With the Thunder Fan being used by the Champion one way or another, Sparks seem to somehow fly down the rope, however Sage braces himself, using VINE WHIP to ground himself properly to not just help keep them from moving forward but to have the sparks flow into the ground rather than their team. He was a protector after all and he would protect those on his team too.

The tug of war had been going on long enough. Casey was skinny. Sweaty. Anemic too. He had patches of beet-red skin, under the horrific sun. The cruel mistress punishing him for his pallor. He'd been utterly demoralized by how little he seemed to be able to control as of late, but now was his chance.

He called for his Whiscash to act up, unlike its usual docile self. He had a wicked grin spread across his face, with it wide enough to affect the skin around his eyes. "Use Earthquake." Compared to its previous outburst, Earthquake was far less controlled. It was less of a focused attempt to pull someone’s head apart and more like indiscriminate thrashing around. "WooAAAAhhH!" The shout went up as the sand itself rippled like someone shaking out a freshly laundered sheet. People staggered, caught off guard by the sudden stirring of the earth beneath their feet.

Michi was no exception-- she was so startled she actually let go of the rope for a moment, a surge of irrational fear rolling through her. How many times had they done emergency earthquake drills at the hotel, or in school as a child?

But the wave of panic passed, replaced with determination. She seized the rope again, finding her footing. Unless it caused a tsunami, there was nothing to fall on them out here on the beach-- and no people to evacuate! Everyone was already here!

Someone had to draw the line, and that person was Michiko! "Janpu, draw a line!" she cried predictably, and the Jumpluff fired a line of sharp-edged seeds in the sand between the Red and Blue teams, showing them the mark they had to cross. The end was in sight!

Each team was merciless in their attacks against one another, and Jayden grit his teeth as an Earthquake rocked the floor before him. His eyes flickered to michiko maeda as her pokemon drew a Bullet Seed line in the sand.

[break][break] "Cover their line of sight," Jayden ordered, fingers still wrapping stubbornly against the rope. Obediently, the Chandelure rose to the sky again, just enough to block the sun before releasing a SMOG that burst forward to cover their opponent's vision, hopefully giving them the leeway that they needed.

This match was going to last forever, guarantee it. Both sides are strong and resilient. They'd fight until they collapsed. The blue team released a Smog. The poisonous haze sank dangerously to the ground, spreading, threatening to not only block their sight but choke them into submission, "Oh, HELL no!" the red head grunted, summoned the Tauros to her side, "Get that shit outta here," the bull snorted, stamping his hooves into the ground. A faint pink aura encased his horns as psychic power grew from within. He charged forward, bursting through the smog with a ZEN HEADBUTT to break up the cloud and disperse it before any real damage could be done.

The game had definitely been going on for a while longer than Tadashi might have anticipated... At this point it didn't feel like a game, it felt like war. Everyone was either fully sucked into it now, or was just trying to make it end in one favor or the other, and that definitely meant getting the Pokemon involved. There was a bit of a scuffle going on just ahead that he could hear, and if helping meant that he could keep his team in the little bit of the lead that they had, then it was worth a shot.
"Goomy, don't let that bug attack go anywhere, use rock slide," Tadashi called to the small dragon, hoping that with a couple of well tossed rocks and stones that they could counter enough to keep things going.

It was time to end this. Blue had the advantage for now, but if they could just manage to take back the advantage, they might be able to pull it off as the clock counted down. He was tired. Dunamus was tired. But they persisted. Both Trainer and Pokemon were stubborn as could be, and neither were willing to quit just yet.

A Goomy on the other side would use Rock Slide. And Josh knew that Dunamus was running out of steam. But hopefully... Hopefully this could turn the tide in their favor. "MUDDY WATER!" he called out.

The ensuing tidal wave summoned by the Swampert would soon crash down upon the other team...

The rock slide that Goomy released did not go unnoticed, and the other team made a quick counter with a muddy water attack that was surely going to make them loose their narrow lead. If there was one thing that Tadashi knew at least in learning about how to effectively utilize the most basic Pokemon information, there were a couple of things that were difficult to counter, and he had exactly that in wait.
"We're not done yet, Goomy, Thunderbolt," Tadashi called triumphantly, proud that he had the opportunity to make the call and hope that this would give them an edge in keeping their slim and narrow lead in the game.
