The tropical storm that ravaged the area, flooding parts of the river, threatening to destroy bridges, toxic chain seeping into the water and threatening the water pokemon... It was all enough to draw attention to route 119 already. It seemed peculiar though, given the other instances of the toxic chain's influence, almost like it were out of place? What was causing all of this?[break][break] Having already seen a handful of Pokemon capable of summoning terrible storms, not unlike the pokemon that swept through the skies during the VCT tournament, Yuina stumbled through the beating rains with Omura. Much like Centos, and much like her own Pokemon that she cared so much for like Daikenki, Yuina had never wished ill against the Pokemon that lurked in the depths of the great chasm. They were ripped through time in one way or another, forced to exist in a place that was not their own, and now that they were here, they deserved to be understood, studied, cared for... Otherwise they would only be seen as the monsters that the surface made them out to be...[break][break] Yuina had already grown quite fond of the fire type, and in a way, she felt like she had a greater understanding for how to connect with him... He wasn't unlike an alpha Pokemon, donning great power and primal instincts that were only natural to him... He shouldn't be faulted for that. Respect went two ways, and Yuina was pleased to feel like she had earned Omura's with just a little bit of extra empathy for his circumstances.[break][break] After all, in the grand scheme of things, she wasn't supposed to be here either. She could relate...[break][break] The distressing sounds of a Pokemon in the distance caught Yuina's attention, and narrowly missing being struck by a mist ball that rushed through the air, she found two very similar looking Pokemon to each other, one red and one blue. But the red one was afflicted by a toxic chain, and in a way seemed to be fighting the effects of it? Or very much trying to.[break][break] Omura roared, swinging the crest of his head as he tried to summon Sunny Day, any attempt to break through the beating rains so that Yuina could try to get to the red Pokemon. It didn't break the storm entirely, but just enough that the tropical storm broke up into more of a drizzle, at least for a time.[break][break] Yuina was careful to approach, she didn't want to upset the blue Pokemon that was distressed and worried over its afflicted friend? Sibling? She wasn't sure, but either way she made herself known, her empathy clear. At this point Yuina almost always carried one of Daikenki's seamitars with her now, and trying her best to work with the red Pokemon, she made an attempt at cutting away as much of the toxic chain as she could. Within Omura's power of sunny day, the ceratops bellowed again and used Morning Sun to help, anything to try and break the toxic chain's hold.[break][break] Eventually Yuina stood, splattered with mud and soaked through to the bone, but the red Pokemon was freed from the chain that had taken hold over it. Yuina stood back, allowing the blue Pokemon to assess that it's companion was free, and in a blink of an eye the two swept off into the air.
