they had failed utterly in ensuring that the truck was secure and the items contained within were placed within mauville's custody. those precious supplies were now out of reach and likely destroyed, which caused cait to clutch tightly onto the feathers of her flying-type's back. there was little time to lament over their loss, the deadly beams which fired moments later immediately catching her focus.

'oh no.'

she witnessed as her peers fell, the energized shots capable of incapacitating both human and pokemon alike.  both she and braviary were forced to maneuver, the pokemon still energized by the previously executed tailwind. aware of the risks they had found themselves in, cait urged her pokemon to dodge the barrage. the pokemon flapping his strong wings in a desperate bid to carry both himself - or, at the very least - his mistress to safety. 

'no truck - no supplies,' cait thought. 'we have to at least help whoever we can.' 

deciding against abandoning her comrades in favor of fleeing, she'd decide to focus her attentions on the swarm of naganadel that converged. whirlwinds were hastily kicked up in succession, the raw power of wind meant to disorientate the swarm as they engaged with her comrades. 

- cait temporarily retreats in hopes of avoiding the lasers that shoot through the air. 
- she turns her flying-type toward the menacing nagandel swarm.
- braviary uses whirlwind in an attempt to disorientate the swarm and aid her fellow league members.

The flight is more peaceful than the gym leader had imagined it’d be. The troops seemed to focus on now more than ever, thanks to his proximity to their commander. The Stakataka cubes, however, easily shot lasers in the air without any regard to the orders issued.

Despite the Corviknight’s protective barrier and the one provided by Katherine’s own Reuniclus, her Sableye mega-evolves in a bright flash of light that consumes it whole - only to reveal its durable, ruby-like shield. With its newly-gained MAGIC BOUNCE ability, it attempts to deflect beams away to ensure the safety of its trainer.

“Gavin! Do you mind slowing down for a second?”

Assuming the Underboss complies, Katherine retrieves a Pokeball she'd kept hidden until this very moment. And from within the capsule, a familiar jester escapes.

It can almost be heard. Space is torn and ripped into, the alien pokemon forcing an Ultra Wormhole to come to life in the skies, just below the bird it had been standing on top of.

"I'll see you when you get there. Don't die."

It's one hell of a leap of fate, all things considered. This wormhole appeared to be even less stable than those that have been seen across Hoenn. And yet still, Katherine sky-dives along with the jester, her mega-evolved Sableye, and the floating Reuniclus.

Time and time again, the woman has proven that fortune does favor the bold, and today will be no different.

They reappear near the powerplant, as she'd hoped. There, she sends out her Dusknoir all while gesturing with her hand for Reuniclus to execute a SKILL SWAP, exchanging abilities with the clown. A soft, ethereal glow is bestowed upon the pokemon, shrouding it with a protective barrier.

“Lopez! Either scram out of there or protect yourself!”



The elite four member is given only a moment of time to choose his next move, but then, the ultra beast does what it knows best: it detaches its head as if it were only a doll, only to launch it ahead at the commanders and the troops nearby.



For a second, the world grows silent before a resounding sound of explosion emits from the point of impact. Those who've had the misfortune of meeting the clown at New Years should be able to recognize this type of explosion, and yet, the power of the z-move takes it a step further.

☆ sableye mega-evolves! it uses its shield and its mega ability (magic bounce) to deflect the lasers as best as it can. (1/3)
☆ katherine asks gavin to slow down for a second, and then she sends out Blacephalon. the ultra beast creates an ultra wormhole in the skies for them to dive into, and hopefully appear near the powerplant!
☆ after arriving, she sends out her s!dusknoir, and reuniclus uses SKILL SWAP, exchanging abilities with Blacephalon. (blacephalon has magic guard now, reuniclus has beast boost).
☆ blacephalon uses its special z-move JESTER'S DEMISE. it throws its head towards both of the commanders, aiming to consume them both with the explosion.
☆ katherine hopes kyle protects himself in time or teleports away (hence the warning!) but she isn't stopping herself from accomplishing what she came here to do.

