THE BORDER IS A MOUNTAINOUS PURGATORY OF MUTED SEPIA SMOKE. By floating islands, translucent bridges soar through the realm toward the heavens. Tall stone spires jut out from the spiritual mist. In the sky, the wisps of spirits can be seen heading toward their final destination before the afterlife...[break][break]

Curiously, there are four broken seals embedded in four mountains. Though Adrian Malcolm and YVELTAL may have seen their location upon their unceremonious entry, the spirit realm has shifted since their last visit, rendering each broken seal far apart from each other.

🗺️ SPECIAL HUNT: your character(s) will now be able to encounter and catch a MARSHADOW. you must be able to defeat or prove to the marshadow that you are worthy of training them, but this will be no easy task. they quickly learn you and your pokemon's movements, able to mimic their movements by analyzing or hiding in their shadows.[break][break]

Instead of a MARSHADOW, you may encounter and catch a PHEROMOSA OR BUZZWOLE that has managed to displace itself here. Whether it is here from Hoenn or another location in ULTRA SPACE is unknown.[break][break]

05 help the spirit of a person or pokemon pass on.

06 engage in battle with a malevolent spirits.

07 offer coins to the gimmighoul ferryman to take a ride across a river.

PROMPTS EXCLUSIVE TO THE 2ND EXPEDITION & ONWARD

17 begin building a base camp/settlement of some kind.

18 lose your shadow, or encounter your shadow moving independently of you.

19 involve a waterfall in some way (e.g. training, obstacle).

20 attempt to spend the "night", surviving the elements or any threats.

21 encounter soulmarchers, marching parades of warrior spirits (pokemon or human) with feet that do not grace the ground.

22 cultivate a farm or garden to grow plants for resources or the deterrent of threats.

23 use the ability 'cursed body', 'rattled' or 'scrappy' in some way.

24 become trapped by the use of 'shadow tag' or 'mean look'.

25 experience a supernaturally-induced descent into extreme fear, sorrow, or paranoia.

26 encounter/engage with a gargantuan golurk with a bloody spiked shield on its back. when it finds lost spirits, it grabs them to impale on its spike, cleaning the border of stubborn souls.

PROMPTS EXCLUSIVE TO THE 3RD EXPEDITION & ONWARD

27 briefly detach from your body or bodies in order to accomplish a task using your spirit body or bodies.

28 encounter one of the vestigial spirits of wo-chien, ting-lu, chi-yu, or chien-pao near a broken seal. it will not use its signature move, ruination, however, it will be incredibly aggressive before being warded off.

29 encounter shadowy copies of yourselves or your pokemon that mimic movement, form, and more.

30 feel a throbbing temptation to pass through the border to the afterlife.

PROMPTS EXCLUSIVE TO THE 4TH EXPEDITION & ONWARD

31 encounter spiritual bridges that are slowly breaking apart, as if they are being stretched...

32 involve the eerie sensation of "death" marking you for reaping.

33 encounter an area in the realm that changes to fit your character or characters' personal hell(s).

34 allow the marshadow that you own to guide you safely through the realm, or have them encounter previous members of their kind that believe it to have betrayed them.

PROMPTS EXCLUSIVE TO THE 5TH EXPEDITION & ONWARD

35 encounter and/or make use of a set of scales, that your character can stand on. a nearby plaque states that should the scale the character is standing on be weighed down, they are supposedly more sinful. should the scale ascend, the character is supposedly more good.

36 a supernatural force compels you to make judgements on one another, where one's deeds or characteristics in life determine punishment or reward. punishments may involve killing (can revive by supernatural forces too)/temporarily cursing/hurting the other. not everyone needs to participate for this prompt to be fulfilled.

37 a supernatural forces causes your souls to switch bodies temporarily.

38 encounter and/or make use of a spiritual inn run by a quiet dusclops. in this inn are endless inscriptions of peoples' last words on wooden blocks. perhaps, your characters find their own prophesied last words here.

39 discover more evidence that the universe's topology is stretching. encounter sudden gaps and canyons of endless voids in the crumbling landscape of this realm.

PROMPTS EXCLUSIVE TO THE 6TH EXPEDITION & ONWARD

40 encounter a vast field of humans and pokemon who have been petrified into stone. traversing through and between them will prove to be an unnerving experience.

41 encounter a YVELTAL. it will attempt to destroy you for your meddling in this realm.

42 have your character and/or your pokemon become petrified by the YVELTAL. it is a gradual or instantaneous process, and can only be reverted by having the YVELTAL strike the petrified victim again. the petrified trainers and pokemon in prompt 40 can not be revived for too much time has passed.

43 stumble into a monochrome labyrinth of fog, an epiphanic prison, together or individually. the only way to escape is by having an epiphany of some kind: enlightenment, confession, mastering one's fears. threats may manifest in the labyrinth that represent each character's guilt, regret, etc.

• Your character can only be in ONE EXPEDITION THREAD at a time.
• You may participate with all of your characters; however, be aware of your ability to post.
• If a thread partner has not posted in awhile, please skip them in this event. Momentum is important for engagement.
• If a thread begins to stagnate and show signs of stalling, please let shiv know immediately.
• Since these threads may feature combat, please be reasonable with your battling. Discuss with your group if you'd like one move per post, how many Pokemon are allowed to be brought, etc.
• Please be trusting and open to communicating with all of your thread partners.
• Please INCLUDE WHICH PROMPTS you are using in your expedition thread.
• Please have at least FIVE POSTS PER CHARACTER in your expedition thread.
• Wilds threads must have at least TWO CHARACTERS.
• Please indicate in MODERATION REQUESTS how many times the participating characters have completed a Wilds thread and how many times they've been to a particular area.
