nacho squirmed in Stormy Silph ’s arms, but soon settled over her shoulder, front paws bobbing against her back lightly as he resigned to watching the distance grow between himself and the pile of apricorns.

the look on bo's face remained stretched with surprise at skyler dross. a hand eventually went towards his pocket—the one with the wallet. he stopped short when the bottle was extended in his direction.

bo didn’t drink, really.

but it was just a sip, right?

the booze was taken by its unlabeled neck, and down the hatch went some of the most gnarly liquid he had ever consumed. it showed in his face, which looked cool at first as he lowered it from his lips, and soured as seconds passed until he had to turn away, holding the bottle back towards her all the while.

Gavin managed to interrupt the conversation before Adrian could pry into the specifics, making note of the incoming curfew that Scoutmaster had forewarned the campers of during their exchanged. Likewise he had a plethora of pokemon to rely upon, in this case a LUDICOLO and its RAIN DISH could provide water enough for them... if it rained.

With a relieved exhale, Stormy shifts the Vaporeon draped over her shoulder to a more comfortable position, hands bracing the Pokemon to prevent it from slipping.

She weaves in between passersby on her way back to Boruta, idly patting and petting the Vaporeon's smooth back all the while. For a moment, Boruta has disappeared in the crowd, but only because he has hunched himself into a sour-puss face. She sees the extended bottle held back for skyler dross to reclaim and the pinched expression as he scowls into his shoulder.

The sight makes her laugh out loud.

"Damn, Skyler's shit really do be rank though."

And then she gestures to the Pokemon in her possession.

"I have someone who belongs to you."

Man, he sucked at finding water, as it turned out. It was almost shameful!

"I'm from the Kanto generation, damn it- outdoors is our shit!" Doug grumbled to himself, kicking one of several Apricorns with a whine.

His arm came up to slap his own cheeks twice, the youth breathing in deeply before nodding to himself.

"Awright... Let's try this again, for real this time!" He said, swearing to no one in particular that he hadn't been trying the several times before.

Pity he would never find the water cause his writer's lazy ass didn't bother finding any pokemon with the required abilities or moves...

Their Piplup, however, perked up at the word “choke,” tugging an empty cup out of his trainer’s bag and waddling over to @mika. Pip-Pip filled the plasticware with his Water Spout, then held it up to the child with an insistent chirp.

”That’s…sweet of you Pip-Pip,” they said with a grimace, then turned back to paxton concordas and luka chêne. “Locke. Pleasure to meet ya both.”

A panting Doug leaned on his knees, eyes wide.

"Did I... lose m'touch with nature?" He muttered to himself, not realizing the cruelty of mechanics.

Stumbling around in a thirsty daze, the youth eventually collapsed somewhere in the middle of the forest, leaning against a tree, resigining himself to dying of thirst.

Or more likely, to going back to the camp in defeat and shame and ask somebody luckier for some water.

"Man, that would be so lame though..." He groaned, hanging his head.

And finding a Skwovet near his lap in the process.

"Huh?" He uttered a moment later, staring at the cheeky thing in confusion.

Was it here to console him...?

The answer was no. The thing's cheek inflated with the telltale signs of cheek-pouches-

Before it began spitting berry-seeds at high speed.

"Ouch, ouchoUCHOUCH, SONOVA-!"

As Luka explained the weird custom, and Malus chirped something friendly, he felt heat slowly pour onto his face and reach back up to his ears. His expression is calm, but it’s clear that the man was blushing hard at the realization he had pseudo proposed to a girl he barely knew. “O-Oh. Yeah…it’s…pretty cute.” He conceded slowly looking away. He turned back to the other trainer and attempted a polite smile. “Nice to meet you then.” He said with a little laugh at them and their pokemon. [break][break]

“I’m not sure I’ll be able to find water like this.” He said looking back down at @mika before up at his companions. He felt the end of his energy reserves coming. With a small grunt he hefts the child in his lap onto Locke Jamison ’s before standing up and dusting himself off. “I think I’ll be heading off then. Hope to see you soon.” He said offering niceties. He carefully picked Malus the Applin back up setting the little dragon type on his shoulder. “Be safe. If anyone is heading back to Foretree I can walk you there.” He said as he turned away to grab his backpack and set off into the dark.

Most campers slither into sleeping bags underneath the stars weald above, or slink behind the cover of a tent for added peace of mind. The charred embers of untended bonfires flicker and scatter waning cinders popping and hissing into the brisk night's air. The Scoutmaster locks up the facilities to avoid break-ins from unsavory, wild pokemon before turning in for the night.[break][break]

It's all so very peaceful, a word that is rarely afforded so much as an utterance here in Hoenn. But for the night at least they can expect to be treated to nothing more than the twinkle of the night's sky and the glow of their fires. Despite the odd cry of a wild pokemon in the distance echoes of the forest, nothing will harm them here. Would that Hoenn had more nights like these...[break][break][break][break][break][break]