"I think I'm gonna puke." Was Rex's only reply to , any witty remark or not stupid response withering away from the forefront of his mind. The truck was gone. Meteors were plunging around them. More of those poisonous dragons were coming. Lasers. Just fucking lasers. They were going to die. A quivering shriek escaped him, knuckles white as a searing laser sent a man down, now with a distinct lack of heart. They were all so dead. [break][break]

What Rex wasn't aware of was the effect this had on One, the Mega Evolved Pokemon keenly attuned to its master's mental state. Fear of harm steadily grew and now, a certainty that they were dying? It was a wonder the two didn't snap until now. [break][break]

The fossil wailed, a terrible and fearful sound that echoed everything he felt, and more. A cornered animal, unable to run, unable to hide, it fought. Hyper Beam, now only boosted by the power of a Mega Evolution, glowed in its maw briefly, and exploded outwards. Up, down, at those laser-firing blocks, at those dragons. Anything Rex looked at and was afraid of had to burn. Damn anything in the way. [break][break]

The source of the meteors. Just a thought, and the beast understood the target, craning its neck down to finally find the final target, the Guzzlord. [break][break]

One finally faltered, gasping as it trailed at a terribly fast speed to the ground, Four desperately erecting a Light Screen to stave off any attacks or counters. They crashed roughly, One making certain the humans on its back took little impact, shaking and dizzy from the exertion of Hyper Beam. [break][break]

The rest of the team was there in an instant, having followed from the moment One started trailing down. Two put up a Protect, and the loyal Haxorus stepped outside of it, making room for others as it unleashed Dual Chop on anything that came near the recovering One. [break][break]

Finally unable to hold his stomach, and trusting the Protect, Rex tumbled from One's back and hunched over. He was right about one thing, he definitely did puke.

Gavin swears he can feel the searing heat of the lasers as they flash past — was it all in his head? He watches as a League ranger is all but disintegrated by one, the sea visible beyond the hole in his abdomen. Corviknight's silver feathers shimmer with another wave of IRON DEFENSE as it flies toward the power plant. There is a vague hope that its MIRROR ARMOUR might deflect the beams, were they anything like ordinary lasers.[break][break]

Chaos has erupted in the distance, strange silhouettes quickly obscured by a mist that blankets the area surrounding their destination. Clouds darken with thunder that thankfully seems to be directed elsewhere. Uncertain of whether the other obstructions were caused by friend or foe, Gavin directs Corviknight to remain high and hopefully out of range.[break][break]

Katherine asks to slow down, and Corviknight obeys.[break][break]

Whatever Gavin expects, it's not for his ally to dive into a wormhole.[break][break]

Despite his pessimistic outlook, Gavin will not abandon her to whatever reckless fate she seeks. The golden accents on Corviknight's wings catch the light as they pick up speed in their flight toward the power plant, Gavin directing his aggression to the soldiers on the path below.[break][break]

"Metagross!"[break][break]

Utilizing the only range afforded to it, Metagross calls upon HIDDEN POWERS; the GRASS beneath the feet of the alien infantry would come to be weaponized against them.[break][break]

"Lucario, defend us!"[break][break]

Though it can do little in the way of protecting them from the lasers directly, the dual-type fires off an AURA SPHERE toward one of the cubes.[break][break]

Lycanroc, meanwhile, finds itself struggling to keep up with its airborne allies. It tries its best, snarling as it runs, until Gavin recognizes its plight and attempts to return the irate canine to its ball.[break][break]

As the final push on the Guzzlord took place, Thomas watched on with a combination of horror and anticipation. Thankfully, Adrian's Gyarados came through, landing the final blow, and taking out the behemoth before it could fire off its Hyper Beam. With that being done, Thomas took the opportunity to get closer to the ground, to recall his Scizor.

"If you need to get off, now's the time.", he'd tell Gigi as he approached safe dismount distance and speed.

It was then that the Stakataka cubes began to fly through the area, blasting League personnel with lasers. As Colt made his way towards the best cover he could find, Thomas and Kalameet would take to the skies again, doing their best to evade the laser beams. He would fly over to join the others, only to discover a second Guzzlord in the waters, and still alive. As it began to fire off Draco Meteors, Thomas and Kalameet would find themselves desperately attempting to weave through the fire.

