SECRET BASES have returned to Hoenn with a bang! With the looming threat of the meteoroid gone, some people who had sought shelter in abandoned bases during those turbulent times had their passion for decorating reignited. Public interest in base-making has drastically risen as a result, making this once neglected hobby feel hip and fresh again.

Sales of Pokémon plushies have skyrocketed, while trainers throughout the region are on the lookout for cool or hard-to-reach places to build their Secret Bases upon. Back in the day, trainers could only build their bases in caves or on treetops, but now the sky’s the limit. Even one’s own house could serve as a Secret Base with enough redecorating.

In light of these developments, the League in association with FORTREE RANGERS HQ and CAPTAIN Guillermo Marceliño have announced a competition for the masses, which they dubbed SUPER SECRET BASE FLAGVENTURES out of a name randomly picked from an online poll. The objective is for trainers to visit as many Secret Bases as possible, capture their FLAGS, and trade them for various prizes in the FLAG EXCHANGE SHOP set up in the treetop city.

SECRET BASE CREATION

To participate in this event, you MUST create a Secret Base thread for your character. You may create the thread in any IC board, EXCEPT 'OUTSIDE HOENN'.

The first post of your thread may be used to describe what your base looks like. You may include pictures, but that is optional. The following information MUST be included somewhere in the first post:

1. Secret Base Guardian: a Pokémon from your character’s PC designated to act as the base’s guard dog, warding off intruders.
2. Decorations: dolls, paintings, sculptures, furniture, potted plants, etc.
3. Traps (if any): some examples of traps include pitfalls, water balloons, as well as decoy items meant to bamboozle visitors (a fake flag, a fake PC, etc.)

Whether they’re filled with cutesy decorations, works of art, or riddled with boobytraps to prank unsuspecting visitors, Secret Bases can serve as reflections of one’s character, so feel free to customize your base to best fit their aesthetic.

Post a link to your Secret Base as a reply to this thread, so that others can easily find it, as well as a tally of how many FLAGS you have collected and from whom. A list of all Secret Bases will also be included in the first post of this thread, and updated regularly.

Secret Base threads are treated as OPEN MEGATHREADS that other characters can join at any time. Upon posting in someone else’s Secret Base, you can collect a FLAG from them (your character does not have to ICly capture the flag). You can only collect 1 FLAG per base.

FLAG EXCHANGE SHOP

You can exchange FLAGS you collect from Secret Bases for the following items. These items can be exchanged multiple times. Redeem them in the site shop. Make sure to subtract the flag amount from your total.

	1 FLAG[break] can be exchanged for 1x TM Secret Power.
	2 FLAGS[break] can be exchanged for 10 PD.
	5 FLAGS[break] can be exchanged for 3x pokeballs.
	10 FLAGS[break] can be exchanged for 1x gacha ticket.
	15 FLAGS[break] can be exchanged for 1x incense.
	20 FLAGS[break] can be exchanged for 1x premium gacha ticket.
	25 FLAGS[break] can be exchanged for 1x eight-week berry of your choice (immediately usable).
	30 FLAGS[break] can be exchanged for 1x tera shard of your choice.

In addition, while posting in Secret Base threads, you may fulfill one of the SECRET PROMPTS listed below. Only 1 PROMPT may be fulfilled per post.
