[nospaces] [attr="class","sbody"] [attr="class","ihead"] SURVIVAL BADGE [attr="class","aname2"] OLDALE GYM [attr="class","ipad"] GYM INFORMATION[break][break] Past the peaceful town of Oldale lays the Oldale Gym; one that was only recently built with the renovations of an old, abandoned house in the small and scarce town. She has turned the surrounding forest into the arena for her non-traditional challenges. When not being used as the arena, she has turned it into a natural preserve for the pokemon living in the area. It also houses small pokemon from the trainers living in oldale, or a nice park in the otherwise small town. The gym itself resembles a traditional japanese home, with sliding doors and a small garden in the back. Typically, Ayame invites her challengers into the gym and invites them to tea to ask the details of the challenge. [break][break][break][break] [attr="class","ipad"] REGULATIONS- SIZE LIMIT » So long as no large pokemon involved (i.e. Sttelix, Wailord, etc.), everything and anything is allowed. In the case of an oversized pokemon, the battle will take place outside, and in the surrounding forest area by the town as to not disrupt the other civilians living there.
- BATTLE STYLE » Challenger's choice between single (3v3), double (4v4) or triple (6v6) are available.
- SINGLE » Switching out is prohibited on both parties unless there is a move that forces it. This rule does not apply to double or triple battles.
- PARTY LIMIT » Ranges between three to six pokemon. Three pokemon for single battles, four pokemon for double, and six for triple.
[/b][/font][break][break] - Ayame will not limit herself to one type. She will, primarily, use offensive attacks if not use the environment and her surroundings. Keep this in mind when battling her.
- She's known for taking advantage of status effects when possible.
- Most of her battles will take place in the dark, if not in the nighttime. Proceed with caution.
[/ul] [attr="class","ipad"] NON-TRADITIONAL: SURVIVAL[break][break] An alternative to a traditional battle will be Ayame's survival trail. Once making the decision and asking a few questions after laying fail conditions, Ayame will have the trainer drink laced tea. The trainer's personal items will be stripped from them, and they will be tossed to last a night in the forest on their own, with three of their pokemon. They will be given little introduction, only being told "hunt or survive" before they black out.[break][break] In addition to camping in the forest from scratch, one of Ayame's pokemon will be hiding in dens in numerous paths. Should the trainer have the misfortune of running into them, they need to think of a way to escape or defeat the occupying pokemon. Do keep in mind, however, that it's still nighttime in the forest. If the battling is too loud and wakes up other pokemon, there's a high probability that the moody and agitative pokemon will attack the trainer. [break][break] Should you stay the night until sunrise, you will have succeeded. Ayame will take responsibility on medical expenses and otherwise. [break][break] Should you, for any reason wish to forfeit (three pokemon have fainted, injuries, medical reasons, etc), please light and shoot the flare given to the trainer in the pocket and into the air. Ayame will go over to escort the challenger out. You do not need to forfeit if your pokemon faint at any time of the challenge.[break][break] This challenge will use the site's roll feature to determine whether or not the challenger will encounter a den pokemon (rolls 40 and below will be an encounter), and whether or not the wild pokemon will be awaken by the trainer (rolling lower than 60 will awaken the pokemon. anything lower than 70 when using a sound based move will wake pokemon up). Please roll in every post.[break][break] Remember; not all pokemon are hostile in the forest. You may use the environment as you see fit. [break][break] ***Note: Please start your first post with a roll to determine whether or not you run into the den pokemon, or a pokemon in general.[break][break] You will succeed if:- You stay in the forest the entire night, until sunrise. This constitutes of being able to survive eight rounds outside of an encounter with a den pokemon. After eight, uneventful rounds, pokemon would have fallen asleep and it would be safe to sleep.
- You defeat the den pokemon (the challenger may leave early, as Ayame would have recognized them as a hunter worthy of her badge)
[break][break] You will fail if:- You forfeit
- You leave the forest before sunrise; intentionally or unintentionally
- You use your pokemon for utility: this will automatically disqualify you, and the odds are that Ayame won't escort you out. She'll wait for you to leave on your own before returning your valuables.
- You kill the den pokemon. Doing so will immediately will ban you from entering Ayame's gym. The wild pokemon are free game.
- Your pokemon disfigure, harm, or alter the environment or surroundings. Moves can only be used in battle and cannot be directed at the surrounding forest
[break][break] [attr="class","ipad"] BATTLE REQUESTS[break][break] Due to the large amount of waiting trainers (bless your patient souls), Ayame will not accept further challenges until these have been resolved. Thank you for your understanding!
