Down Josh's own wife went to the dreaded Magikarp Splash attempt. Josh casually waved towards Izumi as he watched her plummet. They were running out of opportunities to pull this off, and quite frankly, he was running out of patience. He didn't know why he was still trying this, but it had drained all amount of optimism from him. Seriously, why was he still even trying?

Despite repeated failure at the MAGIKARP SPLASH's timing, Shalin was in good spirits. What mattered to her was being able to feel the tactile motion of the Mantine flailing about like a Magikarp. Who cares about what some referee said? To her, every run where she could goad the Mantine into the flailing motion was a success!