"Fucking hell!", Thomas exclaimed.

The Hydreigon would begin to fire off Dragon Pulses at the alien dragon in retaliation, attempting to finish off the beast. Meanwhile, Colt would begin to fire off Aura Spheres at the cubes, knowing that the blast would be able to track them despite any erratic movement they'd attempt.

dominic catches the way the the beams reduce the stealth rock to dust and chaos erupts around them. dominic catches only fragments; the way cotillard escaped to the power plant, the way an elite four member gave chase and disappeared among mist and stone. [break][break]

cursing under his breath, he has only a brief moment to turn to and @samuel and open his mouth to speak when marcel's pokemon erupts out of its capsule. dominic recognises the pokemon's malice; pin-pointing signs of aggression is nothing new and he knows it's not directed at their adversaries. [break][break]

he hears lasers sing as they cut through the air, he hears bodies drop - though the screams he filters out, reducing them to a white noise static. [break][break]

the alcremie at dominic's side erects a PROTECT for him and he moves closer to his rocket colleagues so that the benefit can be extended to them too if need be. togekiss will swoop low to hide behind the PROTECT, fluttering its wings to spread droplets of LIFE DEW on those in a reasonably close radius. [break][break]

the luxray places itself between the renegade silvally and , poised to attack, and when dominic speaks it will lunge to attack with a snarl. "get it away, in the fucking water," dominic orders as a dark aura emanates from the luxray's body heralding a SHADOW END as it attacks. [break][break]

two shadows break away from the man, and two hits go to strike the silvally; the luxray with its entire body and a hand with elongated, clawed fingers will emerge and curl into a fist to land a FOCUS PUNCH. [break][break]

dominic's airborne steelix will twist its serpentine body through space to avoid damage and if possible, when it sees that the source of the lasers - the floating cubes - are nearby, it will lash out its tail to SMACK DOWN as many as feasible, aiming to disable them and render them vulnerable to follow-up attack. [break]

Hastened by 's Tailwind Lucas' ditto-corviknight tailed as they both flew away from the rampaging guzzlord.

The ditto-corviknight careened through the air as it attempted to dodge the stakataka TIE fighters and crashing lightning. A protect blinked into existence above its body as insurance against the chaos.

When 's corknight slowed Lucas remained at top speed, catching up to the Rocket members as they savagely tear a wormhole in the air. At the sight of the culprit for the wormhole's creation Lucas' mouth dropped and eyebrows rose in shocked recognition. It was the same kind of pokemon that'd terrorized Slateport during New Years, and the suspected pokemon behind Littleroot Theatre's tragic destruction.

"Follow them!" Lucas roared the command, which the ditto-corviknight promptly obeyed as it careened through the wormhole 's Blacephelon created.

Should they pass successfully through the portal to the powerplant Lucas would attempt to prevent Blacephelon's explosion with his avatar stealth rocks.

A familiar looking face flashed across Gigi's screen. Huh. Where had she seen this man before- Oh, right! The HNN Article about an escaped convict or something. Well, shit. Did they have a reward for his capture? What the hell was his name again? "Isn't that Juul Collitart or something?" she questioned as she motioned for Captcha to slip into her phone once again. "Do you think he's got a bounty?" 

"Extra zoom, Captcha." The grainy scene was becoming clearer and something was off.. Was it the way the light hit or did that guy just turn blue? And wait- What the fuck? Was he making out with a Pokemon? Like sure it had the long legs everyone swooned over but uh.. pretty sure that was against the law. And, y'know, just morally and ethically wrong. 

Well, whether what she saw was real or fiction would have to be confirmed later: a swarm of pink and purple disproportioned hornets and alien babies with large heads emerged from the nearby woods. When given the opportunity by Thomas, she hopped off the Hydreigon. Her mind was still reeling from an otaku's fever dream as she released her Venusaur once again. 

