The longer the festivities carry on for, the more littering can be expected. The bottom of the wharf is teeming with shellfish, but it's also occupied by a host of plastic: Clipped fishing line, waste plastic, and sometimes lost fishing rods or forgotten crabbing cages. It's hard to tell how old they are, but the need to remove them is present.[break][break]

Unsurprisingly nature claims its dominion regardless, growing algae and barnacles clinging to the sides of some of man's waste. He tucks what remains mostly untouched into a fishing net, dragging it along through the water, while leaving what remains have become overgrown.[break][break]

While doing his civic duty, he spots something glimmering.[break][break]
