One and the rest of Rex's Pokemon whirled away, squawking in surprise as the the rest of the attacks hit the monster...and unplugged it. Did they help? Rex didn't know, but he was definitely taking credit for the tail. [break][break]

"I did it!" His voice cracked under the stress, his face white, the very image of a man who didn't think they'd make it this far. "We won, One!" His Pokemon shrieked in triumph, terrifying sounds mixing with a Raichu's frankly adorable squeaks. He didn't mention them, but Two and Four celebrated regardless. Two for the bloody and won battle, Four for survival. [break][break]

He had to find Gav or something, where was the guy? He, Lulu, someone had to hear about this! [break][break]

And then he spotted two points in the sky, still facing off with the giant black monster. Something slimy and draconic streaked through the skies and vanished, but Rex didn't focus on that. Something disappeared could be agonized over later, he was focused on those two points-two enemies. [break][break]

Rex's face twisted into some kind of smile. They had to be the last of the enemies, the remnants of the ones that scared him silly. He hiccupped, fear trembling in his throat and only making him angrier, "Kill them, guys!" Eager to please, One settled and yawned his mouth open, Hyper Beam charging in its throat and firing for the airborne enemies. Surprisingly, Four joined in with a fired off Thunder...perhaps she was just as furious. The fight was over, so he could make them scared of him, get his revenge! Rex didn't even think of the future, of taking a hostage, blood on his hands. He just needed to win, to be the best, to never look scared in front of people. [break][break]

Unable to help attack with her claws, Two searched for any remaining troops, Fury Cutting any enemy that still lived with hisses of glee. The whole team seemed to want revenge for the fright they felt. [break][break]

Thomas grits his teeth as he sees that his attempt at unearthing the left foot didn't do the job. Thankfully, it does play a part in ultimately getting the job done, as others pitch in, ultimately leading to Groudon's Fissure finishing it off. Meanwhile, his Alakazam manages to pick off the remaining Megalopolan troops through the power of Expanding Force.

Despite this, their victory would be short lived, as he sees Philomera take the brunt of Zekrom's Dragon Breath. Even worse was a Dark Void striking the area, putting those in its radius to sleep, including the former Champion, Bosch. "You gotta be fucking kidding me!", Thomas remarks, not at all pleased with this. They needed the General alive, at least long enough to interrogate. It wasn't certain if Jules, her lover, would have the information they needed. But all they could do was give it a try.

"Freke, slow his fall with Telekinesis!", ordered the masked trainer.

"Bring in Cotillard alive! We need to interrogate him!", Thomas called out to any League personnel nearby.

"Ripper, on me!", called out Thomas.

Thomas would fly over to where the former Champion had landed, near the tail of the fallen titan. The armored insect would follow closely, shadowing his master before arriving. "Dammit!", Thomas called out to nobody in particular, as he made an attempt to find the body of the former Champion, hoping that she was alive, but preparing for the worst.

Gavin backs off at Lucas' insistence, lifting his hands in a defensive gesture. His expression is pinched with stress and strain. Lucas' Machamp, at least, seems to have things under control."All right, but be careful!"[break][break]

As if the night couldn't get worse, the Porygon that appears does little good. Gavin winces in pain as residual sparks administer a painful shock, glad for the metal composition of the power plant that soaks up the rest.[break][break]

It's the sound of his alias that gets Gavin to turn his head; is a sight for sore eyes. In the midst of a chaotic war between Hoenn and aliens looking to use them as a food source, they're all on the same side.[break][break]

"Honestly I've no idea," is breathless as 'Cavalli' makes to follow Katherine toward the stairs. His words spill out in a rush. "Fairburne jumped into a fucking wormhole and I saw someone follow her, so I followed them, we got attacked by some — space creature, spat back out here," he makes a wild gesture to indicate the plant, "and then Lane started attacking us and talking about a 'Blacephalon'? Katherine's Pokemon went nuts and attacked him, probably because he attacked her, and I just want to get the fuck out of here before—"[break][break]

"—anything gets worse!" is what Gavin would have said, had he been able to finish before a deafening roar cuts him off and stops him in his tracks. Giratina bursts from the belly of the plant like some great, sludge-covered worm.[break][break]

"Oh fuck, that's the thing from space, run!"[break][break]

