Further chaos does the trick, in snapping Makoto from their trance. It is hard to be frozen in one's fear and nausea as the ground rumbles with further conflict - the Kyurem's flames bathing across the earth.

Tsukiko's Aurora Veil is able to protect the both of them from the worst of it - the flames licking at the snow around them, sending steam rising...

... But what they're shocked to see then, is that a number of pokemon are being thawed in the wake of the dragon's fire. Onji included. The Delphox drops to his knees, heaving and panting, but - as his gaze meets Makoto's, they both understand that he is okay. That he's alive and well, even if singed by the flames.

"Thank Arceus..." They breathe softly - relief filling them with emotion...

... Though, it seemed that the fire would not be the end of their troubles, if the Paradox Pokemon beginning to emerge were of any indication.

The flames of the FUSION FLARE spark vague familiarity in ZEKROM. He can sense a former calling to a greater purpose. An energy thrums throughout his black scales, beckoning him to become a part of a larger whole again. But if he wasn't himself anymore... who or what would he become? Indignantly, the BLACK YIN roars in the face of this fire.[break][break]

It isn't long before the situation surrounding them changes, however. Below, the battlefield is swarmed by strange paradoxical forms of the SWORDS OF JUSTICE trio. Remiel spots in the chaos. He can see as well. Ultimately, he chooses to assist his former lover over returning a long-due attack on his former ally.[break][break]

Though an IRON BOULDER seeks to pierce through her defenses with a MIGHTY CLEAVE, the black dragon descends upon it with a STEEL WING. When it tumbles away and succumbs to the blow, the royal sharply turns to the pink-haired lass.[break][break]

Heroes must return to slay giants. Was Kyurem trying to warn them about one of Hoenn’s future epic battles, or was the colossal dragon itself one of the giants that needed to be slain?

Sweltering heat engulfed the Icelands, thawing out Andrea’s Pokémon, who went back inside their Pokéballs. The small horse that had assisted the Hoennians transformed into a stronger form, cutting the incoming Fusion Flare in half with its great horn. One half headed in the eccentric trainer’s general direction, who was blinded by the light emanating from the shimmering quarry below.

Suddenly, her Salamencite glowed like it hadn’t done in over a year. Crimson wings sliced through the air. The draconic cosplayer was scooped up at the last second by a figure moving at supersonic speed. As she pried her eyes open, she couldn’t believe the thing she saw.

“Meatloaf?!?!”

Her original Salamence, one of the first Pokémon she’d caught in the wild, had miraculously come back from its cryogenic slumber, albeit with some burns covering its scaly frame. Maintaining its Mega Evolution, the azure dragon carried its trainer on its back as if not even a day had passed.

“Meatloaf, you’re back! You’re ba-a-a-a-ack!” The young PokéManiac cried tears of joy, wrapping her arms around the Mega Salamence’s neck. Their heartfelt reunion was cut short by a shower of Tera Crystals being hurled their way. The fight was still on, they couldn’t afford to celebrate right now.

“Sorry to make you do this after you just came back, but I need you to evade those flying chunks!” The dragon rider said, Meatloaf responding with a resolute roar. He was in fact elated that the first moments of his rejuvenation would be spent in glorious combat. With a Dragon Dance, the pseudo-legendary deftly maneuvered past the falling debris.

And yet, their troubles had not yet passed, for Andrea could spot a horde of futuristic Paradox Pokémon emerging from the giant chasm and wreaking havoc on an already chaotic battlefield. “What are those? I’ve never seen these Paradoxes before…” The girl muttered.

One moment, he was running - running with a renewed vigor, every fibre of his being intent on reaching the Kyurem and giving it hell - the next, he was falling.[break][break]
The ground heaved violently beneath his feet with an agonized groan, and Caleb tripped, pitching forward into a newly formed chasm. Hex bellowed in pain, and Caleb instinctively grabbed his Pokeball, returning him. The Ranger had already lost one companion to the blizzard, he would not lose another.[break][break]
So he fell. Alone.[break][break]
Wind rushed at him as he careened into the depths of the earth. Spikes of sharp crystal glittered in the grey-blue light of the never-ending winter, and Caleb realized that this was it - this was how he died. After all the torture, the wars in Galar, the fights with his brother, the sins he'd committed - this was how it happened. He supposed there was a certain expected irony to that: he'd tried to die so many times, the desire of a guilty conscience, but the moment he decided to actually give a shit - to live - the universe decided to end him.[break][break]
Oddly, he felt at peace with that. He hadn't been afraid of death before and he wasn't now. There was something sweet in it, he realized. Something that tasted just a little bit like redemption.[break][break]

