THE ONSET OF A TAN starts to surface from copious amounts of exposure. like a heat lamp, the sun starts to cook fernando’s pale skin into something more fitting. it’s almost enough to blend in with everyone else on the beach.

Razz spits out the water as he ends up falling in. The ranger just staring at both Salem and the Mantine with a deadpan face. Being a rental the Mantine can't read the ranger as well as his partner. So to cool the mood Salem just blows a raspberry at his trainer obvioulsy amused by the wipe out than anything else and it gets Razz to give a little heh. [break][break]

It calms the kite pokemon enough to dive under water to put Razz back on his back, excited to try again. At least this time he had a better grip. "Why not, lets try that again?"

Atticus was used to the beach, to the head-turns that he always caused, due to his natural and almost perfect physique that he had worked real hard to keep and upkeep. Most of the time he had been to a beach had been for shoots, though not exactly for fun so this was a pretty new feeling, heck! Lat time he went to a beach was to help and capture beach Wailords.[break][break]

Looking around for things to do he would watch people go Mantine Surfing, it looked simple and easy enough to pick, assuming the pokemon itself were trained for it. He would decide to take his own turn at it. Taking to the waters of his partner Atticus would try his best to survive at least for today. Going up high him and the pokemon would make turns and spins, a flip here and there. As fabulous as he was he would definitely try the best trick in the book, the MAGIKARP SPLASH. [break][break]

Okay, maybe Mantine surfing was a lot harder than Marshall thought. That thought did not deter him from riding back out to the open water on its back, relishing the way the wind felt on that hot summer day. Reaching up, he tied his hair back in a small ponytail, then patted the Mantine's smooth skin.

"We're going to keep attempting this MAGIKARP SPLASH until we get it right, buddy," he told the Pokémon. "Now let's go and show 'em what we're made of!"

Many are starting to get a hang of it, landing awesome tricks and even a couple Magikarp Splashes have taken place. Refusing to give up on netting a high score, Derek sets out, this time without Jonesy's help. Spotting a large wave rolling in, the Mantine is guided right towards it, where the gym leader does his best to stay in control while attempting the MAGIKARP SPLASH!

So close. Yet a Primarina Twist consisted of two front flips and a backflip, not one of each. And there weren't any points for partial effort. Emboldened by several other successes, the Ditto posing as Hideo decided to go for something more adventurous this time, a full-on Magikarp Splash.

Hideo could only watch through his Beheeyem's translation of the events as the two went through their own respective chocolate ice creams. Hideo didn't question how his Beheeyem ate those.

So the wipeout from last time was… bad, to say the least.

This time, however?

There was nothing going to get in the way of him attempting the same trick again! He was going to get it done, no matter what it took!

(Even if it meant embarrassing himself over and over in front of everyone who came by to take a spin on the back of a Mantine.)