The buzzing of the flying beetle hovering next to her temporarily snapped her from her thoughts. "Duracell, Captcha," she addressed the Vikavolt and Rotom. "Combo wombo - go!" An exasperated sigh forced its way out of her mouth when neither Pokemon moved. "Double Discharge on the swarm! Go, go, go!" 

Captcha was uneager to remove himself from the relatively safer location inside Gigi's phone but, nonetheless, he obeyed and hitched a ride on the waiting Vikavolt. "Be careful." Gigi murmured as she watched them fly off. Electricity sparked around their bodies as they began to combine their Pokemon, creating a large discharge of electric energy.

"Cover them. Disorientate the swarm." Venusaur nodded as she summoned another sweeping storm of petals. The petal dance sought the wreak havoc through the swarm: whether by sweeping some into its vortex, separating the flock, or simply disorientating them due to the amount of petals.

- Witnesses/streams the scene thanks to being airborne + super zoom, although not entirely sure wtf she just witnessed. Hoping her eyes are mistaking her. Viewers will probably help her figure it out. Maybe.

- Gigi releases Venusaur now that she’s grounded / more room. 
- Vikavolt & Rotom (+1 eva) combine their Discharges on the swarm.

tldr: mega steelix uses dig to burrow a tunnel beneath the ground to shield them from oncoming attacks. kommo-o and aggron hunker down in the tunnel. kommo-o uses dragon dance and aggron uses protect to seal off the tunnel. mega steelix reverts back to normal. bailey uses avatar powers to shield herself and togekiss with a earth dome and shields her fairy-type with her body. togekiss uses life dew.[break][break]

The eyes of the Stakataka glanced in her direction. She failed to connect the dots.[break][break]

Togekiss would continue its hellish pace, trying to stay neck and neck with Jules as they crossed the water; with the rolling blue beneath her, Bailey was unable to summon the earth as she had done before. It forced her to coast, holding to her fairy, as the distant shoreline of the powerplant revealed itself.[break][break]

Her feet hid the ground first, skidding like the wheels of an airplane hitting a runway. The rising clouds of dirt signifying how deep she had to dig her soles just to bring herself to stop.[break][break]

Jules Cotillard underwent his alteration; his true nature unveiled through the same machine that he had debuted.[break][break]

“...Yo, what the fuck.” She squinted at the new visor that the megalopolan dawned. Her confused turning into cringe at the public displays of affection.[break][break]

What followed was a confluence; the lights of the scattered Stakataka, the orders of Philomera, and the resurgence of troops as combat intensified. Her eyes drifted from the tackled to the sudden resurgence of strange, empowered dog-like pokemon that she had never seen. More galar pokemon?[break][break]

There was no time for her to comprehend it; she acted on instinct as the tides of battle turned. Her hand slamed to the ground to meld earth and to make it pliable. A rock-like wall would emerge and warp itself, encasing the champion and Togekiss beneath its dome-like exterior.[break][break]

"Tink!" and before the fairy-type could try and rise to her defense, Bailey had already thrown her body over the squirming marshmallow bird; she pinned her first pokemon to the ground, cradling her body over Tink like she had reverted back to being a small togepi again.[break][break]

Because she still thought of the fairy as that small, fragile egg-pokemon.[break][break]

Her body was dampened from the life dew that the fairy-type desperately deployed.[break][break]

Somewhere far away from their trainer, Mega Steelix, Aggron, and Kommo-o had no chance to celebrate their successful derailing of the Guzzlord; the ultra beast still thrashed in the waters, and now there were new enemies to contend with.[break][break]

Sprinting, the pokemon had followed the grassy path that their trainer had flown across. Their efforts ending as the gray, terrorizing cubes took to the sky and dismembered distant league members.[break][break]

Without their trainer, they chose to get creative. Mega Steelix, without a moment of hesitation, executed dig to burrow underground where cover from oncoming attacks could be secured; the steel-type pokemon corkscrewed into the ground at an angel, curving to make a passage that could be treaded down by foot.[break][break]

