There was a disturbance in the equilibrium, a massive shift in energy. Space tore itself apart like a rabid animal to unleash the beast they feared would one day return. This is what they had been waiting for, what they had been preparing for. The stars blurred, stretching into long strands of light as they sped through space, challenging their own limits. The emerald streak tore through the darkness, breaking through the region’s stratosphere with a sharp crack that echoed across the skies from Oldale to Ever Grande.

The frantic thrum of her patron’s sudden urgency tore her from her studies. Beakers crashed against the sparkling tile floor alongside the lab coat she quickly shed. None of this mattered.

’s comm would crackle to life, the familiar voice broken and slurred due to the dragon’s EXTREME SPEED.

“W- -re -inbou--”

Only a few seconds ticked by before the high pitched whistle of a presence breaking the sound barrier crescendoed into an eerie silence. A flash of light, and a sudden explosion of rock, ice, and snow blanketed the Kyurem, Rayquaza striking from the right with a shattering DRAGON’S ASCENT.

TWO CHARACTERS PER PLAYER are allowed to participate. The characters can not participate in the same thread.[break][break]

Prophecies revealed in one thread will be revealed in the other thread and vice-versa.[break][break]

So, Hoenn’s doom had returned. It was even more impressive up close. Well, as up close as one could call her current position. Shizue was not exactly someone made for the front lines, after all. A researcher was not necessarily a fighter. Some of the others were. And she had her Elektek out, shielding her from the snow for the time being. But she knew that she could not actually face that thing. Not when others tried so much harder to, using much more power than she had access to.

The Beast had told them not to engage, but those words fell on deaf ears, of course. It was bound to happen. In the face of this much power, one had to recognize the threat it represented to one’s very existence. She had felt that, at that tree. This was much the same. But also different.

But Shizue had learned from that. “Not crazy. Charging headlong into the unknown is,” she started over the comms, for once agreeing with and disagreeing with . Yet, she also knew that the others were right. It was too late now. The fight had already begun. Some might say that it had even before they had arrived. And some might say that rushing in without as much as a proper strategy might mean they already lost. But that was why she was here, along with others.
Shizue held onto her binoculars, while her electric type shielded her from the blizzard’s strongest side for the time being by using charge to disperse some cold air. “That being said, hitting it with everything is the best course of action now,” she continued, though this time mostly musing to herself, all but forgetting the comms were a thing.

If nothing else, she could observe from here and try to see if she could spot something helpful. This scientist did know her place. It was not far away from danger, cooped up and waiting for good news. But she also was not here to fight a hopeless battle with the power of her Pokemon. If she could contribute to this fight, it would probably be her mind doing that.

Which was probably a thing, now that she could make out words in the storm. “This is being translated to us, so it must have meaning,” she mused to herself once more. “But the Hoopa could simply tell us right away. Does it want us to prove ourselves here or something like that?” Legendary Pokemon….they truly had minds unlike their own, did they not?

tl;dr: Shizue has her Pokemon try to shield her from the Blizzard while she observes and listens, trying to find some clues while others fight

Andrea wasn't the only one who thought of making things sunnier. 's Volcarona shone like a beacon of hope for the League's allies. The Roaring Moon was drawn to the new source of light and warmth, ironically, like a moth to a flame.

All other Dragon-types paled in comparison to the legendary Zekrom, who joined the fray with its avatar, . As if things couldn't possibly get more badass, Lord Rayquaza crashed the party as well, which meant that was likely nearby.

"Whoa..." The young PokéManiac gaped in awe, only to then shake her head vividly. She couldn't afford to get distracted by the awesome. Every move counted. "Savage, keep using Sunny Day, we're almost there!"

Sadly, the day remained blizzardy, the crimson-winged Paradox Pokémon getting frozen solid for its troubles. "Oh no!"

That thought keeps his spirit warm against the cold. He has heard tales of what happens to those consumed by Kyurem’s ice. If he or his Pokemon fall here, won’t be able to bail him out. It’s the end of the road.[break][break]
“Arceus, if she isn’t cool.” He whispers, mostly to himself. riding in on Rayquaza is as impressive now as it was when she appeared during the skirmish at the tomb. An emerald streak across the sky, bringing with it hope. His mother once told him stories about the great dragon. It brought forth peace in an age of primordial conflict.[break][break]

The black lizard spread its wings and let out an excited roar, the lingering sunshine triggering its Solar Power. It might not be quite what had in mind when he suggested that someone used a Dhelmise, but hopefully the spiraling vortex of fire would restrict Kyurem's movements.

Dragons' roars filled the air as first Zekrom, then Rayquaza descended upon the battlefield. That meant and had joined the fight, bringing the full might of their powers and patrons with them. [break][break]

"Stay close to me," the Rocket Beast said to a masked over the din of battle. [break][break]

Thunder cracked. A short distance away, and joined . Zev noted that neither Tapu Koko nor Chien-Pao were present—yet. Instead, their twin Dragapult took to the skies. [break][break]

It’s so cold.[break][break]
Those without sygna suits crave their power, but this sword has two edges. Navy feels the ache that begins to fill Arthur. Dragons are not beasts meant for this weather. They are meant to soar through warm skies, or rest on gentle sands.[break][break]
Arthur will not last long in this weather. It’s as if Navy’s own fist begins to freeze. Through the blizzard, he swears he sees others helping – masked renegades. On another battlefield, they would be enemies. Navy’s happy for the help. He’s more than willing to look the other way. Any port in a storm, as the saying goes.[break][break]
“Keep up the good work.” He tells through the comm link. The fire spin spreads, and Arthur slams a fist into the side of the great dragon. It will not be enough. Not yet.[break][break]
“Setting up a fighting field with my suit.” His voice is calm, with only a hint of his discomfort leaking through. They’re cracks on the edge of a frozen lake. Expanding out, he blankets the battlefield in the power of raw infinity energy. Arthur clangs his scales, his vigor renewed once more.[break][break]
Another drain punch bashes against the glacier. Another blow against a being that seems more a galaxy than a god.