There's no need. Giratina bursts through the ceiling and out into the world, the sky exposed through a gaping hole. Gavin leaps onto Corviknight's back and points toward the opening, seeing it as their best chance to make a quick exit before the plant came down around them. Its energy restored by an earlier roosting, Corviknight launches itself toward the hole and spreads its wings. Lycanroc and Lucario take the stairs together, rushing to rejoin Gavin outside.[break][break]

It's only then that Gavin bears witness to what the cord had been attached to: some giant, fallen Beast that dominated the route. Corviknight circles closer to the action as Gavin searches for familiar faces in the chaos.[break][break]

Her laughter died in tandem with their foe. Bailey's manic eyes losing their glimmer at the realization that the Xurkitree was truly dead.[break][break]

Yet, flames still simmered.[break][break]

Her momentum ground to its unexpected stop, leaving her to pant with a chest-rising urgency. Despite all of this build-up, it had not been how she had envisioned it.[break][break]

Victory had not felt won. Residual shock, like the remaining charge in the Xurkitree's cables, trembled in her hands.[break][break]

Her pokemon injured; cradled in capsules unable to see what had felt underwhelming.[break][break]

It was not enough.[break][break]

Shaking, the Champion has to struggle with her own twisted mental foil.[break][break]

This should have been sufficient. This should have been enough to finally satiate her. Her hands twisted into her shirt, still hungry, still undeserving.[break][break]

It was a contradictory thought; on the ground, she had prayed that it would not die so soon.[break][break]

Because she thought she would have felt better.[break][break]

But, she does not.[break][break]

The primal might in her body felt capable of filling the void; capable of filling what had been missing. So, what more would it take?[break][break]

Her eyes drifted, suddenly clouded by the twisting contortion of green. As leaves cut and slice into the flames that emanated from her body, Bailey would grunt and grimace, raising a hand to her face. The twisting tongues of flames unable to dampened the sharped blades of the leaf tornado.[break][break]

Groudon would not humor such transgressions. With each breath, the Legendary's own inner heat condencing in a similar steam; yet, eyes would focus on 's Scyther and Shiftry[break][break]

The red beast marched, traversing grounds once covered by the stretch of now retreating seas; desolate lands beating down against the Legendary with an empowering splendor.[break][break]

He grunted, raising prodigious claws as one hand encased Bailey. The darting pokemon, akin the flies, would not be tolerated.[break][break]

Beneath the ground, magma-like force churned and raised to line the ground red with its veins.[break][break]

And with a bursting force, the Legendary would cry to the distant skies as it released Lava Plume right underneath itself with a wide, stretching radius.[break][break]

Ground burst, letting lava manifest and rise forth like a fountain's burst.[break][break]

Bailey, covered in the shield that was Groudon's prodigious claws, wondered what it would take for her to feel normal again.[break][break]

Myths and legends manifested from storybooks. Humans raised earth and burned like an angry flame. Somewhere amongst all of this was Gigi: a completely normal female with little to no experience with the strange occurrences in the real world.

Barriers between reality and fiction shattered into tiny fragments. What little concept of reality she possessed was deconstructed before her very eyes. Fiction turned non-fiction and visa versa.

Her mind was a puzzle that had lost a piece lost somewhere in all of the discord and noise. Life really was just a game. A dry laugh tickled her parched, sore throat. Comfort came from the false lies stating that this was a simulation - a practice test for a new advancement in technology.

But this was a never ending experiment. Although players in a cruel, twisted game, there was no escape. One couldn’t simply exit out or reload a previous save file. Every action had a real consequence, each motion setting a butterfly effect into play.

Gigi was lost in the thoughts that threatened to eat her alive every single day. It looks like they would find satiate their appetite. The woman was too shocked, too confused, too everything. Emotions that she couldn’t control ran rampant as the mask was forcibly peeled from her face. Glazed eyes stared blankly as the enemies began their descent to the hard ground below. Who was she to interfere? To play the role of fate?

A familiar voice called out, barking orders and requesting assistance. ”Thomas..” He was a character that she recognized, that she personally knew. Instinctively, her stiff body drew towards the only source of security.

Concern weighed heavy in the air as her three Pokemon exchanged glances. After a short discussion, the three split ways. Duracell and Captcha flew close to the Nagadanel: one of the beasts that had nearly destroyed their fellow teammate. Anger and pain released in a combined discharge.

