Here they were - lap two! El let out a sharp exhale as they were able to go back upright after the dizzying inversion - the excitement and adrenaline making their grip on Akero's reins shake a bit. "Look at us go, Akero!" They'd call, unable to help a giddy laugh. "Just two laps to go - we can do it!" Even just completing the race would be something, if you asked them..!

But just ahead, they could see as they were gradually approaching @elio from behind - catching up to his gyarados, and challenging his 7th place position. As Akero came within earshot of Leviathan, she would whistle to him in a cheery greeting - expressing the sheer enjoyment she was having!

(The excitement of the crowd may have been more than just a little contagious, for the emotion-sensitive togekiss!)

But coming up fast, a number of Alexei's pokemon were making a wind tunnel of sorts for their next obstacle...! As tempting as it was to tell Akero to speed on through with Extremespeed or Tailwind though - with them being able to boost now - they had a feeling that'd just result in them crashing into Elio. Instead, anticipating a potential bump or two, they'd call "Safeguard, Akero - let's play it safe!"

Whistling in affirmative, Akero briefly gestured with his wings, a protective glow settling over togekiss and rider both. Hopefully this would do them well, for the tunnel ahead..!

Oscar's demented cackle would sail through the air as Lancer aced the obstacle. He knew he could do it, mother fucker was a master-class flyer! The thrill of the race elated Oscar without end, and his searing laughter would follow him as he capped off the first lap! Boosts were now legal, so it was time for Oscar to prove himself as a true contender!

Oscar leaned in, his manic grin becoming somehow wider. "Lancer!" He called over the sound of rushing wind, "Agility!" Lancer took off like a shot, soaring at pace so fast that Oscar's cheeks would begin to ripple from the g-force. It was a grand trick, but it risked plastering the both of them against a wall if Oscar could not keep control.

The mad pilot's test would be coming up quickly, as a mighty Tailwind could easily send the duo off course! Luckily, they had the fat ass of MATIAS SILPH 's dragonite in front of them. If they could stay behind the chunky dragon for long enough, they would make it through this obstacle unscathed!

Alec had once again been passed, going back to Fifth Place, but he had no intention of staying there for long."If you wanna play dirty," Alec said, pulling out his TERA ORB, wasting no time in activating it. "Then let's play dirty!" Alec says with a grin as the Terestal energy enveloped around Veta's body, encasing her body in a plaid crystalline sheen, changing her typing to a pure NORMAL type, hopefully allowing her to push through the opposing TAILWIND with ease.

As soon as Josh and his glowing Dragonair crossed the line, the race had changed completely. He was in his element. Out of everyone in the race, he felt he had the highest speed tolerance. That title would have gone to Eva Morales if she had returned, and Josh was a bit baffled as to why she didn't enter! Perhaps she was just inundated with other projects. As much as he wanted to take advantage of the Terastal Dragonair's enhanced turning to Extreme Speed around some of the more shallow curves, he was smart enough to respect his own limits. It was the fastest--well, second fastest--Pokémon technique in the world for a reason. Instead, he kept the Dragonair close to her top speed, letting out a loud grunt at every brutal back-and-forth shift that left him momentarily dazed. Even with a cocoon saddle keeping Josh from falling, the constant undulation of the dragon-type's serpentine back was vertigo-inducing.

The upcoming curves were familiar, Josh ready to have his Dragonair floor with a Terastal-powered burst of Extreme Speed. All of a sudden, a brutal wind swirled around Resheph and the Gym Leader, several of the Birdfather's Pokémon adding difficulty to the already harsh course by exposing its turns to a TAILWIND... or in their case, a crosswind. It was not a steady gale, either; high variance in velocity, not just raw speed, forced Josh to make almost constant micro-adjustments. Purple dragon energy began to surround the Dragonair. "Not yet, girl!" Josh shouted, though he wasn't sure Resheph could even hear him. "We've gotta get through this in one piece!" Even the reins in his hands whipped in the wind, simply steering proving to be a challenge in wind that would have exceeded safety limits anywhere else on the circuit.

Even as Alec's dragonite finish terastallizing; managing to get through the TAILWIND while passing a couple of the racers ahead of him. He had a feeling that terastallizing Veta would've been much better than trying anything else. What's more is that the next incoming obstacle seemed relatively easier than the other obastacles they've gone through so far in the race, which only meant one thing.

"Veta! Extremespeed, now!" Alec said while making sure to hold onto his Dragonite, cuz she's was about to move at much faster speed thus far in the race, and he had seen just how fast Veta moved while Terastallized, so he'd rather not violently fall off of her as she began to move at a super-high speed. He didn't think he would win the race, but that didn't mean he wasn't gonna make it easy for the other competitors either.

The windtunnel was a hectic one - but even as other racers passed El by, they were glad that they didn't crash into anyone. The red gyarados zipping past had been a close call - but even then, the most El had to worry about then was a small amount of whiplash. As they cleared the tunnel though, the stretch ahead was open and free - the perfect place for Akero to let loose. "You ready, buddy?" El questioned - reaching to pet her neck.

And the togekiss' joyous whistle was all that they needed, to know that they'd be having fun in just a moment. "Tailwind, Akero!"

A flap of his wings, and Akero would summon a great gust of wind under his wings - carrying the both of them onwards at high speeds. The fairy-type trilled with excitement all the while, alongside the eager whoop of his trainer..!
