THE AFTERMATH OF NECROZMA'S SOOTOPOLIS ATTACK has weakened Hoenn considerably. Flora across the region has withered away. In particular, MATIAS SILPH and Eris Halla would notice the death of plants in the leyline(s) that point toward Sootopolis.[break][break]

Latecomers to the airborne Shaymin garden would see it now as a wiry graveyard. The Crystablooms, once almost invasive in number, are now few and far between, glowing like diamonds in rare recesses. In the vacuum of stolen life, an oppressive air hangs. However, rumors of doppelgangers or the uncanny sightings of people long dead have begun slithering through Hoenn.[break][break]

Furthermore, an impenetrable barrier seems to have been erected all around Hoenn's borders. Nothing is able to shatter it, as if space itself has hardened into a convenient hoop for the INCOMING METEOROID to plunge perfectly into.[break][break]

Curiously, riddles have been strewn about the region. Darkness. Map. And now, in MID-JULY, the latest answer brings you to the sea, where a mirage island has been rumored to be. There, you are surrounded by swirling whirlpools and the eerie appearance of the late Champion, Bailey Cooper who asks you all to come back on the CORRECT DAY...[break][break]

The riddles have been orchestrated by a mysterious man behind the scenes. Through him, the motivations of the DRK TRIAD—a shadow organization of Unown-bonded assassins—will be revealed. In the process, the bigger picture will be uncovered... whether Hoenn likes it or not.[break][break]

With these answers come more questions. With more knowledge comes more dilemmas. Eventually, choices must be made. Is this region worth saving, when the chessboard has been flipped?[break][break][break][break]

OOC EXPLANATION

THIS EVENT INVOLVES YOUR CHARACTERS BEING TRAPPED IN A CONFINED SPACE OF SOME KIND. Riddles, puzzles, physical threats and more will attempt to prevent your escape. However, the biggest obstacle may be the particular properties of the domain itself...[break][break]

Although this event is a DEATH-ENABLED event, death is highly unlikely within this scenario. However, the IC-stakes of the event will place the characters in certain peril. Failure to escape ICly will surely result in their "deaths."[break][break]

Unfortunately, this is not a ROCKET VS LEAGUE faction-based event (subject to change). Such an event will come later this year.[break][break]

The event is currently being written. The start date will be scheduled for July and will coincide with the new event cycle.