Meanwhile, Terabyte stuck to Gigi’s side. She brought the shell shocked girl close to her body, her warmth embracing her like a mother’s touch. The Venusaur supported her trembling body, gently guiding her away from any hazardous wires, as Gigi shuffled toward Thomas.

The light in her had dulled as her gaze caught sight of the wreckage. Bodies were strewn about, a pleasurable sight for the Grim Reaper. With Terabyte’s aid, she attempted to help the search and rescue/recover mission.

Breaths were forced to keep a steady pace as Gigi tried to appear fine, tried to help. She only ended up feeling like a burden. Painful memories burned into her mind: the disappointed looks of her parents as she failed the achieve perfection, the looks of disappointment on her former teammates face when she let the team down during a play.

Ethernet had nearly died because of her actions and her other Pokemon suffered. She had been vastly unprepared, unaware or ignoring the threat that laid ahead. Once again she had fucked up and there was only herself to blame.

The sight of the alien lady being roasted alive was pretty traumatic. Even if she was a flesh eating monster, she was still a sentient being. Such childish mercy didn't slip around his reasoned logic however. The acrid aroma of seared skin made him queasy, but he still could only think of the part she had played in, to his knowledge, only today's atrocious events.

The enemy male immediately lunged at the bespectacled bad-ass and his pokemon in a rage filled revenge, his sudden movements triggered his yanmega to detect in fear for her own precious cargo. The dark orb that appeared and began to engulf all the fliers, enemy and ally alike, shook him from his loss of potential technology however. Despite the panic slowly filling his mind, he wondered who the fuck threw such a collateral move.

Even their airborne reinforcements weren't spared as the darner pokemon tried to juke the growing circumference with a speed boosted detect. On the ground, as the giant beast crumpled, Epitaph spots his master's plight and in trepidation charged towards him along the rubber and corpse littered grass, foolishly, but desperately hoping to somehow catch him should he fall, even if such a thing would be physically impossible, the ghost pokemon can't so easily abandon his master, even if he is helpless.

The DISCHARGE causes sparks to scatter sparks inside the power plant, causing some to ricochet off the walls until they strike all three of them.

They sizzle in contact with her skin, causing a grimace to wash over Katherine’s expression. She’s both pissed and annoyed, but frankly, she’s more distracted by the fact that they’re totally blind down here.

What happened while they were gone?

How bad were things outside?

The gym leader can’t help but imagine destruction and chaos, the worst of every possibility. Her city must be in ruins. But before she can curse Lucas Lane again, a bone-chilling sensation spreads from her core, ignited by the eerie howl of the beast.

It’s… Here?

Katherine turns just in time to witness the shadowy Giratina emerge as if the Wormhole hadn’t closed yet. The legendary’s presence alone steals the air from her lungs, leaving her breathless and astonished.

It’s here.

To her surprise, its focus is on Lucas and it strikes the man before tearing a hole in the ceiling to escape through. The earth trembles again due to the force of the creature’s actions, but this time, Katherine stays firm in her stand.

Everything else can wait.

”Soul,” She whispers to her Reuniclus, “Trace it.” The BEAST BOOSTED psychic-type releases another surge of psychic force, emitting a FUTURE SIGHT in the process. It attempts to trace after Giratina as Katherine and her ghosts escape from the power plant.

Frankly, she doesn’t care enough to turn around and check for ’s condition. He brought this on himself.

"Getting help, Katherine scratched me up good after throwing a blacephelon bomb through a wormhole." Lucas wheezed between pained breaths. "Don't listen to that guy," he interrupted Gavin at the mention of Blacephelon. "She already admitted to having Blacephelon on camera." Lucas shook his phone weakly.

Lucas shouted to run moments before the draconid would collide into him. The residual v-create that swirled around his body managed to absorb the brunt of the damage. It allowed the head scientist to make it out of the ordeal with only a bump from his Machamp getting knocked to the ground.

"Where's," Lucas took a quick breath. "The nearest medic?" He asked as his machamp released its hands from his chest wound for a moment to push itself back up. While left exposed blood would gush out the wound once more.

cait loudly called for her pokemon to return to her - all of them responding to her with haste. with the wiry ultrabeast's defeat, she'd take the chance and mind her pokemon's injuries. a swift glance performed alongside her celebi revealed that nothing particularly serious had harmed her team, which caused a wave of relief to wash over her as her shoulders slumped. 

