THANKS TO samuel carter'S INVESTMENT INTO MT. PYRE'S INFRASTRUCTURE, the burial grounds are more popular than ever. Morbidly enough. However, it is to be expected. The many tragedies of Hoenn have ushered in waves of mourning and lamentations. Many come to remember lost loved ones and to greet Pokemon partners who have passed on.[break][break]

However, a pesky swarm of Gliscor have begun to swoop down from the branches, deeming the mountain as their territory. Under samuel carter's request, trainers have been asked to shoo these Pokemon away... Perhaps, you will be able to come away with one of them instead?[break][break]

in order to qualify for the capture, you must ROLL using the ROLL COMMAND & REFERENCE VAMPIRES somewhere in your post. You can use figurative language, an allusion, a gif, image, etc. as long as it relates to vampires in some way!
the highest roll will earn a shiny gliscor (gender of your choice); the second highest will earn a regular gliscor, the second lowest will earn a regular gligar and the lowest roll will earn a shiny gligar.
the attempted capture will not consume a pokéball.
the gliscor/gligar have movesets that will be revealed at the end of the event.
this is a time-limited event and will end november 20th (12AM PST).

mt. pyre's been real crowded recently, influxed by the trainers searching for unowns. he's there for the same reason as the others, so consider his surprise when a pesky swarm of gliscor descend down upon them.

Kris got a juicy bit of valuable information! That a swarm of Bloodsucking Draculas like from the obscure movie, better known as the Gliscor evolution line, was swarming Mt. Pyre and swooping at unsuspecting visitors and mourners sucks to be them. Their misery does make this information easier to find, so here Kris is hunting a Gliscor, or its pre-evolution, which either one will be useful for their endeavors. Or a Quick buck. Either's good for them to get.

Suddenly, While Kris was wandering the Mountain, a Pokemon-shaped shadow came swooping at them-So Kris threw a Pokeball without looking at what they were throwing it at, but it'd be a good catch if did catch something of just scatters them.

it was like watching an 80's horror flick in action. spread wings reminded him of the cloak, and large crimson stained fangs gave him chills. it was perhaps an obscure reference to the price of darkness, but...

it was over quickly, valentine needing to actually shoo away the spider from gorging on the gliscor's insides. he looks down at the wrapped-up bat, smiling wide and every bit as hungry as it was.

Kee brought Spheal with him. Gliscor were often used as partner Pokemon for vampires in the movies, at least the ones that Aaron watched. And they were totally cool. The only thing he had an issue with was the location. Like, really? Mt. Pyre? Talk about creepy. His seal of a Pokemon rolled next to him, ready to use his ice and water attacks on the swarm of pesky Pokemon. Moving around the tombstones of loved ones, he kept a close watch on the tree line, by the branches. Hopefully he'll see one and be able to capture it...last couple of swarms, he hadn't had much luck at all...

Mt. Pyre seemed rather rowdy this time of year. Ah, could she blame the flock of human-sized bats as they went about their business, harassing all and everyone like shadows in the dark. Acting as if the sun's daring rays would never burn them if they decided to change shape and walk among them. Perhaps the redhead should try baring her neck and see if she could lure a pair of fanged mouths out into the open for a sip.

Ah, who was she kidding? These were but poor Gligar and Gliscor threatening the skies, nothing like their immortal, caped counterparts from the movies. "Wonder whether throwing a stake or a silver cross would have any effect…?" She'd mutter softly. Monarch's Zoroark gave her a questionable look, leaving the bounty hunter to shrug in reply.

Maybe just throw something less dangerous instead, before she'd hit an innocent bystander by not-so-accident.

“Thanks for the help Alexei!” Locke said with a bright smile, contrasting the pair’s gloomy surroundings. “I guess even the dead are busy this time of year, huh?”

Mt. Pyre was a frequent stop, with the time between Halloween and Christmas bringing Locke to the gravesite multiple times a week. He and De-De’s arms were overflowing with flowers, incense, and offerings, some of which they tried to pass off to Alexei Ivanov.

Quick as shadows, a dark shape suddenly swooped between the two of them, flying off with a box of homemade dumplings. While normally easy to spook, Locke only gave an exasperated sigh.

