Although the gym had seen better days, Francie was quick to pull together her resources from and , managing to get her gym in tip top shape![break][break]

This beautiful and frankly giant stadium holds within its walls a giant maze, with rock walls that reach the ceiling. In the center of the maze lies your prize, the Stone Badge. This stadium is big enough to hold a Wailord, if the maze didn't take up every square inch of the gym. [break][break]

This gym is literally the biggest building in all of Petalburg and the gym trainers within also double as rangers who help patrol Petalburg in an effort to keep it safe. [break][break]

DEAR ROCKETS[break]
If you have a clean 'public' criminal record, just go ahead and sign right up! Otherwise, please note in your introduction that a fake ID is being used with fake name, because that's what Francie'll address you as.

TRADITIONAL BATTLES[break][break]

  • TYPE LIMITATIONS[break]
    ⏣ Single types only, no dual type pokemon.[break][break]

    ⏣ List of banned types:
    fighting, ground, steel, water, grass, bug, ice, flying, fire, poison, and normal.

    ⏣ List of accepted types:
    rock, ghost, electric, psychic, fairy, dragon, and dark.
    [break]

    ⏣ Reason behind type bans: Francie doesn't want type advantages! So that it's a fair fight where strategy has to be used!
  • TRADITIONAL BATTLE OPTIONS[break]
    ⏣ Single battles, with 1 ~ 3 rounds(competitor's choice), 1v1[break]
    ⏣ Double battles, one round, 2v2.
  • BATTLE RULES[break]
    ⏣ I'm not a long poster, don't get mad.[break]
    ⏣ I might be busy with my kids, don't be angry if posts are delayed.[break]
    ⏣ One move per post is really how I like to play it.[break]
    ⏣ Typically I count a dodge as a move, this doesn't have to be law.[break]
    ⏣ If you're new to battling don't worry so am I, please discord with me about the battle![break]
    ⏣ If you lost the battle, please wait one week ooc to challenge the gym again.[break]

NON-TRADITIONAL BATTLES[break][break]

  • WELCOME TO THE MAZE[break]
    ⏣ That's right! It's a maze! This is Francie's preferred way of doing her challenges. She or a gym trainer will go with the competitor through the maze. They will not help the competitor through the maze. They can, however, take the competitor back to the beginning of the gym if necessary; upon failure or forfeit.
  • MAZE REGULATIONS[break]
    ⏣ Do not lose Francie. Francie must cross the finish line with your competitor in order for the finish to count![break]
    ⏣ Only one pokemon may help a competitor through the maze.[break]
    ⏣ The competitor's pokemon is not allowed to damage the maze in any way.[break][break]

    STATUS MOVES ONLY[break]
    if the move causes damage it cannot be used at all[break]
    even if it's not being used for damaging purposes
    [break]

    ⏣ Flying types cannot simply fly over the maze. They can fly through it, but not over, as the maze's solid rock walls reach the ceiling.
    ⏣ If you failed in making it through the maze, please wait one week ooc to challenge the gym again.[break]
  • MAZE: HOW TO[break]
    ⏣ Set up the thread of your competitor coming into the gym, signing up for the maze, and waiting for Francie.[break]
    ⏣ Will respond with Francie; your journey into the maze begins with the very next post.[break]
    ⏣ You will roll with each post.[break]
    ⏣ If you do not hit a total of 200 by page two, your character does not make it through the maze, you fail the challenge. Better luck next time![break]
    ⏣ As far as the maze layout goes, it is ever changing! It could have trap doors, short cuts, or even pokemon within the walls! I encourage you to make each post reflect the roll prior! If you roll big, like 80 or more, find a shortcut! If you roll a 3, fall into a trap or set-back! Use that imagination of yours, do big things.
  • MAZE: CHALLENGES[break]
    ⏣ Sometimes, Francie or the maze will throw you a curve ball, depending on how high you roll.[break]
    ⏣ Anything between the roll of 50 - 99 is subject to a possible challenge! Upon receiving the challenge, competitors will have one post to complete the challenge. Competitors will not roll during this challenge, but only in the following post![break]
    ⏣ Rolling a 100 will net you a battle with Francie, in the middle of the maze, with no rolls until the battle is complete. It will be a single 1v1 battle.