"focus," she murmured, sweat trickling from her brow as she responded to the heat. 

's call was immediately heeded by the woman,  her gaze snapping abruptly onto the falling figure of their enemy.

"celebi?"

her lord considers, noting that multiple individuals were converging to either kill or save the plummeting figure. while cait's pokemon converged in a protectively loose circle around the petite female, celebi lurched forward within the air. in a bid to prevent the man's death, the celebi sought to close the distance and tightly wrap the man in a psychic aura. if successful, the potential prisoner would be locked into the dual-type's custody and made to float harmlessly in the air.

As the steelix dives inwards and a haze conceals their approach, Circe plays support. Her gengar settles alongside the alcremie as it erects a PROTECT on the steelix. Shiinotic moves near steelix's head, attaching itself to the metallic serpent like a parasite. It stands on the ready, prepared to cough up a paralyzing STUN SPORE to enemies who dare to near them.

From the Giratina who vanished just overhead, Absol attempts to copy its Shadow Force. If their target should be captured, the mega absol prepares a ME FIRST for an escape attempt with steelix & co.

he finds himself making his way over to where many people have gathered after the giant christmas tree falls and whoever was controlling it had fallen as people surround the body of the female general and her slobbering and snivling excuse of a person that was her "husband" or hwatever kind of relationship they had. despite the fact that they did try to kill everyone kaine was at least interested in sparing him. even if the league locked him up he was certain rocket could at least whisk him away from his holding cell and bring him to their hideout. that or the offer to go and slit his throat in his sleep could find its way to kaine if they realize he's nothing but a lost cause to them. either way his future was sure to be hell on this earth from here on now.

above the groudon the team of scyther and shiftry were hitting their marks they managed to anger the mighty beast as it stomped along the ground and pillars of lava shot up from where it stood as it raised its hands to protect its master. scyther was much more nimble thanks to its boosted evasivness from the double team so it weaved through the pillars and shot forward with a quick attack before groudon could protect bailey and aimed a slice with its blade to the champions midsection.

as it flew by it had deposited the shiftry who ran as quick as it could to reach the champion as the large paw of the legendary clasped onto its avatar, the shiftry stabbed the hand with its fingers as it tried to hold back the hand with whatever measly strength it had compared to the beast and looked at the champion in the eyes. its face screaming only one thing to her if she could even understand the cold stare that it gave.

Razz was worn down. [break][break]

After putting so much of his own energy to combined with Whis's for the Z-Move he went through a wave of emotions. Panic from the attack seeming to give energy to the tail rather than smashing through like he originally hoped. Dread as all he could do was witness the electrical power go toward the head, part of him thinking that they would be the reason this thing suddenly went dying to charged like a phone. Surprise as when the electrical power hit the head rather than gaining power the lighting is struck into the air and the kaiju goes limp. Then finally relief as he realized just what it meant, the thing was dead and honestly the trainer wished he could lay and rest to follow but they were still on a battle field. He smiles as he ruffles the cat's head, "You did amazing you know that?" [break][break]

For a brief moment Razz thought that was the worse of things, at least until a dark cry could be heard. Looking toward where the tail had smashed into the Power Plant before watching as a large black creature came from it. And if the other black pokemon he saw was the embodiment of the boogie man, he could only describe this one as being the very source of where it came from. Lovely. Taking out his phone the Ranger did would he could to get video of the creature to study it later. Though having been a Lab Assistant for so long there was that little voice in the back of his head that told him to investigate. [break][break]

With plenty of people trying to deal with those that were in the air Razz returned his Zeraora to rest as he jumped on Flygon and headed down the same hole the monster came out of, with Cobalt following close behind ready to protect their Trainer in case anything popped out still. The ranger thankful the thing was so huge to make avoiding the black goo easier to see if anything could be found. Damn his curious nature.

TLDR:
  • Congratulates his Zeraora for their attack.
  • Razz feels he's seen WAY to many black creatures of legends to last a life time.
  • Zeraora is returned to their pokeball.
  • Having once been a Lab Assistant, and feeling that there were plenty dealing with those in the air Razz chooses to investigate where the Black Monster (Giratina) came from and goes to the lower levels of the plant with his Flygon and Metagross.
