Man this went from 0 to 100 real quick. Then again this did seem like a typical bad guy route in anything related to RPGs, at least the ones that Kaz has ever played. Still he already sold himself off as a member of Team Rocket in this route so...why not go full on evil with it? Maybe it'll be fun. Won't be fun for his soul later though.

Makoto stared at the screen for a few long moments - unable to help their stomach briefly churning. This was a Rocket at its peak, a Rocket without the opposition to stop it. Would the Rocket branch here do the same, if things were to escalate enough? To slaughter all who stood before them, and leave cities wrecked in their wake?

The idea of killing someone else - it made their heart twist in an unpleasant fashion. This was a game, though - even if based upon what was likely nonfiction, it was still a game, right? To kill him... This person was likely already dead, by now.

But whilst the man's death was likely a given - and the right choice - another choice seemed curious to them. We should force the gym leader to join Team Rocket. How would that go, they wondered?

Seeing the man ask whatever intel a grunt would find on the sidewalk and told them to cease their nonsense, she was asked to follow him in the game’s route. As the player of this special, yet grisly route of the chaotic conflict in Celadon City, she would be taken to an assembly where a light-haired man dressed in floral clothing would be held by a large purple snake. This captured man was the gym leader of Celadon City as the options appeared on the screen when the admin was talking of what they should do with the gym leader.[break][break]

The woman didn’t know much of what the gym leader of Celadon City really did, but there was something terrible that killing someone wouldn’t really cross her mind. She would pick the option that appeared to be a more peaceful option, but she did wonder if this was the way they could spare him.[break][break]

The route continued. Elinor watched. She felt a tightening in her stomach as the next bit came up. All too close to home was this. This was a look into the real Rocket. The Rocket she feared would come if she did not work tirelessly.

Judge, jury and executioner. No proper trial for the innocent man that she was now offered options on how to deal with. Wether the accusations were real or not, mattered little without proper trial.

But that was not the Rocket way. She had to remember that.

A Kantonian Gym leader? Leo picked the last option. Not out of mercy, mind you. If that man truly was as corrupt as their boss claimed, then his skills could be put to good use under Rocket. Not to mention the psychological factor of having one of the League's own converted to Rocket.

Was this an interpretation of a region lost or a sneak peek into the truth? Of a future that was awaiting Hoenn, if they let Team Rocket to continue eating at their shores?

Regardless, it adds a splash of further detail to the picture that Eva Morales's publicised report had provided the Hoenn populace.

Gym Leaders were powerful trainers. Josh knew, as he worked hard to be among their ranks. Not only did he strengthen his challengers, but his challengers strengthened him. Every challenger he took on, win or lose, made him a better fighter. Surely Admin Declan had to realize this. Why kill a Gym Leader when he could make them useful? Such a strong trainer could be a real asset to Team Rocket. Surely hanging the most agonizing execution imaginable over his head would let him see the ways of Team Rocket.

Josh was growing more and more convinced that if this Declan wasn't directly responsible for Raikou's death, he had a great influence in that decision. The innocents weren't the one Josh needed to go after. It was this... thing. It wasn't even right to call Declan a human. Declan was a monster. A blight on not just Hoenn, but the entire world. He scowled, setting his phone down and shaking his fist. There was no place in the world for a psychopath like declan walsh .

Especially not one that murdered his god.

Since he’d spent most of his time in Alola, he knew precious little about what had gone down in Kanto—having engaged with the collection of tales and his further studies on lore around the region.