“Every year. De-De?” The Delibird responded instantly, taking a sharp breath and exhaling an icy-cold Freeze-Dry at the offending vampire.

It had been a long while since Natsuki had been given the chance to add any more dark children to her horde, well it would be a horde sooner or later so the name was rather fitting. For the eleven children she currently owned adding another sibling here and there wasn’t something she found odd. No more so was probably her addiction to calling them her children and only hording the dark types, though her stash had a few arrays of types. Switching up the line up for her fun little adventure Natsuki had decided to bring along Desdemona (the weavile) and Mimiko ( the froslass) to join her on their new adoption. “I know a lot of bad things have happened with these Pokemon but well a good home always changes everyones outlook” she stated with a rather upbeat tone.

He had come to pay due respects. How could he not? After what he had seen, what he had been through. All the Pokemon he had watched come into this life and then pass on. The least he could do was pay respects. His respects also went to the one who invested in repairs and such, to keep this place the way it needed to be. But it seemed that this peaceful respect would need to wait a bit longer.

A Ranger call had assigned him to come and help drive out some rather spooky fellows. With fangs and wings, they reminded him of those bat-like-man creatures he had seen on TV. Perhaps he would catch one himself as well?

The good thing about this was that it wasn’t evening when they came out here.

The bad news was, how the hell was one supposed to navigate the fucking steep inclines of Mount Pyre while on a wheelchair?! It was hard!

Thankfully Locke Jamison was there to help, even if they had to struggle because of the uneven pavement most of the mountain possessed—

And the shadows of the Gliscor flying overhead really did make him notice. Acting like aerial vampires, fangs sticking out of their mouth—only he wasn’t sure if they sucked blood, or not, who knew—but they definitely did look like vampiric creatures at any rate!

“Oh, come on!” he hollered as one of the nearby Pokémon dive-bombed one of the memorial stones where he’d left some flowers; and chucked a Pokéball at it in an attempt to save the grave marker from being knocked over.

Ever since about half of Hoenn’s population (or what seemed like about half of Hoenn’s population) had gained access to the Unown Report after that thing with the pop-up restaurants, Mt. Pyre had become the regions #1 destination for casually strolling while searching for Unown.

Gliscor was one of those pesky Pokemon without a lot of easily exploitable weaknesses, at least to her. Mostly because it was typed so absurdly. How could something be both flying and ground? These types were abstract enough as was, but made at least some sense nominally. Flying types could fly and did so often, ground ones lived in the ground or were predominantly found there. But this? What was next? Some sparkling vampire being a ghost and fairy type?

That probably existed though. Just like Gliscor. And Megan actually had a useful Pokemon for getting rid of those. Her frozen, moving pile of leaves that was Abomasnow had a lot of fun Ice-punching these things to force them to glide away. The spooky season was over, after all, and they’d make sure any of all wannabe undead were sent away. Or caught, if she happened to knock one out or something. A girl never knew.

Smoldering eyes are drawn to the aura of the batwing scorpions roosting upon Mt. Pyre, his vision piercing the veil of night as fangs do the carotid artery. It is his prerogative to clear them from the mountain, groundskeeper's requests or not, as he is certain to be harried by them whensoever he is to visit the mountain's summit. So, like many others before him, he sets himself to work on clearing away the invasive species.

Luka found herself visiting Mt. Pyre more and more frequently as of late.[break][break]

It was partially to tend to a small plot of carrots that had finally begun to sprout. But mostly, it was for Helios. Her father's Blaziken had been full of grief and anger for years, but he seemed calmer here. Perhaps he was simply mourning, or perhaps he felt some connection to this place of rest. Either way, Luka was more than happy to indulge him. She found their visits comforting too— the gaping rift between herself and Helios was beginning to heal over, little by little.[break][break]

But such peace wasn't always easily come by. Her little garden plot was overrun by Gliscor today, bat-wings spread and fangs glinting like Dracula of lore. It was hardly the romantic image of vampires she liked to indulge herself in.[break][break]

Helios, of course, was none too happy at the interruption. In fact, Luka almost felt bad for the bat-like Pokemon as they hurried away from his flaming beak and swinging talons, disappearing into the night and fading into darkness.
