Busta caught sight of a dangling, orange-furred enemy hanging from the rope. The creature was a cat! A shrimp's natural enemy! The pleasant chime of Sprinkle's collar was like a cry to war.

She narrowed her eyes and loosened her grip, letting go of the rope entirely as she aimed her oversized claw at the adorable little feline. Busta tensed her claw, building pressure that solidified into a compact sphere of hard light. The Aura Sphere glowed with the light of bursting nerves and twitched like overworked muscles.

Busta took aim at the cat. She fired.

the granbull joins kyle in pulling the rope against the enemy team. blue headbands on both of them, they try to pull with all their fervor so they won't disappoint the blue team.

the dog licks the rope for some reason. kyle thinks it's good luck, but he knows all it does is make the rope full of slobber and makes it sticky on his hand.

...which is actually useful since it gives him better traction to keep on holding the rope. having his hand get moisturized, no matter the substance, means he doesn't get his palms burned from the friction easily too!

Logan grimaced as the Granbull licked the rope at first. "Of all things ya coulda done..." he mumbled as well. He looked down at his Glaceon, aka Princess, who was pulling on the rope along with her trainer with all her little Ice-type might. She seemed to be struggling in her current position, quietly forcing Logan to think of a quick solution.

When he got his idea, he perked up; something Princess noticed immediately. "Princess, go to the back of the rope, or wherever there's a low-hangin' part, and use Bite! Give it some extra tuggin' power with those teeth of yours!" he spoke towards the Glaceon, who immediately obeyed the order with a chirrup of approval.

Mason did not know what he got himself into. But there he was pulling a rope with a bunch of other people. It wasn’t his ideal type of activity but oh well spending some time with his Larvesta, Vesty, won’t hurt that much.

He then saw a Rhyperior ahead on the other team pulling with extra force. Despite wanting to go back home and have a nice shower, Mason did not want to give up. He wanted to put his all and try to win this thing.

”Good job Vesty! Now let’s put more energy into it!”, out of passion, the Larvesta FLAME CHARGEd, cloaking itself in fire and pulled with much more force.

Goomy uses Muddy Water!

A game of tug of war was maybe not Tadashi’s strong suit, but he was really having a great time. Everyone was so pumped, and the Pokemon involved were having so much fun, he couldn’t help but enjoy himself as he held onto his section of the rope as he pulled along with the rest of his team. He’d been placed on the blue team, a team called Kyogre? He didn’t really know what that was about, he’d never heard the name before, but what he did know is that there was an awful tug from the other side that he knew could cause some trouble.
”Goomy, give us some help,” Tadashi called for the small dragon that he had with him, and while it didn’t necessarily have arms to help them pull, it did have some attacks that could keep things interesting!

Goomy used Muddy Water and followed through with a rush of slushy, gunky water at the feet of some of the competitors on the other side, trying to make the ground a little more slippery and a little less easy to keep their footing on. This was definitely so much fun, Tadashi hoped that he and his team could win!

Now Tadashi was really getting into it, this was so much fun to be a part of! It seemed though, as to have been expected, that the red team didn't exactly take to having their footing messed up with some muddy water on their side. It was being pushed back towards Tadashi's team's side of the rope, and they really couldn't have that. They needed something with a little more stick and much more gunk to it.
"No way, come on Goomy, let's get them back," Tadashi nodded, doing his best to keep his footing, and his Goomy used Sludge Wave to push another bout of gunky goop over towards the other team to try and do his best to help out and gain some ground again in pulling the rope.

Logan smiled a little, appreciating that despite Princess' preference to have peace and quiet, she was still just as into this game as everyone else was. But when the next move from the enemy team was ordered and sent forth, he knew he had to act quickly. Sludge Wave is a hefty move, especially against groups. Thankfully, Logan -- or more specifically Princess -- had a back-up for situations like this...or, rather, the combat versions of these situations.

Raising his voice so his Glaceon was able to hear properly, he gave her a new command of her own. "Princess, send it right back with MIRROR COAT!" he said with a firm and empowering tone, confident in the strength and reliability of his Pokemon, even if it was only just a game. Better to at least try and fail, than to hesitate and suffer, right?

Princess the Glaceon released the rope from her jaws and darted into position. With a spine-tingling howl, her body, which already shimmered in the summer rays due to her icy fur, began to glow even more. With Mirror Coat prepped, she leapt at the Sludge Wave head on; sending the move right back to where it came, sloshing against the ground around Team Kyogre.

This were getting pretty fucking heated, and where was Lars in all this?

Quietly biding his time, that’s what!

Accompanied by Alpha, his Lucario, he was somewhere down the conga line on the red team’s side. He wasn’t talking much, but after that sudden flash-bang from up front, he looked right at Alpha, and then cracked a shit-eating smirk.

Never had he cracked that smirk in a long while, and while the Lucario was confused at first, he then pointed to the side of his head before raising his eyebrows.

It was then the Lucario got the cue—and then started thinking of Nasty Plots, the better to tip the scales in their favor.

The tug of war had been going on long enough. Casey was skinny. Sweaty. Anemic too. He had patches of beet-red skin, under the horrific sun. The cruel mistress punishing him for his pallor. He'd been utterly demoralized by how little he seemed to be able to control as of late, but now was his chance. The Rockets would recognize his pinched face and reddish pink hair... almost. It'd be vaguely familiar, but off somehow. Like seeing paprika next to chili powder on the spice rack.
