She holds onto the reins of her Corviknight when Alfred found himself grounded near the uneven ground of the cave they were in. An issue would arise that the metal raven couldn’t hover in the air more than a few inches off the ground. Feelings of small panic cover her body when she would have to try to get through this without thinking that she would fall somewhere that the others wouldn’t reach her. Still, the royal Galarian Ambassador keeps her composure through having her Corviknight use his feet to run on the ground for now.[break][break]

Though this was the most oddest way to get through the race, Elise was trying to make sure that her Corviknight didn’t end up with putting both of them in danger. Alfred the Corviknight tries to avoid any uneven spaces that the ground would have and treads carefully while the other racers were passing by her.[break][break]

Like the league dog he was, they called and he answered.[break][break]

Crimson colored orbs glared at the swarm of hearten that funneled through the cavern, brows furred in mild puzzlement as to why they appeared to be fleeing the area. Some of them merely skirting by, while others engaged in battles with them. “Azula,” the man mumbled, the six foot seven houndoom leaping before her trainer as a stream of red hot flames came at him. The canine took in a deep breath, letting loose her own blast of flames to redirect the flames that streamed towards them. The two attacks collided, an inferno of fire only for the fire blast to win the fight and blast the heatran with fire. But before Azula nor the heatran could continue their battle, Maverick was quick to change direction. “Let’s go Azula. We don’t have time.” The hell hound snorted, snarling at the heatran before darting after her human.[break][break]

Once pass the swarm of heatran, the tunnel opened to a vast clearing. The sounds of dripping water from stalactites hit his ear drums. Long arrow tipped tail twitched behind the canine like an angry cat, Azura’s own ruby colored orbs scanned the area for trouble. In the center, the brunt scarred man spots the strong lettering. He observes as others press forward, some more careful than others. For when some of them crossed a path, the earth beneath their feet crumbles. That wasn’t good.[break][break]

With nothing to do other than press on, Maverick and his beloved houndoom choice a path. Each step careful, listening for signs of the earth weakening beneath their feet.[break][break]

RACE MECHANICS



RULES


THIS MEGATHREAD will test how well your faction can clear moderator requirements in a timely manner. [break][break]

each player and their representative pokemon is a resource for your faction to utilize. each round will introduce an obstacle that certain pokemon can clear. [break][break]

it is up to players to address these obstacles by following the moderator prompt. [break][break]

it should be noted that each participant can only post ONE TIME. once you have cleared an obstacle, you are essential ‘used up’. [break][break]


the EXCEPTION to this rule is if a participants wants to pay 500 MP. this will allow a player to assist with the obstacle without being ‘used up’. [break][break]

each faction will tackle the same obstacles with different values to reflect the disparity in players. once an obstacle is cleared, a moderator will provide information on which players cleared that particular obstacle. [break][break]

those player may now create a FACTION RACE BATTLE. this is just a battle thread that allows both participants to earn MP.

WHICH OBSTACLE SHOULD I CLEAR?

if your pokemon is versatile, you should pick an obstacle your pokemon excels at. for the first round, players with the heaviest pokemon for their faction were tagged as a hint. if no obstacle sticks out, you may want to wait just to ensure your faction does not hit a bottleneck.

however, account for the OOC aspects of this event. if you do not think you will be available later on, or cannot finish a FACTION RACE BATTLE quickly, you may want to clear an obstacle asap.

WHY WOULD I PAY 500 MP TO HELP CLEAR?

to help your faction progress in the event! should one faction fall behind by the end of the event, this will have an effect on the narrative outcome.

another reason you may want to contribute is to post again. some players may enjoy the spotlight or feeling that their character is actively contributing to their faction. however, it should be noted that this does not entitle paying players to rewards or moderated acknowledgement.

your faction may run low on resources the longer this event goes on. if they stall due to a bottleneck, that would be the most opportune time to assist. likewise, if your faction is coming close to a deadline, your help may ensure that they clear it on time.

both faction are attempting to clear obstacles by deadline. should they be unable to, they will face a steeper obstacle or just have to wait longer before the next moderator response. should a large enough gap happen by the end of the event, this will heavily influence the narrative outcome of the event.

