The rain was dreadful even for the dense canopy of trees overhead. Maybe it wasn't worth coming all the way out here in this awful weather, just to try and snag one of those swarming Goodra popping up on his HNN feed. As he tore his eyes away from his phone, he saw a slime trail along the grass. Eugh... That's f#cking disgusting.

First thing he'd have to do was train it NOT to do that. But that would require him first to catch one, which seemed unlikely as he lined up a pokeball at the only one he'd found in an hour, mindful of the hundred-thousand branches, leaves and sh&t that would muck up his shot.

Here goes...!

"Achoo!" Andrea sneezed adorably. The heavy rain had made her dragon-like costume all wet and sticky. Still, she felt compelled to check out this Goodra swarm that everyone was talking about, because... Goodra were so cute! So friend-shaped, so gooey, so SLIMY!

The extremely tall grass rustled. A wild Pokémon was about to jump out! Andrea didn't even wait to see whether it was a Goodra or one of its pre-evolutions, immediately siccing Chomper on it. "Go, Chomper! Use Outrage!" Her Deino was enveloped in an aura of draconic energy, crashing into the obscured creature and knocking it out. Afterwards, Chomper emerged from the grass coated in a thick layer of viscous SLIME.

"Oof... Don't worry, I'll give you a bath later." The dragon-hooded girl assured him, before picking a spare PokéBall that she'd found lying on the ground, and throwing it at the nearly fainted, yet-to-be-made-out Pokémon.

Something heavy and unlike the ceaseless rain fell upon his umbrella with a plop, causing Mars to look up and through the fabric see a ball of slime the size of a first sliding down until falling to the grass as if an amorphous blob.

Apparently so, and because of it Mars made a mental note to stay under his umbrella at all times. Better to try to catch one of those shiny Goodra or Goomy and get out of here before his nice suit ends up covered in slime.

Caught out in the rain, Rae and BURST the GENGAR found some cover in a cave to avoid getting wet. Rae’s sitting at the mouth of the cave, looking out over the jungle as the rain falls. [break]

Burst sneaks up behind her and licks her face, leaving her covered in a layer of SLIMY saliva. She makes a face before scooping it up, throwing it back at the Gengar. It passes right through as Burst snickers. [break]

Her phone buzzes with a notification. Pokemon were swarming, huh? She pops to her feet, a smile on her face. Now this seems like some fun. She and Burst run out, ready to take on the swarm.

Many would find the swarm's influence a nuisance, but the exhilaration of being present among such power left Elisabeth in good humor and high spirits. "What do you think, Bryony?" she asked the Vileplume at her side. "Shall we teach these Goodra some manners?"[break][break]

With a little twirl of her rafflesia petals, Bryony brightened at her trainer's request; as always, the Pokemon seemed to know what Elisabeth desired without asking. Fortree City was one of those almost-touristy places: a weird, novelty town where everyone lived in treehouses. It was the kind of place that didn't exist anywhere else, least of all near a big city like Castelia. And that was why Wicke was here, to do a little sightseeing for himself and his viewers.[break][break]

He just hadn't counted on the rain.[break][break]

"It's not always like this, is it?" he said from under the makeshift cover that was his jacket. "There's no way they climb up the ladders to their treehouses in weather like this. It's gotta be way too sli—whoop!" On cue, his foot hit a patch of vaguely green slime and he went tumbling ass over teakettle. The Rotom Phone, as was its job, followed the action closely and caught every embarrassing second on stream. "Ow... oh ew."

A rumor of a swarm of rare dragon types is what caught the raven haired woman’s attention. Although the dragon wasn’t really her type, a recent development has learned that slimy dragon species of groodra line might have been a steel type back in the day. Now steel, was her type. Curiosity has driven her to investigate the rare dragon, a swarm would provide more information that just one.

Traveling to route 120 was easy enough. And really, finding the swarm was pretty easy too. There wasn’t many slimy creatures in that area after all. Her careful green gaze observed the dragon from afar, taking mental notes of the ones that were different colored from the rest. Although those were more luckily just your run of the mill shiny pokemon, could those be a clue to this new type?

