SEARING SOLAR BEAMS fire from the artificial sun. Upon being struck by one, it feels as if you've been placed into the center of the sun and subsequently engulfed in flames. But the feeling is temporary. Although there are no
BURNS— the affected area may bruise or feel raw. Some may be hurled away from the force of the impact.[break][break]
Cardamom Bliss's Pokemon dive into a defensive formation. The
OBSTAGOON takes the brunt of the impact valiantly before
FAINTING, effectively saving the rest of its friends.[break][break]
As
kanoa kaʻuhane rides around the volcano's mouth atop her
ARCANINE, her
ROCKRUFF throws
STONE EDGES at the beast in the center. However, a
SOLAR BEAM strikes the Alolan and hurls her off her mount.[break][break]
With his
DRAGONITE and
DRAGAPULT,
Victor Wexler manages to evade several
BEAMS with stunning choreography. A
HURRICANE batters the beast— but the
SOLAR BEAM strikes the
DRAGONITE as it shifts to protect its owner simultaneously. The dragon falls, having
FAINTED.[break][break]
After a dramatic emergency landing, the earth shudders as
DEREK HOFFMAN's
MACHAMP demonstrates incredible
STRENGTH. A boulder is lodged in between its peers and an incoming
SOLAR BEAM.
DEREK HOFFMAN depends upon his
GARCHOMP and as the ray hits— the aftermath is a horrifying clamor of stone. His
MACHAMP remains standing, but his
GARCHOMP has fainted protecting its owner.[break][break]
ON THE MOUNTAIN

@giselle leads the charge in her section. As debris falls around them into the dense, past foliage, the
SOLAR BEAMS descend like missiles. [break][break]
Her
CHEWTLE's PROTECT is enough to protect the rest of its peers; however, the
SOLAR BEAM is powerful enough to
FAINT the dutiful Tank. Similarly,
Josh Dragomir's
SWAMPERT also takes the hit. A
MUD BOMB splatters in half as a
SOLAR BEAM strikes it squarely in the chest to
KNOCK IT OUT. [break][break]

mint frost's
KOMALA hops around during its slumber, evading projectiles while it clutches its log. However, his
LUXIO is caught in the blast. A
SOLAR BEAM knocks it off its paws, causing it to
FAINT.[break][break]
Nearby,
aaron faust's
FERALIGATR destroys boulders with powerful blasts of
HYDRO PUMPS. Beside, his
NIDORINA encourages the large reptilian— but
aaron faust's
BRAIXEN diverts its attention to the more pressing threat. A
PSYCHIC helps its trainer move out of the way— but the
HIDDEN POWER strikes the edge of his arm. He realizes a portion of his sleeve is missing, as if
TELEPORTED somewhere else. He bleeds: a razor sharp line cut across his skin.[break][break]

Ruby Walker's
URSHIFU protects its owner and the children nearby. The bear's impressive strength allows it to block one
SOLAR BEAM— but another arrives from a different angle. It strikes both the
URSHIFU and
Hideo Kino's
GARDEVOIR, fainting them both— but they are successful in protecting their friends.[break][break]
As
Remiel Calcifet's
KINGDRA swoops in to rescue its trainer from a
SOLAR BEAM, his
PALOSSAND is caught in the line of fire. It faints as it
SHORES UP, while
FERNANDO SILPH's
GARCHOMP nearby, faints after a
BEAM cuts through a weaker point in their
EARTHY BARRIER.[break][break]
IN THE AIR
Amor Rose Andy Blackadder Victor Wexler Ruby Walker @tadashiootori
siobhan burke manages to weave through the grid of
SOLAR BEAMS on her
DRAGAPULT. The
HAIL from her
FROSLASS swiftly turns to
RAIN under the heat, and under the duress, her
TOXAPEX manages to protect her from being clipped by a
BEAM.[break][break]
As
Eris Halla departs from her savior, her
CHIMECHO is eventually struck by a
SOLAR BEAM. It wails as it
FAINTS.[break][break]
However, @jess is a skilled flier. She ascends with a
SKY ATTACK thanks to her
DODRIO. The wind whips across their face— and with sheer determination, her
PIDGEOT manages to
DEFLECT A BEAM at its peak. The bird is singed, but is able to keep itself up. This high, she can see the efforts of those attempting to dislodge the
RED ORB.[break][break]
THE RED ORB

