[nospaces] [attr="class","omgen"] [attr="class","omgentop"]CHASE FOR THE SILPH CUP [attr="class","omgenmid"] FORTREE CITY MEMBER-LED EVENT STARTS MARCH 6 ENDS LATE MAY [player]https://fi.zophar.net/soundfiles/nintendo-gamecube-gcn/f-zero-gx/210a%20-%20One%20Ahead%20System%20%28Cosmo%20Terminal%29.mp3[/player] One Ahead System - F-ZERO GX OFFICIAL SOUNDTRACK FORTREE CITY[break] Ordeal[break] Difficulty: ★★★★★☆[break] COURSE RECORD: 05'36"690[break][break] A HEAD-SPINNING TWIST! LOOMING AHEAD WAS a combination of obstacles that might make even veteran Pokémon pilots feel queasy: a right turn combined with a corkscrew! The sensation racers would feel, particularly those inexperienced with being on flying Pokémon, was alien and potentially sickness-inducing. Blood rushed to the riders' heads as the horizon rotated with their mounts' bodies.[break][break]
EVEN FOR ADEPT FLYING POKEMON, flying upside down was something very few Pokémon could sustain for long. The TALONFLAME that kyle lopez and lam logan were atop, soared as high as course bounds would allow before blasting heat from the blazing wings, riding their own thermals to stay aloft whilst flying upside-down. While kyle lopez 's SHADOW TALONFLAME took a more cautious approach, it was lam logan 's TERASTALLIZING TALONFLAME that found the ideal angle to attack the ring formations. Though his head was spinning by the end of the beautifully-executed twist, the burning bird had advanced to NINTH PLACE, passing the trio of SONIKKU, Julia Davis , and Elise Calcifet . The TOGEKISS had a hard time holding the inverted flight long enough to stay flying at full speed, and the SALAMENCE and NOIVERN had a hard time entering the inversion, their bodies simply not designed to fly upside down. olliver samovar and his METAGROSS suffered the worst fate of all; the Steel-type simply could not make the turn while inverted, floating out of bounds and bouncing off many trees beyond. Medical teams would later find out he was okay, but for now, the scientist would find himself ELIMINATED FROM THE RACE.[break][break] THE CROWD WAS BEDAZZLED by how cleanly oscar clayton 's BEEDRILL rotated its body; cameras flashed as the buzzing insect displayed magnificent control over its rapidly-beating wings even while upside down. Coasting on its momentum as long as possible, it came out of the inversion in a burst of intense vibration that vaulted the duo skyward and made the utility tycoon's hair stand on end. The maneuvers of MATIAS SILPH 's DRAGONITE were equally impressive, his command to urge the short-winged dragon to speed through the twist daring but rewarding. The commentary booth erupted in awe: one analyst remarked the Volatile was lucky not to have crashed, while the other praised him for a maneuver that, if repeated every lap, would make the team serious contenders for a win.[break][break]
AS THE NARROW HOMESTRETCH CAME, the chaos of the gut-wrenching corkscrew sowed the seeds of chaos for @elio and his GYARADOS. Try as the mobster might, he was unable to get the water-type to fully invert. An official waved a black flag over the starting line, an indicator that a time penalty would be enforced against the team. Julia Davis and her SALAMENCE narrowly avoided a similar fate, their barrel roll so slow that they almost didn't come out of the inversion in time.[break][break]
INTENSE BATTLES FOR POSITION raged as several teams of pilot and Pokémon crossed the starting line. Alexei Ivanov and alec foster , astride their SALAMENCE and DRAGONITE, traded FOURTH AND FIFTH PLACE back and forth, flying close enough to one another to feel the wake of each others' wings. El Sunderland and their TOGEKISS had caught all the way up to @elio , floating alongside his GYARADOS in a battle for SEVENTH PLACE. Andrea Vaneau and her SHINY GYARADOS dueled Julia Davis for TENTH PLACE, while SONIKKU and Elise Calcifet battled at the back of the pack for TWELFTH PLACE. kyle lopez 's SHADOW TALONFLAME held the lead going into boost laps, but Josh Devlin and his TERASTALLIZED DRAGONAIR were gaining on them fast! As the teams crossed the starting line, a prerecorded voice blared through the outdoor Gym's sound system. The one-liner was a sign that the race was about to get a lot faster, and a lot more chaotic.[break][break]

"YOU GOT BOOST POWER!"
YOU GOT BOOST POWER!You Got Boost Power! Speed-increasing moves, such as QUICK ATTACK, AGILITY, and EXTREME SPEED are now allowed. Pokémon will be able to use such speed-increasing moves a number of times up to their Endurance ranks for the rest of the race. Speed-increasing moves will grant you ADVANTAGE for the posting round, meaning you will [ roll ] four times instead of two for that post and ignore the lower set of rolls. Please separate the first two rolls from the second two rolls with a delimiter of some kind.[break][break]
Beware! Taking tight turns and stamina-draining Obstacles at high speeds can result in dire consequences, and may impose DISADVANTAGE, meaning the lower of the two rolls will be taken. If the lower of the two rolls would still pass the Obstacle, Track Position for that Obstacle will be calculated based on the higher of the two rolls.[break][break]
If you have a Z-Move that could be reasonably used as an extreme burst of speed, your Pokémon may use it once for the rest of the race. This will consume two uses of Boost. On the Obstacle the Z-Move is used on, you will NOT need to roll; your Pokémon's roll will be treated as an automatic 200.
LAP 2 | OBSTACLE 1
Prompt: After a brutal series of curves on the opening stretch, it appeared the course was at last going to give the racers a break; the presence of gentle turns looked like a good opportunity to boost. When teams dove into the shallow curves, though, they would find themselves battered by an intense, shifting crosswind fueled by several of Alexei Ivanov 's Gym Pokémon using TAILWIND! Getting blown off course was a real threat, and flying over or under it would prove to be impossible! It was almost like an invisible air tunnel ran through the whole section of the course, testing racers' coordination, balance, and control! Using other racers as a shield could help, too![break][break]
Target Number: 175 (Reaction)[break][break]
Special: The Target Number of this Obstacle is reduced by an additional 5 for every Pokémon ahead of them in the race. Any TP loss resulting from a Pokémon rolling beneath this Obstacle's Target Number is multiplied by 1.5.[break][break]