The raven haired woman grunted, moving to get closer. And when close to one, Genesis reached into her pocket to summon her own beast. The mimikyu materialized before her, drawling the attention of a few of the dragon. Smirking, the team rocket motioned with a nod for it to attack. The fairy and ghost type PLAY ROUGH with a few of them before the stronger ones got involved. Snickering, Genesis tossed an empty ball into the crowd of weakened dragons. Fingers crossed that she could capture one and snatched it before the whole swarm decided to attack them.

Fascinating, fascinating. Shizue briefly smelled the goo on her finger, before dropping the sample into her container she’d brought. Goodra good looked interesting. That kind of slime was not necessarily poisonous by itself, but it had some very interesting attributes. It could possibly serve as a catalyst or carrying mechanism. Much like the Pokemon it came from could learn quite a few decent poison moves.

Honestly she was just interested in studying this slime. That was why she picked up whatever she could for future utilization. At worst, she was wasting some time. But maybe she could make this slime work for Rocket, too. And maybe she could find herself a live specimen to throw a ball at and maybe catch. That would be an even better way to study this.

The command for a BLIZZARD is enthusiastically met, resulting in a plummeting of the local temperature which turns the nearby rain into a torrent of icy shards to pelt the swarm.

Finding himself quite lost, he was somewhere near Fortee City although he wasn't looking for the latter location, Dovac at least found company in his only Water-Type Pokemon who walked by his side. This Pokemon being his Psyduck dubbed Duckpsy, a rather aloof Pokemon in that when he wasn't doing what he was told he was typically relaxing somewhere, though this shouldn't be confused for laziness. Stumbling across a gathering of Trainers Dovac would spring into action however, immediately assuming a Pokemon Swarm was close.

With his luck they'd indeed find the swarm among the Trainers, using his Poke Dex Dovac would also discover information on the Goodra line. And then it was time to battle, " Let's go Duckpsy, use Confusion on that slimy thing! "

Watching on then Dovac would take in the entire act of his Pokemon's Psychic-Type powers, using it's everlasting headaches to fuel it's capabilities. Because of this the duck would release a cloud of Psychic-Type energy around it's opponent, aiming to not only damage it, but also attempting to confuse it. Despite it being early into the battle Dovac was one not to waste time, whether the Confusion landed or not he'd already be preparing a Poke Ball to lob after the target creature, releasing it just as the Psychic-power surrounded the slimy Pokemon nearby. Summoned into the Poke Ball with red energy Dovac would cross his fingers in anticipation, hoping he was able to capture it.

Garbed in a rain poncho and hood, the royal navigates the storm atop his towering AURORUS, BLANCHE. Word had come of a Goodra swarm that had recently been flooded out of their den by the rain. In an effort to help keep them from causing Fortree's destruction, the Galarian ambassador went out to ensure they stayed back.

With a natural talent for freezing things (REFRIGERATE), Blanche found it easier than normal this time around thanks to the rain. The slimey dragon's were no match for the gusts of frost she sent across the terrain (FREEZE-DRY). At one point, Remiel thought he spotted something unusual about one of the frozen Goodra.

So he produced a luxury ball from his pack, the only one he'd brought along, in fact, and tossed it.

By now she is soaked through to the skin. She shivers, desperately clinging to the flimsy newspaper she's using as an umbrella. It hadn't worked then and it certainly doesn't work now that it's a wet mop. Frankly, she doesn't even know why she's here. She doesn't like dragons, not anymore.

But the curiosity and her brother's annoyingly excited tone whispers at the back of her mind. He would have loved this-- and he would have come prepared for the rain.

For the better part of twenty minutes, Remi has been following a trail of slime. The gooey mess sticks to the bottom of her boots, leaving perfect slimy boot treads behind. Her other hand is buried in her pocket both to keep it warm and to grip the empty pokeball. She tightens her grip, rounding the corner just in time to find the swarm.

They seem oblivious to the people crowding around, more than happy to bask in the downpour. Their gelatinous jelly bodies wiggle in tandem, their laughter almos contagious. Too bad Remi's a sour-puss.

Okay, he was bored—like really, really bored.

Shame he couldn’t bring his weapon around because people were always on high alert—he had never felt so naked his entire life.

And so he decided to hike out away from Lilycove, following the path and—heading into a torrential downpour. But there were people who were attacking a certain gathering of Pokémon that had appeared amongst the rain…