Aggron and Kommo-o charged down this incline, beneath the earth where they could be out of sight. Kommo-o would sandwich itself between the two steel-types, executing dragon dance to prepare itself for what may come; Aggron held to the back, executing protect and holding the shield at such and angle that it would prevent others from attempting to gain entry.[break][break]

And with that achieved, Steelix would have no choice but to surrender its mega evolution; it panted and breathed heavy in the dampened air, trying to gather its bearings for what else would await them.[break][break]

his golduck hurls a wave of MUD BOMBS in answer to the lasers, hoping to at least hinder the stakata, if it could not take them down entirely. his clefable joins in with a rallying cry, oddly close to gleeful, throwing its own bombs with COPYCAT. the effects of MAGNET RISE still linger in the fairy-type; it moves to dodge any lasers that may come their way with its playful air acrobatics.

Within the chorus of healing abilities that caressed the exoskeleton of his yanmega, even the ex-gym leader added one of his own. Andy still looked none too grateful. The status of 'even-stevens' was only reachable when equal or greater suffering was visited upon the brute. Bitter as it may be, had thus far represented everything he hated about adults.

All about responsibility they were, until it was on them. Of course he noted if he was indeed the selfsame man who had abandoned his post, well, what could he expect? And so he offered only a one finger salute for him to catch with the eyes in the back of his head before tossing his pokeball, for all the good that did. The guzzlord, bubbled out of existence into a pool of noxious liquid in the river.

Gengar's mouth parted once again, and this time his nimble tongue spat out to catch the ball from the air, reeling it back toward his master. Pulling it from its grasp and shaking off the saliva, the boy breathed something like a sigh of relief. Now that he had a chance to think about it, he felt exhausted. Looking around at the devastation didn't energize him at all.

What a disaster. Oh, but it got worse. The disturbances in the sky drew his attention. ''Huh...?'' Worm holes grew, ''Oh. Ah..? And began to deposit meteors. Everywhere. ''Oh fuck!'' He looked to his ghost type. ''Gengar!'' The pokemon faded into his shadow as he nudged yanmega. ''Lets blow this popcicle stand!'' Latching onto his shirt, she took flight.

This fucking day is diarrhea! Shit just keeps coming out like a salad shooter! There was more however, as naganadel emerged from what was left of the forest. Hopefully all the smoke from the fire and he meteors would shield them, although cover was a two way street. ''Ravana, see if you can do something!'' Just as before, the yanmega concentrated a hypnosis as the closest one as she weaved through the meteor rain.

The Guzzlord was dead.

The alien monster's Hyper Beam never reached its target, as Moana's and everyone else's attacks preempted it. Moana let out a long exhale when the creature died. 

But it was far from over. This Guzzlord was far from the only enemy that they had. Moana released Keila, and the Pineco was splashed with a fellow fighter's Life Dew. The damage to the Pineco healed, and Moana felt the wounds on his own torso closing up. That was good. They might not have been that terrible, in Moana's own opinion-- he was no stranger to injury-- but he was glad for the relief from the pain and the lack of danger of bleeding out, or infection.

There was a moment of reprieve, for which Moana was grateful. Arceus knew it wasn't over yet. He couldn't be sure, but Moana thought he'd heard another of the huge monstrosities on the battlefield, plus who knew what else these aliens had up their sleeves.

Sure enough, there was another Guzzlord, and it seemed to have summoned a goddamn meteor shower to kill all of them, along with a swarm of more bee-dragons and some... flying bricks that shot lasers? What the hell. Moana could only hope that the Light Screen Wali had set up previously would help mitigate the damage, but it was still better to be safe than sorry. 

"Keila, Protect again," Moana said, and the Pineco brought up a barrier once again. Moana was irrationally happy. That Protect had been a blessing throughout this fight, and without Keila, Moana would be dead many times over.

Shielded behind this barrier and Wali's Light Screen, the rest of his team would go on the offensive. Wali shrieked, using a Psychic attack on the incoming swarm of Naganadel to try and throw them bodily at each other, hopefully disrupting their flight. Tynnu raised more Stealth Rocks as an added deterrent, and Pertapa raised her claws and made a rock, larger than the ones used for Rock Blast, and lobbed them at the swarm, aiming to Smack Down the attackers.


