ANGELO'S BABY!!!

Latios and Latias were angelo vestri's friends, whether they were still a avatar or not.

"Lele." Doug intoned atop his Flygon, eyes narrowed as he was buffeted by the horrid weather.

A tropical storm at this moment was horrible timing, he could scarcely think while the wind threatened to throw right off his dragon.

Still— his hat rose right off his head as Lele casually popped from under it, humming in question.

"Help her." He pleaded with his matron, looking up at her with a tense jaw.

For a moment, Lele regarded him silently, doing little to show she had even heard him.

And then she launched off his head and towards Latios and Latias, eyes aglow as her Psychic surge exploded outwards, her psychic touch reaching out towards the toxic chains.

The Ranger Cadet and his Charmander companion hanged onto the soaked ropes of the bridge as a sudden gale threatened to send them to a watery grave below. Tropical rain continued to downpour, each drop slamming into the pair and the Pokemon attempting to escape the horrendous weather as they ran across the slippery bridge. Michael was not only worried for his safety, but for the wellbeing of the Charmander and the flame at the tip of her tail. As much as he wanted to keep her in her Pokeball, Eimyrja refused as she, too, wanted to help.

"This weather's no good!" Michael shouted over the blustery winds. "We'll need to clear it up! Use Sunny Day, Eimyrja!"

Despite being near soaked to the bone, the Charmander gave a confident nod to her human. She bellowed toward the sky above. In moments, the rain subsided and the darkened clouds parted while returning to their normal white color.

The sun's rays shined brightly down upon the area as the weather cleared. Steadily, the two made their way across the bridge and entered the clearing beyond the chasm. Michael and Eimyrja could not believe their eyes.

The legendary Pokemon, Latias, lay hindered by Toxic Chains. Their partner, Latios, frantically hovered over their friend. The pair knew what they had to do. Others who had come to help were targeting the chains themselves. His feelings of whimsy and wonder became overshadowed by the guild and despair he felt for the Legendary.

"Sorry, Latias," Michael pleaded, "but we need to get those chains off of you. Eimyrja! Use Slash to break those chains! Be careful not to hurt them, okay?"

"Char Char!" Eimyrja acknowledged!

The determined fire salamander charged forth to assist her fellow partnered Pokemon. With a mighty slash with glowing claws, she attempted to break the chains that held the Latias down!

Neon moves to the front, eagerly watching and monitoring Latias before deigning to help her. The data on the Eon Duo was rare given their lack of avatars and how elusive they were in personality. Even in myth they were hard to pin down. "I wonder if the mochi have some sort of amplification and corruption effect on the infinity energy. Maybe its drawn to it somehow." He said to his partner, as he recorded footage for analysis later. The archive of the toxic chained pokemon grew, but it was perhaps a little distressing even legendaries could fall prey to it.

Then again, legendqry pokemon weren't infallible. One only had to think of Cillian Quinn 's Lugia, corrupted in her shadowy might. He tooka step forward, stumbling slightly as he began to feel dizzy. His Weezing helps him strady before it is sent off to blast the Latias with HEAT WAVE.

The fact that Latias, a Legendary, could get infected, did not come as encouragement. Hideo already didn't know what Uxie was up to when these toxic chain attacks came by, and he at least knew it came back to him each time, but now he had to worry about Uxie potentially getting infected too.

Hideo didn't go out to help break the Legendary's chain, though; that uncomfortable sensation that was hitting him whenever he went to these was back in full force, and he'd have to push himself to keep up with Latias's speed.

Plus, his sweater soaked up rain like a sponge, and that Tropical Rain would have him on the ground if he stayed in it too long.

For the time being, he'd help keep the Institute safe from the weather, his Scream Tail helping dampen the weather with a Sunny Day. Helped keep the place dry - and just as importantly, safe from getting blown over.

He could be proud that he'd gotten his Scream Tail to listen to him…though he was a bit concerned about the Feebas it just deposited on his lap.

At least it was still alive.
