AN ENIGMATIC ENCOUNTER has led team rocket to discover a new setting in the RKS SIMULATOR: the ability to include multiple individuals to a simulated world. however, these would-be participant will find themselves digitized, comatose, and unable to escape until the scenario is cleared. stuck in a sprawling world, they must now rely on a person outside the simulator to help navigate this hostile takeover.
OOC EXPLANATION
OUR WAR GAME is a squad based PVE event meant to beta test conceptual features. each squad will designate one character as a COMMANDER while other participants represent disposable resources.

each squad will be assigned thread(s) that contribute to an overarching scenario. as the thread progresses, players can earn event currency, known as FACTION POINTS. the command will utilize these points oocly to purchase perks to assist the overall objective.

although each thread contributes to the scenario, players should not expect success. some threads will fail and most characters will die. this is expected and a reoccurring theme for this event type will be reprioritization and curbing one’s losses.

this event will require players to trust, collaborate, and communicate with their commander. please keep this in mind prior to signing up and when forming your squads.

[break][break] NEW MECHANIC EVENT SPECIFIC THE COMMANDER
THIS PLAYER will function differently than any other character. the COMMANDER will be responsible for tracking their factions FP points across all threads, deciding which characters to deploy, and how to spend their faction’s points.

instead of roleplaying in the traditional sense, they will take a omniscient perspective in all threads. they may post in any thread, at any time, to purchase a perk and request a mod post. they will also decide on certain objectives that steer the overall narrative.

the commander will have their own thread to track the scenario’s progress, along with their faction’s FP. occasionally, a mod post will give them a holistic view of the situation.

due to the event’s reliance on this role, this will be the most demanding position. players who wish to undertake this role will need to keep up with multiple threads, remain active, and demonstrate a good level of documentation and communication.
THE SQUAD
EXCLUDING THE COMMANDER, each squad requires at least four characters to sign up as deployable units. players will sign up with their character, representative pokemon, and their desired ‘star rating’.

a character’s star rating will represent their power level relative to the event. the more powerful a character, the higher their star rating. a moderator will ultimately determine a character’s star rating and price based on the squad’s overall sign-up information.

commanders will choose which characters they wish to deploy to each thread based on their starting resources. characters that are not immediately deployed will be in reserve until called upon.

for this iteration, there is no limit to squad size. however, since each character has a cost, not every character may participate. those signing up with a large squad, or with characters that have a high cost, should temper their expectations ahead of time.
THE PLAYERS ONCE DEPLOYED, characters will participate in their moderated event similar to hoenn’s raids. a moderator will post a scenario and optional prompts for players to accrue faction points.

while this event is not DEATH ENABLED in the traditional sense, characters can be killed in the simulation. this will eject them from the event unless they are revived by their COMMANDER.

due to the cylindrical design of this event, most players should expect to be ejected at some point in time.
