Keiga's upright swimming orientation necessitated special riding gear different from most aquatic mounts; her saddle was taller in the back than it was in front. It was worth the extra cost, though; the Kingdra had already proven her niche in getting to a hard-to-access corner of the reef and getting Josh a real treasure! She surfaced and celebrated by harmlessly shooting a cloud of DRAGON BREATH from her snout as Josh cast his line to one side of the aquatic dragon.

And... that would be an Octillery. As amusingly fitting as such a Pokémon would be among the others, Night had no real purpose for it, nor did he have a desire to simply have one just for the point of having one. And so just like quite a chunk of the others he'd reeled in. The Octopus would be released, and another line cast.

One of Shalin's primary motivations to finish was not festival ranking, but obtaining a second Water-type Pokémon. Levy was great at what he did, but his size made him prohibitive to use in narrower bodies of water, such as smaller rivers. Perhaps she would hook something that fit that niche tonight!

There had to be some sort of cosmic being that was pointing and laughing at him right now. The sheer number of large—and rather... goofy looking pokémon that he'd managed to fish up already was just getting comical. Though as fascinating as it was to stare eye-to-eye with the large Huntail... That wasn't exactly what he was searching for, and so he'd just... kinda shoo it away with his hands.

Surely someone was getting a laugh out of this, as yet another line was cast.

Another small one. Maybe it was just because these smaller ones were easier to catch than the larger ones, though Hideo wouldn't mind another big catch like that Gyarados.

Though now that he thought of it, would it really be a good idea to take along a Gyarados that big? It was probably gonna be hell to feed.

But the novelty of a massive Pokemon like this was difficult to ignore.

Perhaps he'd find another?

Though the unusually large Wishiwashi was a sight to behold, it was not enough to hold Zev's interest.[break][break]

Starting to feel restless, Zev put down his fishing rod for a moment and started the engine on his boat. He drove it to another spot where more boats were gathered, though he did not get too near them. A larger vessel was blasting music from its speakers, and though Zev did not recognize the song playing at the moment, it was a nice change of scenery from before. "... the heck is this?" Mumbled the youth as he held the wishi-washi between index and thumb, brows furrowed together in disappointment. "Goddamn it."

The youth grumbled, gently dropping it into yet another leaf bucket as he looked around. How was everyone else doing...?

Oh hey, there's ... with a tiny gyarados.

"Damn it." Doug sulked, nonexistent tears of jealousy running down his cheeks as he looked away.

"Huh?" He uttered, gaze falling upon . He grinned teasingly, waving her way. "Heya! Didn't think ya would've time to be here! Doesn't your boss have a ban on fun or somethin'?"

"Woah! Uh, give me a sec!" Doug yelped as his rod was suddenly pulled at, nearly throwing him off the pier before his Leavanny caught him with vines, several other of his pokemon grabbing onto him and pulling back. Several grunts followed as they all groaned, before with a forceful yank-

A giant shadow was casted over Doug's pier.

"Oh shit." He uttered blankly as he looked up at the giant Wailord slowly descending upon him. "OH SHIT!"

He threw a net ball on reflex, saving himself an embarrassing death.

"... Uh, say that again?"