SUMMARY
- Life Dew from last turn heals Pineco and Moana (ty)
- Sigilyph's Light Screen from last turn is still active
- Pineco uses Protect again (this is becoming a pattern)
- Sigilyph uses Psychic on the incoming Naganadel to try and throw them at each other

the light of the warmhole opening reflected in her eyes, wide. she blinked away before it could take out her vision for the following moments. woah. she’d yet to see one in person until now.

then, they were descending, lasers shooting towards and all around them in utter chaos, bodies falling quickly past them. shit. both she and her perrserker went to launch the boxes in their hands at incoming attackers.

lulu watched for her blaziken who had fortunately made it to the team when they’d reached the ground. she growled at ’s retching. “no, rex! get up!” a hand shot down to grab him by the collar and the other gave him a firm, tough-love smack on the cheek to jolt him out of his panic. “we have to keep moving, fucker, i’m not leaving you behind!” she gritted her teeth at oncoming lasers as they rained down, quickly recalling her perrserker to opt for golisopod instead.

they stood by a moment, within the protection of the other team’s defenses, waiting for rex to spring back to life and recall his pokemon or mount one to join them in advancing. they would not wait long. “get on if you need to! we gotta go!” she looked back. “LIQUIDATION!” water shot up to soak a few nearby cubes.

it was then that she noticed a familiar face, dangling from the road above—@samuel . having noted that he was friendly do to his lingering with marcel, she reacted protectively to send her blaziken over to assist. “blaziken, quick, shoot it with fire!”

its SPEED BOOST in effect, the pokemon would dodge lasers on its way to help with the defeat of the remaining guzzlord. once close, it launched a FLAME BURST at the ultra beast threatening to swallow their comrade.

But that ill-fated outcome has been played in reverse as the Guzzlord's hulking figure saunters backwards into the water, with Furor spitting out a chunk of its marred flesh. "GYYRRraaaAAAAAAHHH!" Its Moxie had been triggered.[break][break]

For a moment Adrian finds hope, but a cry goes out in the distance; a swarm of the purple, wasp-like draconids have begun to pour out of the western forest's edge. Out of the frying pan, into the fire, Adrian bitterly muses to himself. What should he do...? His eyes flit amongst their ranks, though they've only just started pushing the advantage, many are weak and weary for the coming push.[break][break]

"Omen, Reflect." A screen of energy forms and overlaps with the previous LIGHT SCREEN before being lifted together overhead to form a canopy, helping to deflect and mitigate the incoming offensive. It is enough, he dares hope, to buy them time. "Vixen, heal everyone with your Life Dew. Quickly, before they hit us."[break][break]

"Furor, use Lightning to divide their column on their approach," he directed the mega evolved specimen, hoping to make use of the overcast weather. But it needn't strike their forces directly to force their path to veer off course, which is something he was counting on. But even so, he needed to figure out what his next move was going to be, and before he was struck dead. Speaking of...[break][break]

The heavenly curtain above was drawn back taut, warping into portholes into that dastardly outerworld, the Megalopolan homeland. From out of the sky's hellmouth came an outpouring of draconian retribution, a series of Draco Meteors that hurtled towards Hoenn's surrounding landscapes with impunity, marring her beautiful geography in one fell swoop. Adrian had to fight the urge to bolt in terror, and instead watched the meteors carefully, like the movies...[break][break]

"Karma, prepare to Teleport us... Vixen, try to contact the group that went up the hill; ask them what's happened." With the sky opening up overhead, raining hellfire and brimstone like it was the end times, Adrian couldn't help but wonder whether the forward team had provoked this response.[break][break]

As if an angelic envoy had reached out to them all at once, the seraphic presence of Gardevoir's psychic mind linked itself with every familiar mind around it stretching across the entire route, hoping to glean some modicum of information. As always its mind was open to Alakazam; should it become privy to anything of import, Karma would avail them to where they were needed.[break][break]