Greyson Connors follows

Stormy Silph to the
RED ORB. This close, the heat of the volcano instantly forces the body to drench itself in sweat. The sulfur, the searing heat, and the emanating energy from this
PRIMAL GROUDON is almost suffocating.[break][break]
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of those attacking the
GROUDON— but in particular,
samuel carter's
DOUBLE TEAMING GARDEVOIR'S MOONBLASTS, the blinding
FAIRY-TYPE MOVE becomes enough of a duplicated distraction to allow those closest to the beast to work.[break][break]

A
FLOWER SHIELD daisy chains around
Stormy Silph,
illeana reyes,
Greyson Connors, and
MATIAS SILPH who is joined by
Eva Morales. As the
ORB is tugged upon,
WATER ATTACKS strike the
GROUDON and are instantly turned into steam.
Amor Rose's dragons manage to evade the
SOLAR BEAMS— but as the
GROUDON whips around, a beam strikes
MATIAS SILPH's
NOIVERN. It cries as it
FAINTS.[break][break]
As the beam arcs across the air, it also strikes
Eva Morales's
GARDEVOIR, which faints, its
PSYCHIC pressure dissipating from the orb.
Greyson Connors witnesses the carnage from his
DRAGAPULT— and while another fires outward, it strikes
illeana reyes's
PROTECTING COFAGRIGUS. Briefly, the
PROTECT seems to work— but the beam powers through and strikes
Stormy Silph who attempts to grab at the
RED ORB itself. He watches as the
MUMMY POKEMON FAINTS before the
SOLAR BEAM throws
Stormy Silph off into the air. He sees the beam rush for his direction before it collides with his
DRAGAPULT, which
FAINTS it.[break][break]
Immediately, after
Stormy Silph is struck,
MATIAS SILPH'
MEGA CHARIZARD and
illeana reyes have to contend with other attacks.
Ruby Walker's
SHADOW METAGROSS fires a
PRISMATIC LASER at the
RED ORB alongside
Amor Rose's
MEGA EVOLVED SCEPTILE's LEAF STORM. Leaves cut into clothes and skin as a
BLINDING LIGHT briefly blinds them.[break][break]

As they come to, they see that the sun above pulses upon being struck with those attacks. After each pulse, the sky immediately above changes to the past, for they can see
ARCHEOPS clumsily flying above before the rift closes again.
Andy Blackadder's warning to the group is slightly inaccurate, but the meaning is able to be pieced together.[break][break]

MOONBLASTS continue to confuse the
GROUDON, finally the
RED ORB seems to loosen. A
NATURE'S MADNESS from
FERNANDO SILPH's
TAPU FINI causes the tectonic body of the beast to rock violently, allowing
Andy Blackadder's
MEGA GENGAR's POLTERGEIST to be the final push to
RIP THE RED ORB OUT alongside everyone's efforts.[break][break]

A HIDDEN POWER strikes
FERNANDO SILPH in his
MISTY TERRAIN. It cuts across and above his shoulder, whistling against his ear as it passes dangerously close to his head. Like
aaron faust's injury, it is a clean slice. The tear in his clothes is a clean line, as if it has been teleported elsewhere.[break][break]

Upon being struck,
FERNANDO SILPH would sense that his target has been cursed. Should he use his intuition, he would be able to swing his gaze to witness their potential assassins. Standing atop tall treetops, two men watch ominously in black. A white design of some sort is sewn onto their chest and the two possess
UNOWN that float by their stomachs. One
UNOWN D and one
UNOWN R. One of the men clutches their body, as a
CURSE continues to whittle away at their vitality.[break][break]
Suddenly, the two men and their Pokemon
FLATTEN into a
2D WALL OF BLACK. On it, the white design sewn on their clothes emerges as an engraved seal. After, the
FLAT PLANE SHATTERS INTO NOTHINGNESS. Should
Remiel Calcifet desire to, he may witness this as well.[break][break]
WITHIN THE JUNGLE

