[break][break]Julia explained all of this with a smile, but honestly, she was tired of having to explain this to people when they saw her prosthesis. At least Angus was quick to accept her explanation and didn't press her about it. It was just for safety reasons, he explained. But with that out of the way, he was just as eager to teach Julia as she was to learn.

[break][break]With the lessons done, Julia was ready for the big time! Or as "big time" as a person could get as one of many people doing tricks in front of the crowd. She'd keep it simple for her first trick, just a simple Gorebyss Spin. She gave the Mantine she was riding a little pat on the head. "Ready?" she asked. The Mantine made a dooting sound in response. "All right, let's go!"

[break][break]The duo rode out into the waves and quickly found one tall enough to do tricks off of. They rode up and down it a few times until they'd built up enough momentum to jump from the crest. Julia held on tight, and the Mantine began to spin. One, two, three spins to the left before a double barrel roll, and then land with a splash! Julia grinned. Easy peasy!

it shouldn't really be a question on how many times kyle is willing to do it, but how many times does he need to try in order to perfect the move.

he gets on the mantine again after the last try. an over-the-gyarados shouldn't be too hard given that a lot of people have already done it. he's not special, but it shouldn't be a too difficult of a trick if there's more than three people that have already achieved such feat.