He shut his eyes, gave into gravity, and waited for the pain with a sorrowful acceptance.[break][break]

Caleb's body slammed into...something. The pain of being impaled on a Tera crystal did not come. Instead, he was met with a triumphant, throaty roar. Cracking one eye open, he saw that he'd been caught by a massive Pokemon. Grizzled, scarred, and trailing frost, the dragon leered back at him, eyes gleaming with an ageless wisdom.[break][break]
"Lyune," he remembered, heart swelling.[break][break]
Caleb fumbled to right himself, struggling with a strange - harness? stirrups? - mechanism attached to the beast. They hovered there, above the spikes that would surely have skewered Caleb, and all around them, bizarre mechanical creatures began to manifest. And they looked pissed.[break][break]
"I've seen you in action, friend," he rumbled to the dragon that had saved his life. "I know you can take 'em." He paused, then bowed his head, touching his cheek to scales so cold they burned his skin. "Thank you. I am in your debt."[break][break]

As the ominous words of the prophecy rang out in the air, Kyurem's FUSION FLARE lit up the battlefield. Zev stood in front of to protect her, but thankfully, Keldeo's expert maneuver redirected the enormous flame away from them. [break][break]

A familiar roar heralded the return of Zev's Charizard, badly burned. He recalled her into a Pokéball, turning just in time to catch sight of strange Pokémon crawling out of the nearby chasm. [break][break]

Team Rocket's comms crackled to life in his ear. Both and ordered attacks, though from Zev's position, he watched as they targeted different foes. mentioned the Swords of Justice, but Zev couldn't say he knew what they were, either. [break][break]

It didn't matter. A swarm of the mechanical Pokémon rushed at him, Nenet, and . [break][break]

"Hatterene, defend our position!" Zev shouted. The witch teleported before the trio and their Pokémon and lashed out with her tentacle in a BRUTAL SWING. [break][break]

Just as Roy thought he had a break; a giant wave of fire came crashing down on them. As both he and Balmung go to flinch, a newly-transformed unicorn leaps from the terrain below to fend off the attack. The resulting collision brought a sudden heat to the environment which destroyed every remaining icy prison. This meant his snail was free.

With Balmung as his steed, Roy navigated to his previous position to retrieve his ancient snail. Like before, he leaped off his dragon and used his heels to brace the fall. Aegis was still alive, but now she was burnt. He quickly recalled her with a ball from his pocket.

Before he's given a chance to leave, Roy and his charizard are confronted by a new threat. Before them stands a new robotic creature they've never seen before. The monster attacks immediately and Balmung retaliates to defend his trainer. They engage in combat and exchange blows that melt away the remaining snow around them.

everyone is here to fight and priam is no different. some do it with rage against the force of nature thrown upon them by hoopa and kyurem. others do it to survive. priam? he's here to do it to show off his pokemon.

it was, indeed, priaming time.

with one hand holding onto the braviary for priam's dear life, the other points to a cluster of paradox pokemon.

a hurricane starts in the bottom of the chasm, blowing away some of them to other people and indirectly delivering more of them to those that wanted to brawl.

he could listen to the comms, but a lot of instructions muddled each other from voices overlapping and made more chaos than what they have on the battlefield.

tl;dr
  • fights down the chasm
  • braviary uses hurricane to blow the paradox pokemon to people
  • can't understand comms bc of chaos

Rather than allowing himself to be pulled back, he watched in silent shock as the little Josh instead decided to charge forward, straight into the heart of the fray…

“Are you kidding me?!” he exclaimed in Italian Alto Marean, his voice going so high only Zubat could hear him at this point.

“Why the fuck… ugh,” he grumbled a few moments afterward as he then pinched the bridge of his nose; the better to calm himself down. Yeesh.

He then fought his way back over to where his Volcarona was still circling around cousin dearest, keeping her as warm as possible.

“Okay, change of—plans,” he yelled her way because there was such a mess going on—with the metallic… whatever those were running around and trying to cleave indiscriminately at the closest human that they could attack—he tilted his head in the direction of the strange Paradox Pokémon.

“Are you game to lay the smackdown with Gron’s Divine Gravity thing on those things? They’re attacking everything and everyone they can reach!” he grumbled as the Volcarona let out a hissing kind of noise; before releasing a Wave of Heat to repel any would-be attackers…

Another segment of the prophecy appears as the battle rages on, much to Oscar's annoyance. "How long is this fuckin' thing!?" He would wonder aloud as he once again switched pokemon. Xurkitree would be replaced by Prime the Genesect, who was Oscar's best bet for getting some damage done against the deity duo.