WHY IS THERE A DEADLINE INSTEAD OF ASKING US TO MOD REQ WHEN COMPLETED?

the deadline gives both factions X amount of time to clear. should they be unable to clear by deadline, they will be given a static time delay as well. this is to help mitigate the discrepancy in activity between players within a reasonable threshold along with accommodating varied time zones.

when the call came, she was forced to abandon her quarry. her hunt had taken her all around the island; mandatory breaks hadn't been used for catnaps or meals, rather she'd searched for an increasingly elusive underboss. it takes all of her concentration at first, to grasp the orders crackling in her earpiece. and then it's easier.[break][break]

battle comes naturally to rider and dragon. behind them, units spill along the length of the steel doors and they stand as the bulwark. molten flame drips from lyune's maw. while her own stomach growls with a hunger ignored for far too long, lyune's thrums with the coming anticipation of war.[break][break]

Gaining the far side of the chasm, Jack's feeling of relief was cut short as the sounds of activity echoed from the other side of the cave. Warily approaching the central chamber, Jack's mouth turned down at the sight of Rockets piling into the chamber like so many doppelgangers in their disguises, heading for the steel doors that barred the path forward. Breaking into a run, Jack made for the chamber as Magnezone zoomed along beside him.[break][break]

Turning toward the cluster of Rockets pushing for the doors, Jack nodded to his pokemon and pointed. Magnezone swiveled toward them, beeping in alarm as energy gathered in its twin magnets before the zap cannon fired a beam of electricity across the cavern in a flash.

Her hands go to her chest. The order came, and the redhead was more than ready with Frosty. Failure had graced her a number of times this mission, and missions in the past. But today, that wouldn't happen.[break][break]

Rockets were approaching the location. It was time to make a huge difference. Though trepidation makes it hard to cross, Frosty hoists her up and leaps as well as he can to get to the other side, before setting her down.[break][break]

The faster their approach, the more her heartbeat is in her ears. Her hazel eyes focus, and with a hand out, she eyes the Rocket's after she stands firm.[break][break]

Frosty, using both sizable arms, and swinging them down, leaps high into the air, the yeti's eyes pink and seeing red, and crashes towards the Rocket threat. Genny's eyes filled with a red hot determination.

The trek into the depths of the island was treacherous at best, and devastatingly awful at worst. Careful step by careful step, the league operatives made their way through each obstacle, and Yuina couldn't help but wonder what made this place, these traps and things weren't just made out of nothing, and they wouldn't have been placed so meticulously if there was nothing important here...[break][break]
Making it across the chasm that had seemed able to swallow anything that may have succumbed to its depths, the remainder of their party made it into a large chamber of sorts that seemed very pivotal in getting to the bottom of what this place was about... But they weren't alone. Releasing Rasza just in time, Yuina looked to the other side of the chamber where Rockets were filing in, and soon it was a free for all.[break]
The ranger moved forward with Rasza and a handful of others who were going to do their best to square up against their opposers, and at this point nothing but pure power was going to make the cut. Attacks began to volley through the chamber, it was an all out fire fight, and Yuina motioned Rasza forward as she took aim, releasing a Solar Beam that shrouded the opposing side of the cavern.

RACE MECHANICS



RULES


THIS MEGATHREAD will test how well your faction can clear moderator requirements in a timely manner. [break][break]

each player and their representative pokemon is a resource for your faction to utilize. each round will introduce an obstacle that certain pokemon can clear. [break][break]

it is up to players to address these obstacles by following the moderator prompt. [break][break]

it should be noted that each participant can only post ONE TIME. once you have cleared an obstacle, you are essential ‘used up’. [break][break]


the EXCEPTION to this rule is if a participants wants to pay 500 MP. this will allow a player to assist with the obstacle without being ‘used up’. [break][break]

each faction will tackle the same obstacles with different values to reflect the disparity in players. once an obstacle is cleared, a moderator will provide information on which players cleared that particular obstacle. [break][break]

those player may now create a FACTION RACE BATTLE. this is just a battle thread that allows both participants to earn MP.

