Thomas watched as the Paldean Woopers and Mudkip were being ferried across the sea by Clodsire. Thomas couldn't help but find them to be as adorable as Quagsire.

Tempted to bring one home with him, just to have around as another friend, Thomas would toss a Pokeball towards the convoy, hoping for the best.

The shadowed Luxray had padded away from him to sniff at something on the riverbank, only to let out a frustrated yowl. Cillian approaches her carefully, especially when she turns to hiss at his approach.[break][break]

"Chill the fuck out," he scolds, his SHADOW MIASMA spreading around them and coiling about her paws. "Let me see it."[break][break]

He thinks at first she's been bitten by something, but her symptoms are more consistent with POISON than VENOM. She lifts her paw, still grumbling, and he sees a Wooper's spike lodged in the pad.[break][break]

Pulling it out, he gives her a sharp look when she bares her fangs at him. Only when she cows does he straighten back up.[break][break]

while out on route one-zero-three, he sniffs at the air, able to sense something off with it; an odd stench that persists through gusts of wind. it smells like BLEACH.

to his surprise, it comes from a swarm of clodsire, and being familiar with one due to having one himself, he knows of their strengths.

as a MUD SHOT comes his way, he steps to the side and throws a pokeball in return.

Though Hideo couldn't see the adorable horde of Woopers and their protective Clodsire guardians, he could definitely smell it. It brought to mind the few times he'd smelled people that reeked of alcohol - but even worse than that.

But at least these stinkers sounded cute, their litany of "Woop!"s charming in their own, stinky way.

Hideo took out a Pokeball, trying to aim for one of those adorable "Woops". He didn't actually have a Wooper of his own, whether water-type or stinky-type, so he might as well take the chance to go for one now.

He'd just have to learn how to properly handle one later.

While not keen on the muddy surroundings that the Wooper and Clodsire had caused, he still couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the migration. The Clodsire seemed more than pleased to act as a ferry for the Paldean Woopers and other amphibious pokemon. Though the sight reminded him of a reverse on the tale of The Scorpion and The Frog. Kind of ironic really, as Clodsire and Paldean Wooper themselves were both poisonous. Sven was careful in his steps to avoid any poison ivy that lingered about. But once he saw a free Clodsire waiting to ferry across the river, he abandoned all sense and dived right in to see if the creature would give him a float across.

[attr="class","skullbody"]These were truly ridiculous creatures. They were big old lumps of chill vibes, barely moving more than they needed to in order to get through the day. Isaac was half convinced if you gave one a mud puddle to wallow in and regular food deliveries, it'd spend its whole life just sitting around like a potato.[break][break]

Unless it was provoked. Even its self defense was weirdly hilarious. Unseen spikes just shot out from its back, making it look less like a threat display and more like some sprouted potato. It was as strange as it was dangerous; unfortunately, when deep in a Clodsire swarm, the latter was much more the case than the former.[break][break]

Luckily, the same near-sedentary lifestyle that made these potatoes so adorable also made them really easy to bop with a Pokeball. It'd be trivial to lob a ball at one and slip through the gap in their formation before another could waddle into place. [break][break]

Jasmine watched the WOOPERS and the CLODSIRES waddle about the route near Oldale. To most people, they were adorable. And she was no exception to that. Their little grins and the WOOPERS cries were very "awe" worthy.[break][break]

However, she was keenly aware that the spikes that they donned were full of toxins, more dangerous than FOXGLOVE or any other dangerous flower.[break][break]

So she'd keep her distance, until one was close enough for her to throw a Poke ball to. As she got her chance, she tossed it, waiting to see how her luck would fair.

Marshall slowed his motorcycle down to a stop along the side of Route 103, pleasantly surprised by the sight of the Clodsire in the river. He took off his helmet and watched them for several minutes before making up his mind.[break][break]

A flash of light preceded the emergence of his Weavile from a Pokéball.[break][break]

"Pinion, think you could knock out one of those Clodsire for me so I can catch it? Eh?" Marshall said to his Pokémon. The Weavile considered the river scene below them, then nodded.[break][break]

As quick as a striking VIPER, Pinion dashed down toward the bank and attacked the nearest Clodsire with ICE SHARD.[break][break]

The Sylveon yawned. He did not share Nomi's sentiment. In fact, he was eager to get away from all of the mud and water.[break][break]
The two of them stood on the banks of the river running through Route 103, Nomi scribbling eagerly in a notebook as she watched the strange phenomenon before her: Paldean Clodsire were shepherding Paldean Wooper and Mudkip across the river one by one. It was both practical and whimsical, as if the Pokémon were playing some kind of game while also working together.[break][break]
"I still can't believe there are so many Paldean Pokémon in Hoenn right now," Nomi commented. "Such a wonderful opportunity to study them..."[break][break]
Speaking of which, a rather large Clodsire was drifting steadily towards Nomi and Val. It seemed confused, its bulbous brown back - which reminded Nomi of a giant autumn skullcap mushroom - was empty. Was it looking for its next passenger? Nomi took out a Pokeball and motioned for Val to help her capture it. With a sigh, he conjured a wave of PSYCHIC energy. Nomi threw her Pokeball.[break][break]

Mitch's got some kinda poison running through his veins. It was a stupid ideal before coming to the route and investigating the place, but he got some huff and electrified his nervous system with that sweet beautiful white powder most people are a slave to.[break][break]

Mitch's eyes are on the swarm that looks to him a little like some kind of poison pool of mud lava. He can dig it, for sure.[break][break]

Note to self, do research on mushrooms before adding them to stews. That is the only reason Kee could think of that his intestines would be feeling the way that they are now. Those had to be some sort of non-lethal poison mushroom...at least he hoped it was non-lethal. His poor Wartortle was escorting him right now. Thankfully, his intestines hurting was the only thing that was going wrong for him today as he tried desperately to get to the nearest town. 

And here he finds a horde of Paldean Wooper and Clodsire. They were adorable! Seriously, how could something so poisonous look so much cuter than the Johto version? The blonde had to try to catch one! Taking out a Pokeball, he just threw it. And didn't know where it went as his guts decided to let him know that they were not happy with his decision to add wild mushrooms to the stew he attempted to cook...
