Today, though, the Pokémon was sunning himself on a nearby rock while she took another dive underwater.

He knew that Ryujin was giving him the equivalent of the stink-eye now.

“What? I only have one more trick to land and then… it’s insanity time!” he quipped, wondering why his companion was so cheesed as she huffed his way, before diving into the salty brine,

“Wait for me, geez!” he called after her, snapping on the goggles and following the dual-type.

“I believe you, I believe you! Salt water is just… ew,” he hissed as he pouted at the mention of the Wingull floaties.

“Did you, or did you not get these for me?” he continued with his incredible attempt at a pouting face. Oh boy.

“I like them!”

Down he went, into the deep, slowly, slowly, incredibly slowly because he didn’t want to shock himself for another dive.

(Maybe there was an advantage of being tall, he could move his foot around and grab whatever he managed to graze…)
