I like working on engines. That and customizing vehicles. Wrapping stuff is so fun. They're important to me... I dunno. They're like little puzzles. Little customizable worlds. It's so satisfying when they work out and to see the finished project.

Being funny. It's, like, 75% of the reason why I started dating my boyfriend: because he's hilarious. He's also just... genuinely a good person. Which is asking a lot of people, sometimes.

Now that the HVAC system works and I can air condition it, I really like my Petalburg garage. The flower shop is really nice, too. And the bakery below where I live... the key point is they're all temperature controlled.

Oh, god, okay, so, I don't hate Pokemon, but, like, mine reeeeaaaaallllly test my patience sometimes. Like, Muirne likes to scare me so sometimes I'll open my shower in the morning and bam! Cofagrigus. Or, like, Twilight keeps finding hangers on to adopt. Sima literally destroys everything. Grog doesn't have a brain, Mayumi puts everything in her mouth... it's a full-time job. I own Pokemon because... I don't know, that's what you do to have any sort of power in the world, right?

Mostly I dream of... of a place where someone important to me doesn't feel like they have to make sacrifices to be safe. Imagination is great and all but the only thing that matters is what you can do with your own two hands to make it happen.

I like to take walks in nature. I'm reminded of my childhood, when times were simpler, and I spent a lot more of it with family.

My coworkers all say I am a Rock-type because of how serious I am. I think I would prefer to be a Fire-type.

Actually, I lose my temper pretty easily. A lot of little things irritate me, especially when things aren't done the right way. But there's also a lot of injustice and wrongdoing in this world. It frustrates me to no end.

I used to be very fond of lilac, but that scent only brings bad memories now.

I don't remember my dreams often; I suppose you can say I sleep easily at night. Of course, we all dream, and I even have nightmares occasionally. But... I don't really daydream. I do enjoy a good book, though, and some of the pictures that authors paint with their words can be very vivid in my mind.

Shopping, obviously. Reading fashion magazines. I love browsing runway looks online. Fashion is just so important. People think it's vain to be interested in clothes, but one thing no one likes to admit is they'll judge the shit out of you depending on what you wear. First impressions are everything. If you look like a slob, you're probably a slob in another area of your life. And if that hurts your feelings, that's your problem, not mine.

I really enjoy the way the chrysanthemums in my family's courtyard smelled. It reminds me of being a kid again. But nothing beats my favorite perfume: amber, a hint of warm musk, saffron, myrrh, with some almond and cardamom in there too. And lotus.

The trick with perfume is that a woman shouldn't switch between different kinds. Pick one and wear it forever. It will remind people of you, like a statement.

I used to play piano, suppose I should get back into that. Reading is supposed to be enjoyable, so I guess I'd like that too. I'm a little invested in my work right now since everything I knew went up in flames.

I suppose I find intelligence attractive. Not so much book smarts, but something mmmm... craftier. Like they got a little bit of the devil in their eyes and constantly keep me guessing. Perks if they can make a perfect cup of tea. The biggest turn on for me is when they never touch me or ask for emotional support, but that's usually a deal breaker.

There was this spot in Kanto, tucked behind trees in a remote park outside of Fuchsia City. It felt like time would stop there, I could forget about everything else. I've lost plenty of people and Pokémon. The world is a harsh place. Death is a natural part of it, but for many, it comes too soon. Hell, there are plenty who deserve to be alive right now, but instead, I'm the one who survived. Bullshit, really. Anyway, I don't know if I'm the best person to give you any advice about grief. It's not something you ever really heal from, I can tell you that much.

I still keep up with my martial arts training. I like staying in shape. Used to train with my brother back in the day. I guess I also like to swim. I've always been a fan of the ocean. Lyra and I often patrol Slateport's coast for fun, it's not a work thing. We just like riding the waves together, you know? It's relaxing.

i feel if someone i loved died i would be... lost. for how long, i'm not sure. if it were a pokémon i would be less distraught; there are very few that i have an emotional attachment to.

ooohh, this one is hard. i find a lot of things attractive depending on my mood. sometimes i like to be challenged. i appreciate tenacity, confidence, intelligence. other times it's fun to fluster quieter personalities. shyness and sincerity can be endearing, but i often find myself getting bored after awhile.

lately i've quite enjoyed stepping back and being with a more dominant personality. there's a sort of euphoric relief that comes with letting go.

imagination is a double-edged sword in that way. it can breed hope and inspire people to action, but is easy to get lost in.

In my short return to Hoenn, I've accomplished so many things I set out to do. The only other big goal I have during my stay in Hoenn is to meet and befriend [REDACTED]. I could die happy and not regret a thing with [REDACTED] at my side.

When not in my racing suit, I like purples, yellows, and light blues that are loose-fitting. Makes me easy to find at Mauville Round One - it can be a mess in there!

As part of my duties as a Gym Leader, I would be required to be on the front lines, repelling them from Mauville, Slateport, or wherever they go in Hoenn. If the League would let me raise one, I'd love to have a Naganadel. I got to fly on one once. It was short but I had a lot of fun!

When I was young, I lost four relatives in the course of six months, and became more tired of it than truly mournful. Then there was the day I nearly lost my Manectric, the very first Pokémon I got when I was ten. I...I'd rather not talk about it any more.

It used to be a career, but since then it's technically a hobby now, I love Pokémon racing. Anyone who's been to Mauville City Gym in the last couple months knows how passionate I am about it.

Empathy and honesty are two of the most important traits any friend can have. Being honest and forthcoming is important. Someone who understands what it is you're going through and that can be there for you, even if not always in person, is one of the biggest emotional supports imaginable.

Electric, bar none. I've been told by many people I have the wits and personality of an Electric-type Pokémon: quick to act, acting first and asking questions later, short circuiting under extreme pressure, you name it. Did you know that out of all fully evolved Pokémon, Electric-types are on average the fastest?

A close friend's betrayal. I'd rather not think about it any more.

The scent of Alto Maren cuisine makes my mouth water, every time. I have to be careful how often I go out, since it's not exactly the healthiest of food, but oh is it a good treat once every couple months or so.

Pokémon are not tools, pets, or mere companions. They are partners, united under a common goal. No matter how lofty your goal, with a team of Pokémon you know, love, and trust at your side, anything is possible. Even a meeting with [REDACTED] is possible. I just know it. Somehow.

The most vivid dream I remember having was this terrible nightmare where my Pyroar, one of my closest Pokémon, died from a brutal attack by [REDACTED].

SURVEY #1

"What's on your bucket list? Why? If you died right now, would you regret anything?"

Albeit a bit bleak to say out loud to most people, I've lived a full life so dying isn't so bad. On the bright side, I'd have nothing to regret. Everything had a purpose, good or bad. As for what I'd want to do: maybe explore Kanto as it is now. That region holds many memories so revisiting them while accepting the new Kanto would bring some kind of new clarity to questions I sought before.

"What's your favorite article of clothing or accessory, or what do you wear the most often?"

A good shoe never goes out of style.

"If the Ultra Beasts invade Hoenn again, what would you do, or which Ultra Beast is your favorite and why?"

Guzzlord holds a special place in my heart, simply due to the semi-ridiculous way it looks. Buzzwole is a close second.

I prefer enclosed spaces. If claustrophobia is common, perhaps I suffer from a rarer case of liking tight spaces where I can only fit myself into and enjoy alone.
