedious Saturday afternoon. Somehow, Barnaby had caught wind of the fact that the Power Plant workers needed help suppressing a swarm of ELECTIVIRE. He was home alone, bored, and not feeling exactly inspired to do actual work.

So why not run down to New Mauville real quick and maybe snag a shiny Pokémon in the process?

Entering the plant, he saw that a few others had the same idea as him. ELECTIVIRE and their pre-evos were running amok, looking like a pack of ferocious yellow-striped tigers. Releasing Henrí, his MAMOSWINE, from his Poké Ball, Barnaby got to work.

Trekking his way on into New Mauvile Power Plant, Dovac would find himself pausing some short time after. But, why? Unleashing his newly caught Elekid from outside, a straggler or a lone wanderer from the hectic pack within surely. This would be his companion for the battle to come. Ah, the Elekid. The Electabuzz, and the Electivire. In their natural habitat, they made such soothing, elegant noises to commune amongst one another in their herds. Sounds like…

So majestic.

Except this wasn’t their natural habitat. In fact, as the Ranger sent out his Incineroar to deal with the coming hoards, this was the worst place they could possibly be. Which meant that he had been sent for cleanup duty. With a bunch of trainers trying to catch the things though, hopefully this wouldn’t take too long.