THE MAN IN THE JUNGLE stares at
Zac Ramsay's handshake with an incredulous look. Although he is able to communicate with the party, the cultural custom is helplessly foreign to him. Nearby,
Asriel Pryde waits in the shadows, keeping to himself and unwilling to let himself be seen.[BREAK][BREAK]
Seeing
zenji jabami prostrate himself,
giona ferrara vouch for his virtue, and
Zac Ramsay's curious offering, the man grumbles. He takes a sip of the soda and spits it almost immediately.[BREAK][BREAK]
"this potion is flavorful, but why does it bubble so?! it is like the beedrill's stinger on my tongue!" Still, he takes another sip (
SALAC EFFECT).[BREAK][BREAK]
The mountain around them quakes.[BREAK][BREAK]
"my GROUDON should not be awake." He says, old eyes shaking with alarm.
"all of you... you are not from here."[BREAK][BREAK]
Again, the mountain shakes and the jungle around them begins to fade, little by little. But in the man's mind, he pieces the situation together, bit by bit.[BREAK][BREAK]
"posthaste! extend a treasure of your own!" the rocks behind the group disperse into crumbs.
"you will need my power, but if taken pure, death is swift."[break][break]
Should the group respectively extend their possessions, he places his hands on them. His tattoos glow like lava, golden-yellow flowing and marking each object.[break][break]
"place it close to the body. wear it. it will be your conduit."[break][break]
[break][break]
"this will be temporary. be quick." The man says.
"you can recreate the earth. change the mouth of the mountain. calm the land titan or enclose it!" [break][break]
Their surroundings begin to rapidly fade in an apocalyptic quake. As the past world begins to crumble apart, the man shouts good luck. In the process,
zenji jabami's bag suddenly feels heavier— and as the past world cracks away, they find themselves suddenly on top of the mountain with everyone else.[break][break]
It appears as if the jungle has been terraformed from the past... made into mountain sometime between then and now. At least, one may theorize such an explanation.[break][break]
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
FERNANDO SILPH Remiel Calcifet @jess aaron faust
WHEN THE ORB IS HOISTED OUT OF THE GROUDON'S MAGMATIC BACK, several things happen at once. The
STRETCHES OF THE PAST disappear and are replaced with
MODERN DAY HOENN once again. Above, the
ARTIFICIAL SUN grows to a grotesque size.[break][break]
MT. CHIMNEY begins to rumble.
EARTHQUAKE upon
EARTHQUAKE rumbles the mountain with each quake becoming more intense and coming quicker than the previous. As fumarolic gasses emerge from the stomach of the volcano, those who remain close will find it difficult to breathe. Underneath the shoes of those on the mountain itself, the earth swells, bulging in places as steam hisses out from cracks.[break][break]
[break][break]
The
RED ORB is launched— but the resulting force from everyone's pulls causes it to fly into the air... and lands in
Greyson Connors's hands, who is busy falling after his
DRAGAPULT had fainted (
determined by distance to red orb/roll). Angered, the
GROUDON turns around toward
Greyson Connors and attempts to chase after him— or where ever the orb may be, claws lashing out to clear anything and anyone in its way. It roars and
TEN PRECIPICE BLADES emerge around the volcano, ready to
EXPLODE unless they are broken apart.[break][break]
In this chaotic reversion to the fuming present, one thing is clear to everyone:[break][break]

Please exercise respect, humility, and a willingness to collaborate. Should RP etiquette be broken in this thread, your character may be promptly removed. Furthermore, should you miss the posting deadline, there is a chance that your character will be ejected from the raid.[break][break]
