The glimpse of gold caught him off guard at first, truthfully speaking.[break][break]

And yet, even then, he had been prepared with yet another capsule in hand, tapping it against the creature's head as he pulled it from its aquatic dwellings. Within its flashes of reds and whites did he watch the fish become enveloped by the Pokeball awaiting it, though in the midst of its rarely colored scales, he simply eyed the device before opting to set it closer to his seat for safekeeping.[break][break]

He clicked his tongue upon seeing the next creature at the end of his line.[break]
Needless to say, he hadn't been entirely impressed.[break][break]

After some thought (likely in regards to how well of a dinner platter it could serve in), he simply reached over with a touch of impatience, batting at the fish several times amidst its flailing before managing to unhook it from the end of the fishing line. A heavy sigh left his lips as he leaned aside towards his bait.[break][break]

After affixing another bit to the hook, he set the bob and sinker into the distance again.[break][break]

He needed to finalize the newest EP, and soon, he anticipated maybe another two days of being entirely in the office, might as well take a nap while on this trip as well.

Not exactly what he was looking for.

After setting the fish back into the water (see, , even he could tolerate sitting down for long stretches of time and being quiet) he cast the line out again, watching as it broke the surface with a tiny splashing noise.

This one actually put up a bit of a struggle: a small Gyarados was still a Gyarados. But a timely Psychic from his Beheeyem, and a very stern glare from the massive Gyarados he'd already reeled in, and Hideo had caught yet another Pokemon.

Yet he would still fish, to find what else was in the sea.

When at last she felt a significant biting response, she reeled in the line as quickly and efficiently as she could manage, though the rod definitely bent and curved at times as the fish Pokemon she'd hooked fought back. Finally, she landed the fish on the pier and took a look at her catch, wondering if it might be a keeper.

It had been a while since he indulged in fishing. Though he fancied himself a bugcatcher, living in the seaside metropolis that was Slateport for the bulk of his time in Hoenn had left him with precious few options for how to spend his time in truancy.

"Come on, come on! It should be like ridin' a bike!" The youth grumbled to himself as he stood by the port with rod in hand, having gotten precious little so far. "BITE ALREADY!"

Besides him, Raki, too, sat with a rod in hand, yanking back with palpable gusto to reveal his latest prize: A boot.

"My, we'll have enough to start of a shop soon..." The man noted with a thin smile as he looked over the puppy's shoulder, were several other damp footwear were to be found.

Dull pain crept its way into Julia's skull as she reeled in her next catch. The Bruxish she reeled in didn't look very happy about its current situation. "Sorry!" Julia said, rubbing her temples with one hand. "Here, let me just..." She removed the hook from her latest catch and set the Gnash Teeth Pokémon back into the ocean, where it swam deeper into the water. Julia sighed in relief as the ache in her head subsided. Okay, hopefully her next catch wouldn't be quite so angry... or able to give psychic headaches if it was mad.

Despite the effort Zev expended reeling the Wishiwashi out of the water, he quickly released it, dissatisfied with the catch. With increased skill — he had never fished before, though a quick video on the Internet told him everything he needed to know — he cast his fishing line further out. [break][break]

The lapping of water against his boat was peaceful, and some harmless clouds passed overhead, blocking out the sun for a short while. Zev felt more and more recharged now that he had spent a little time alone. He still had another hour or two to kill before had had to return to work, though, which he intended to spend without any other company. [break][break]
