the only clues left on the scene were shards of the rusted sword and shield, contaminated by the beasts of ruination. before this minuscule lead vanishes, benefactors of the pokejob decided to strike while the iron is hot.

it rained that day. any scent trail left by the legendary pokemon would have been faint, if they had left any in the first place. clinging on that possibility that there was, dog pokemon were sent out to try and find any.

kyle's mightyena was among the many that took the offer with the promise of finding something relevant with the search.

despite the amount of dogs he could play with, the pokemon remained on task. this was a job, and the mightyena was trained to be a professional. furthermore, it was one of the most capable on the field, being someone who had been there when it happened.

scents of galar remain on its memory banks. it was just a matter of matching them with a trail that paired with the rusted shield shards that littered the site of the battle during that day.

THE ZAMAZENTA & ZACIAN that were last seen near Route 120 are the subjects of many curious trainers. Investigators. Collectors. Regardless of your trainers' motives, local organizations have asked for help in tracking the whereabouts of these Hero Dogs with dogs of your own. Any intel is appreciated.

Following behind kyle lopez 's Mightyena and the rest of the horde, Beanbean would run while scanning the area for any sights of the rumored Galarian dogs' endeavors. It hadn't been too far of a venture from his home in Fortree, only a minute's run away, and the breeze felt calming- but he had a job to do, even if he was the type to participate in puppy cuddle puddles. Not being in the presence of Desiree felt a tad weird, especially without his saddle on his back, but her bribery of little heart-shaped treats when the job was complete was more than enough for him to venture out into the woods. With each jump over a fallen log, the Arcanine would imagine there was a treat up in the air waiting for him, even if those chomps led to nothingness in the moment.[break][break]

Using his EXTREME SPEED to his fullest extent, he'd barrel through the edge of the forest in an attempt to notice any fragmentals of ancient swords, shields, or even a strange footprint or two. Splashes from his quick movement would scatter into the surrounding flora, reminding him of his origins as a little pup in the woods with his original pack. Those were the times.[break][break]

Though Ettie was still in an odd state of mourning - one where she did not even seem to wholly understand the source of her grief - the pack shared in the interest she had showed in Zacian and Zamazenta. If the chance was there that there was still some form of trail to follow, some way to track down even the smallest hint of either legendary beast...

... Well, Madame was determined to reveal it.

The female wasted no time in taking control of the search - barking commands to direct the other canids present. All the while, she took point in leading the charge - breathing deeply as she attempted to sniff out even the smallest trace of the duo with Odor Sleuth.

Her prey wouldn't escape her notice for long...

Who knows if they’ll find anything? All Navy knows is that action is better than inaction. Striking out is better than standing still. He follows behind Kyle, Voyager in tow. It hasn’t been long and he’s already back here, near the very spot where he fell into a dream of another life.[break][break]
Voyager looks up to him expectantly, waiting on something, anything, to help point him in the right direction. The rain didn’t help. Whatever they smell like, that smell will be dominated by nature and rainwater.[break][break]
There’s only one hope, and it’s slim. Navy reaches into his pocket and pulls out fragments of the rusted sword. He doesn’t understand why he picked it up. He doesn’t understand much of anything he did in the hours after the incident at the ancient tomb. It speaks to the character of the council that they didn’t badger him for up and leaving…[break][break]
…or it would if they, too, hadn’t faced their own demons that day.[break][break]
“Here, boy. Sniff these and help Alpha.” Voyager sniffs, taking what scent he can, and rushes to do as instructed. The dog’s a good boy, no mistaking that. He runs off to give Kyle’s Mightyena, a Pokemon he’s known since their trainers met one another, a helping hand. Perhaps between the scents of sword and shield, they’ll find something.[break][break]
And if they don’t, at least it gives Navy a chance to think.

Well, back on cleanup duty, it goes. While Josh had been a background player in these world-ending threats for some time, he was fine with that. He was able to help with putting the world back together after spending all these years trying to keep it together in the first place. And today, his method of doing so was to put his Arcanine's nose to work in tracking down the "heroic dogs" that these folks had been talking about. Apparently they had made an appearance but he was still going over these reports regarding such.

The only clue they had? Shards that carried the scent. But others were on the scene too, so it was going to get crowded quickly. Especially when he had a fairly sizeable Arcanine on his side that was bound to catch attention. "Shall we, Buddy?" the ranger questioned regardless. The dog had been down on itself since the Gym Battle with Little Josh, so this seemed like a good chance for him to get out there and have a chance to cheer up and feel like it had accomplished something.

If they could just catch the scent, maybe if he hopped on Buddy's back, they could blaze through the pack and get ahead, and investigate unimpeded.

The thought crosses his mind— that maybe if he can help find some answers, the result will help his best friend, Genevieve Cromwell, with the remnants of the event that linger with her. That haunt her, and dim her cheerfulness.[break][break]

Honey chases after the rest, her COMPETITIVE nature promoting her to keep up in the hunt for more clues, even if her nose wasn’t the keenest of the bunch, or her eyes the sharpest. The boltund was speedy enough, though, and set to darting around the open area—dropping her nose to the ground whenever she reached a new space.[break][break]

Lam trailed after her, keeping an eye on her movement and the swish of her tail. Just to make sure he notices if she takes off after catching the scent of something important.

A request for canine’s with exepctional scent tracking abilities was requested to try and locate the two legendary dogs, zacian and zamazenta. And with Maverick’s reputation of having many canine’s at his disposal, it didn’t surprised the burnt scarred man that he was specifically contacted for this job. Also, anything to do with the two hero canine’s also got the man’s attention. Although the man was still unclear if it was all a dream or real, those years he spend in galar have driven him to want the canine.

Out of all the canine’s he owned, it was Azula who had the greatest ability to track down scents. The massive six foot seven hell hound was no stranger to this type of job. Nostrils flared as the scent was offered to her, pulling the smell through the tiny holes of the rapidash skull she worn over her own. By her side, one of her latest offspring took in the scent as well. The shadow houndoom was in training with her mom.

It was only after all dogs got the sniff of what little there was from the broken pieces of rusted sword and shield did they release them into route 120. And with all the other canine’s who were also sent, Azula was quick to try and get to them source before them. Using her ODOR SLEUTH move, the HOUNDOOM began to search in hopes to find what her master was looking for. But will they find anything? They could only hope.

The Greavard would be sent to help track down any remnants of the whereabouts of the Galarian Heroes in which they were last seen leaving the Ancient Tomb together. Elise herself was one of the people who were affected by being in the alternate reality of ‘Galar’ and had stayed in Hammerlocke for 20 years. A longer amount of time that had been spent without the presence of her ex boyfriend though the Galarian ambassador still soldiers on in with working in the Galarian embassy.[break][break]

Nevertheless, Atropos uses Helping Hand to sniff around for clues on the ground. A wag of the Greavard’s tail would signal that she was excitedly trying her best in attempting to find clues like the rest of the other canine Pokemon even if she didn’t have any other moves that could help. Her paws try to dig out any other evidence that could show where the Hero duo may be whether it could be some older artifacts that the two hounds left behind or something else that may point to that direction.