- Grimmsnarl's REFLECT helps mitigate the incoming Naganadel's Poison-attacks.[break]
- Gardevoir's LIFE DEW eases the suffering and ails of nearby ally Pokemon.[break]
- Gyarados' THUNDER will try to divert the incoming wave of Naganadel.[break]

Vision blurred slightly as the sharp sting of his injury caught up with his adrenaline. It forced him down onto one knee before he could pull his hand away from it, swapping it out with the other as he stared at the unsightly mixture of blood and purple ooze. He curses beneath his breath, separating his hand from the wound when Agnés telepathically prompts him to do so. She gets to work with a HEALING PULSE, concern hardening his expression like clay in hot sunlight.[break][break]

The sound of approaching Megalopolan troops offered little respite as they drew closer, however. The moment he feels well enough to stand on his own for the time being, the royal rises. ”We need to move... away from here,” A roar of noise fills the air. The ground trembles beneath their feet. He is quick to diagnose the sound. ”To the Power Plant... to Philomera. We’ve unfinished business.”

With that statement, his bloodied right hand pushes aside his coat and effortlessly unclips a jet black ball from his hip. His suddenly steely blue-grey eyes focus on the swarm he can discern through the forest trees and foliage. Knowing what is to come, Agnés entwines her arm with his in an effort to keep both of them steady. Remiel hardly hesitates as he casts the ball downward, summoning a flash of light that swiftly takes the shape of the legendary Zekrom:[break][break]

With the two of them atop the right shoulder of the glowing black beast, Zekrom takes flight with a single powerful flap of its wings, rising above the towering pinewood trees in a flurry of leaves and a gust of powerful wind that topples over nearby Megalopolans. Now airborne, the true size of the Naganadel swarm becomes significantly clearer. The sight of the wasps was a familiar sight for the dragon— and thoroughly unpleasant. So much so that, as storms clouds gather above and its tail thrums with energy, no instruction is needed from its avatar before it expels a fiery blue DRAGON BREATH upon their enemies.[break][break]

Its onslaught of draconic flame is merciless but short-lived when Remiel issues a telepathic order for it to stand down, and instead fly towards the gaping portal nearby. There the same ‘woman’ who had imprisoned the great dragon not too long ago awaited. Their flight would not be without its perils, however. And for that some further instruction would need to take place.[break][break]

As Stakataka cubes attempted to seize the skies in their peculiar formations, Faust was relieved to find reinforcement with Gofannon, who had finally caught up onto the grassy path. The Ampharos clambered onto the moving tank for cover just as he had done before, heeding Remiel’s telepathic command. Atop the lumbering beast, he then began to fire at the aerial Stakataka above with SIGNAL BEAM, sending rays of prismatic light into the air that would (at the very least) attempt to disorient the units. The Duraludon he rode upon, in the meantime, summoned a LIGHT SCREEN it hoped would weaken or outright deter the lasers and the meteors falling from above.[break][break]

Meanwhile...

Absolute ruin and carnage remains in the wake of the shadowed beast’s rampage. Bloodied tooth and claw tremble with a hunger for more, and he would have torn the structure right down to its foundation looking for it. But, instead, something breaks through the dark haze of what’s left of its mind. The monster swerves it massive head towards the war-torn scene at the center of the lake. The mysterious presence (TELEPATHY) prompts it to turn, digging its clawed feet into the ground (and the corpse) below before bounding off with one powerful, massive leap towards the grassy route. A dust cloud is left in its place. As it descends, it attempts to take down a nearby Stakataka with an unrelenting METAL CLAW.[break][break]

tl;dr: After a quick Heal Pulse from Gardevoir, Remiel summons Zekrom to escape the forest in flight and burn away the swarm of Naganadel with Dragon Breath. The trio (Remiel, Gardevoir, and Zekrom) then steer their flight towards the generals and the massive portal they guard. Ampharos provides offensive support from below with Signal Beam against the Stakataka aerial units. Duraludon provides a measure of defense with Light Screen against the Draco Meteor assault. Shadowed Druddigon leaps towards the grassy route at the center, hoping to take apart a Stakataka cube on the way down with Metal Claw.[break][break]
