So it tore him knowing that he might not be able to find one. Sure, he might've had several already for all he knew, but it was the thought that counted. Besides, he hoped they would remind him of when he lived and dressed more luxurious. Pearls were valuable and resplendent on their own, but he could imagine a few ways for Rowan to capitalize on owning a few Clamperl beyond the obvious exploitation.[break][break]

The sunset shed its brilliant gold over the calm waters of Slateport Beach, sun-crowned waves coming to lap at Skyler's bare feet. She's sat on the edge of golden sands with Dorado at her side, still dripping from her dip in the ocean.

"Not the most profitable, but at least it was fun."

There were more swimming lessons scheduled for the near future. Dorado had quickly become her right-hand cat, so to speak. And if he wanted to truly fulfill his destiny of becoming the fiercest pirate of all of Hoenn, he needed at the very least not to sink the minute he dived into the ocean.

For his part, the deranged-looking feline looked entirely too satisfied, even smug, about the idea of spending some more time with his captain.