Yet a twist would occur before Oscar could make another command. Kyurem would unleash an attack unlike any that Oscar had seen before. It was a blast of fire so powerful that Oscar could feel its heat before it fully manifested. If not for the Keldeo that split the blast in two, Kyurem's attack would have surely incinerated most of the lifeforms present.

Oscar stayed in the middle to avoid the split blast, along with and--the masked woman he seemed to have an interest in? No not an interest, an infatuation. Was this the mythical wife he had mentioned during the winter party? Part of her face was exposed during combat, but Oscar would make an active effort not to look. Zev deserved to retain a bit of privacy after all of this.

As the attack died down and orders came in from , Oscar was prepared to push forward to keep the pressure on Kyurem and Hoopa. Before he could even announce his intentions though, a loud cry would draw his attention. A scorched Robbie Rotten would crash land in front of Oscar, wiggling and whining as steam poured from his body. Oscar jumped at his dragon's sudden reappearance, but as his shock settled he would find himself glad to see him thawed. "You did good Robbie, take a break." Robbie would raise one of his claws, contorting them to create a gesture resembling a thumbs up.

Oscar returned Robbie to his beast ball, but this distraction cost him time. Unfamiliar robotic pokemon had appeared out of nowhere, and a hoard of them were charging toward him, Zev, and the woman. Oscar groaned, "This is what I get for looking away for two fuckin' seconds. Let's go Prime!" Prime nodded, charging alongside his master to do battle with the mysterious robot threat.

[attr="class","cam"]A sudden HURRICANE almost knocked Camellia from the ledge she was climbing down, clinging onto the rocks with a tight grasp. Anais's shield, luckily, dulled some of the force from 's BRAVIARY'S attack.

When she hit the rocks, she huffed at him. "Dude, bad timing," she said with a small scowl.

Now, at the bottom of the chasm with another individual, she was able to begin attacks on the Paradox Pokemon that emerged, releasing the shields and having the RUNERIGUS to attack with SHADOW BALLS in every which direction they came.

"Watch your left!" she warned Priam.

As Aslan led the way down the Terastal Chasm's slippery slope, the rest of Josh's pride following, his head turned as and his Braviary zoomed past. followed soon after, the Gym Leader waving to her.

The slope was like being on a giant ice slide, the rider having to rein his mount around Terastal Crystals jutting out of the wall. They seemed ready to skewer him if he made a wrong move. With a NOBLE ROAR, Josh let out a primal bellow, rallying the Pokémon around him and perhaps chilling the fighting spirits of the paradox Pokémon they were about to land near.

One was waiting for Sarabi: an IRON BOULDER sliced at her with a MIGHTY CLEAVE, felling her in an instant. Not wanting to see a second one of his lions die so soon after losing his precious Nala, he ordered his mount to CRUNCH into the strange Pokémon before him, his loud voice made more so through his Sygna Suit.

Doug was thrown high in the air, his stomach doing flips as he gazed over the battlefield.

"Her temper's as nasty as her personality." He grumbled as he continued to rise, realizing that his ascent was beginning to slow down.

This wasn't too bad a spot to be in— He could see everything go down in HD from up there.

"!!!" There it was!

He narrowed his eyes at the Djinn, before the feeling of rushing air brought his attention back to his circumstances— and the fast approaching mass of ice as he began to plummet.

"Right." He muttered, palming a net ball.

TL;DR:
-Dawg gets chucked high in the air, sees everything go down, I totally didn't forget to post consistently here.
-grabs a ball, prepares to go chase the djinn.

For a moment, just a a brief moment with Lars by her side, she had played with the thought that maybe she would not have to forego the innocent and the weak to focus on the monster. Others could surely handle it!

But she was wrong. Flames clad the battlefield as Prophecies were uttered, not that they made much sense to her. And Hoppa was causing problems too!

She found herself pinching the bridge of her nose in best fashion. She wasn’t even surprised at this point. And now Robots! She didn’t even know if it was robots, but it sure looked like it and she didn’t like it!

“Sure! But be warned it will hit EVERYTHING around Gron.” Elinor warned as she switched from Salamence to Aggron. And as the Aggron took to the field, so too did her attire change as her Sygna Suit went from inactive to the active. Admittedly she looked more like an Aggron-knight than a Ranger at this point.

“Prepare yourself, here it comes! DIVINE GRAVITY”



For a split second a ripple of energy passed around Aggron and its vicinity both into the air and along the ground. And then it began.

Gravity suddenly grew crushing, forcing Pokemon in the air around it down if they were not strong enough to fight the gravity. But that was not all. Even those Pokemon, Paradox or not, capable of fighting the gravity they would feel the sustained damage heavy, blunt and crushing.

Elinor only prayed she had calculated correctly and there wouldn’t be too much collateral.
