Hideo didn't even know Mantines could be that small. Heck, he even needed his Beheeyem to confirm that he didn't just catch a small Mantyke. Too small to ride, though it could still be helpful if he needed to go in the water for whatever reason.

Perhaps it could keep his extra-small Ribombee company.

Well, just because his first catch was extra small, didn't mean all the Pokemon he caught here would be small. He cast out the line again as the extra-small Mantine sat beside him, eagerly watching to see what he'd catch next.

Gentlemen certainly did not get wet and sweaty by rolling with very large fish. Gentlemen let their Gardevoirs do most of the work, guiding the catch in with telekinesis.

One benefit of Shalin's secret treasure spot is her new secret fishing spot was nearby; she could drop her pole off there while she dove for treasure, then surface and cast her line nearby. She had caught a good Pokémon there yesterday. Perhaps an even better one would find her line today!