WHICH OBSTACLE SHOULD I CLEAR?

if your pokemon is versatile, you should pick an obstacle your pokemon excels at. for the first round, players with the heaviest pokemon for their faction were tagged as a hint. if no obstacle sticks out, you may want to wait just to ensure your faction does not hit a bottleneck.

however, account for the OOC aspects of this event. if you do not think you will be available later on, or cannot finish a FACTION RACE BATTLE quickly, you may want to clear an obstacle asap.

WHY WOULD I PAY 500 MP TO HELP CLEAR?

to help your faction progress in the event! should one faction fall behind by the end of the event, this will have an effect on the narrative outcome.

another reason you may want to contribute is to post again. some players may enjoy the spotlight or feeling that their character is actively contributing to their faction. however, it should be noted that this does not entitle paying players to rewards or moderated acknowledgement.

He's not the one clever enough to work out the hieroglyphs etched into the door. Murmurings of Eternatus ripple among the group as the central icon is recognized. But there's not much time to sit and puzzle out exactly how they should proceed as more opposition begins to resurface. When steps up, Lam follows suit. "I'll help."[break][break]

"Looks like we're up, Mallow." But the altaria is already on the case. As others battered back against Rocket force, she had begun to quietly collect preemptive energy - casting a soft glow off of her pale, fluffy feathers. Now, when more roll in with the goal of putting themselves ahead of the league's crew, Mallow surges forward and then lifts as high as the cavernous space will allow.[break][break]

Then she swoops down in a steep dive, the SKY ATTACK breaking through the line in an attempt to scatter the rockets so that the league's own can follow this through to the end.

“Play Rough.” With a snarl, the old dog dives for their targeted groups. Every limb flails in a hungry, chaotic burst of fairy power. Hopefully, one of these fools would teeter from the cliff’s edge. Lessen the paperwork load.

The tired revenant of a man turns to his comrades. A simple nod of respect follows. "Go." He says to all that remain unshackled.

"Thought we agreed that was my job."[break][break]

He wasn't the only one to step up to Navy's side. Who else but , the other gym leader he'd challenged as of recent? There was something poetic about it. Two people that had honed his burgeoning potential to even get this far would now find their unlikely challenger had become their most fervent defender.[break][break]

Before marching off to war, he turned to , giving her a gentle pat on the head. "You keep everyone safe for me, alright?" he asked, voice gentle and smile daring. "I'll be right back with you before you know it."[break][break]

With his promise made, he sank into a fighting stance. His fingers writhed, a chilling mist weaving its way through them. From the air came water. From water came ice. From ice came a tool Isaac could depend on. A shield of pure ice seemed to sprout from his wrist, shackling itself to his arm to make him impossible to disarm.

Once it had fully formed, he held it sky high. "If you're not fighting, get over here! No chance in hell I'm gonna budge!" he bellowed. It wasn't a king's dramatic rallying cry, and yet it felt all too familiar.[break][break]

From behind him, his Vikavolt gnashed its mandibles, sparks flying with each crunch. Typically, a Zap Cannon's usefulness was limited by a long, cumbersome firing period. From behind Isaac's bulwark, that wasn't as much of an issue. Lord British would wait for a particularly threatening foe to approach, then pop out from behind Isaac to paralyze them where they stood. Who knew how much of a line they could hold working in shifts such as this?

They’re bold words from someone who’s kept herself on the sidelines of this conflict so far. But as Luka watches her comrades take up arms against the impending foe, it strikes her that she can’t just stand around and do nothing. To do as much is as good as conceding victory to Rocket.[break][break]
Her voice wavers amongst her fellows, all far more confident and able-bodied than she. But she stands with them nonetheless; at the very least, she can provide another warm body to fight amongst their cause. It helps as well to see there, the shield he bears offering not just protection, but a reminder of what they all stand for. They defending not only themselves in this moment, but everyone else who doesn’t deserve to fall under Rocket’s tyranny.[break][break]
”Come on, Parfait,” she mutters, unclipping a love ball from her belt, ”We can be helpful too!”[break][break]
A shower of bubbles announces her Hatterene, the seals more appropriate for a contest showcase than a fight to the death. But despite their cutesy appearance, Luka and her partner face down their opponents with the fiercest expressions they can muster.[break][break]
