IN THE DESERT, hordes of TOXIC CHAINED RABSCA have appeared. They hover above the sands, upside down and cradling a reddish pink interlayered ball. Within these orbs, a Rabsca infant slumbers and grows inside; however, a horrible fate has befallen them. Instead of larvae, the TOXIC CHAIN sprouts out of these cocoons like prehensile claw machines.[break][break]

It appears the RABSCA believe their infants to be alive still, or perhaps they are working in auto-pilot. Regardless, they will be hostile to those who approach, using SPEED SWAP to stall your trainers and their Pokemon.

The Rabsca were a problem, but not for Toxtricity, who was eager and well-performing during the troublesome season of poisonous events. Toxtricity used shift gear and overdrive to amp up the pressure and speed while he assaulted a series of Rabsca. The punk rocker even followed up with boom burst to blast the troublesome bugs away. "Take it easy!" Robin insisted from afar. She was on Snorlax, sitting on his shoulders, as she had become sick from all the poison exposure and needed distance and fresh air where possible.

"Don't tire out before the job's done!" Despite her words, Toxtricity moved faster than ever to bring the pesks down.

Immediatelly, Effie and Saude surge forward - Effie gives Saude Tailwind, and the Emolga wants to charge forward, but- huh. As the Rabsca uses Speed Swap, they feel themselves slower than before, with the Rabsca surging forward. She could only hope that Thea Naito might be quicker because she's frozen right now.

He’s minding his own business, he really is. But Benji is starting to wonder if he’s crossed some person or creature, and they’ve decided to outright plague him. Rabsca scuttle across the sand at a furious pace, forcing him to take off running back the way he came.[break][break]

And of course, because he can’t stay upright on his own two feet, his shoes skid and catch in the loose silt and he absolutely eats it.[break][break]

“You’re no help!” he bemoans his furret, who is having a grand time chasing the little beetles. But he’s unaware of what Milo is actually doing—warding the aggressive and territorial creatures away from his trainer. Benji spits sand from his mouth as the pink noodle amps up his AGILITY and darts out at the last one, pouncing on it with a proud chirp for making the successful catch.[break][break]

“Oh dip? That was actually a good snag.” The furret promptly smacks the rabsca across the sand, and the rest take the hint—moving to go pick on someone else too close to their nests. Ben, meanwhile, rolls back to his feet with more complaint. Ready to make a swift exit before they get chased by even more bugs.

Delilah rose from where she had been lounging by the costume trailer, concerned by shouts of panic coming from the movie set in the distance. Figures could be seen scrambling about, flashes of light as Pokemon were released onto the sand.[break][break]
"Are we being attacked?" She wondered aloud in disbelief, turning to call out for Fletcher Hyland - and realizing immediately that he wasn't there. Because of course he wasn't. He didn't accompany her to filming sessions. That would be silly, wouldn't it?[break][break]
Well, maybe not.[break][break]
Very well, she'd handle this herself. Donning a sun hat, the actress stepped out of the shade and into the hot desert sun. With a flick of her wrist, she released Mitra. Together, they began to hurry towards the film crew. Cameras and other equipment had toppled over because of - what were those? Rabsca? - hovering above the fake ruins constructed for the movie. Something seemed off about this, Rabsca didn't just - [break][break]

Delilah tripped, falling into a PIT TRAP. Her Musharna floated down, expression concerned. "What the HELL?" She cursed, rubbing her lower back. A Trapinch peered down at her with its beady eyes and she looked up at it with obvious disdain.[break][break]
Pulling out her phone, she began to desperately search for a wireless signal. Realizing Mitra was still with her, she glanced up, eyes wild.[break][break]
"Go and help them!" She ordered.[break][break]
Fletcher better answer his damn phone.

The horde of Rabsca encroached toward Mauville, threatening the city and the Champion's Gym just as an exhibition race was about to start up. Receiving an urgent email regarding the TOXIC CHAINED swarm, Josh ordered an emergency delay to spring into action. Such Pokémon would not invade his city on his watch.

Hopping onto Raikiri's saddle, the Zeraora sped toward the desert sands with extreme AGILITY, though it did not push Josh to the limits it once did thanks to his training with Swift, the Raikou hidden in his RAINBOW FEATHER.

As soon as he was on the scene, several of them readied SPEED SWAP against the thundercat. Such a cheap trick would not work on him; if there was anyone that knew how to counter those that tried to siphon speed, it was Josh. With a QUICK ATTACK, Raikiri rammed into one, causing its sphere to roll out of control across the sands.

He arrived in a rush, almost as much as his poor author that had to type on the phone.

"Go, Baji!" He said as he released his net ball, his forretress popping into the field besides him.

He had heard the reports before arriving— about the fate of the larvae, and the Rabsca.

He felt strongly for their unfortunate circumstances.

"Faster!" He ordered Baji, the forretress swiftly discarding it's steel carapace, eyes aglow as it accelerated towards its fellow bugs.

TL;DR:
Baji used autotomize. 5 mochi get.

Yumi dashed as quickly as she could across the desert sands, panting heavily. She had gotten too close to a Rabsca swarm raising their young, and several of the insects had charged at her. [break][break]

But the loose sand made running all the more difficult. She couldn't get enough momentum or speed thanks to the soft ground. [break][break]

Opening a Pokéball, Yumi cried out, "Hibiki! Get us out of here!" [break][break]

It seemed that there was little that could be done to save the larvae that the Rabscaba would usually carry... But the Rabscaba themselves could still be saved and healed after being afflicted with the toxic chains that spurned them.[break]
They were hostile, they were attacking without pretense because of the influence the toxic chain was holding over them, and until they could be properly handled, they needed to be at least rendered immobile at minimum.[break][break]
A mask to cover her face from both the harsh sands of the desert and the permeating toxins that she was feeling the effects of more and more each time she stepped into these terrible events, Yuina trudged through the desert with her Brambleghast. The tumbleweed made easy work of rolling across the sandy dunes and using Rollout to knock the rabscaba prone, in hopes that they could be gathered and taken for rehabilitation.

The effect of the TOXIC CHAINS on the Rabsca was a little creepy, but it wouldn't deter him from trying to corral the beetle pokemon and send them back like new. "Get ready for them to disperse." he warned his Onix as the rock pokemon used ROCK POLISH.

His Onix roared as it seemed to shine and reflect back the sun's beating rays before the snake like pokemon took off through the dunes herding the poisoned Rabsca before trapping them all in a SAND TOMB, letting the sudden winds knock off the toxic chains and hopefully keep them from reattaching.

Sailor stood back as they watched other trainers tackling the Rabsca swarm. They note someone who seemed familiar leaving on the back of a Crobat but stay their ground, "Deal with any that get too close." Is the only command given to Obstagoon and Weezing.[break][break]
They don't have a way to deal with speed-swap but Sailor spotted some Trapinch traps and grinned, "Lead them this way, we can use this to our advantage." Sai said to their 'mons. The trio backed up and the Rabsca, unaware of what laid in store for them, fell victim to the Trapinch waiting under the sand.[break][break]
Sai took this as a chance to back up further, so they could observe and send information back to HQ. They did take a cheeky selca with a trapped Rabsca to send to Fen.

As the duo tried to approach, they got slowed down by Speed Swap. "What the fuck!?", Andrew exclaimed.

"Yo, Screech, don't let these fuckers slow you down, Agility!", Andrew ordered.

The Archeops began to build up speed again, finally gaining some momentum, as he rushed towards the Rabsca, to sever the Toxic Chains. Once he could get in close, he'd attempt to sever the chain with Dragon Claw.
