her comms crackle to life and Eva Morales's voice brings her back. too many people care about her now. too many people depend on her; she can't throw herself recklessly into this fight. Hyakkaryōran Tsubaki wouldn't forgive her for it either.[break][break]

"we're pinned down!" she shouts to the two of them when they get near enough to herself, Caleb Harcourt, and Roy Aker. "we need to move, see if we can find a pocket where the storm isn't so thick."[break][break]

she reaches a hand out and places it on kirimu's broad shoulder. "give us some cover," she calls and the dragon digs deep into his spirit, dredging up another heat wave for their party in an attempt to protect them from the encroaching frostbite.

Neffatari Nzingha's light touch on Zev's wrist grounded him, momentarily quieting the snarling hunger that rolled through his body. He focused on the chatter over Team Rocket's comms, eyeing the Unbound Hoopa at BARNABY FINCH's mention. [break][break]

"While you're targeting the Hoopa, I'll put Kyurem at a disadvantage," Zev said to Bee, mint frost, and THEO BECKETT over the comms. [break][break]

The Rocket Beast's gaze lifted to regard the enormous dragon. The size of it was truly gargantuan; its face alone was probably the width of several city blocks. [break][break]

But that was enough, just barely. [break][break]

Heedless of any agents of the League who might be watching, Zev reached for the sky, past the atmosphere that shielded their planet, past the nearest stars and into the void of space itself. [break][break]

And then he brought it down onto the Boundary Pokémon, attempting to cover both of its eyes with impenetrable darkness. [break][break]

zev can summon unnatural darkness to cover an area within a limited radius. only he and his pokémon can see through the darkness; anyone else within it is blind. [break][break]

any lights within the area go out and can’t be turned back on while the darkness is active, and outside lights cannot penetrate it. anyone observing from outside the area will see it as a dome-shaped, starless void.

Taking advantage of Kyurem's potential blindness, Zev's Charizard raced toward her foe, blasting it with another DRAGON BREATH. Unfortunately, the accumulation of ice and snow deadened her wings. Before Zev's very eyes, she froze over and began the long plummet to the ground. [break][break]

"Good, 'cos we're going to need all the help we can get."[break][break]
As if summoned by those very words, Navy appeared. Fueled by adrenaline and something akin to a genuine thrill, Caleb felt suddenly grateful to be surrounded by allies. He'd shouldered the burden of a guilty conscience for far too long, self-inflicted solitude finally taking its toll on him.[break][break]
He didn't need to face the world's horrors alone. Isaac Merlo had taught him that.[break][break]
freya morningstar shouted at them to move, and Caleb did not hesitate to obey. The storm raged around them, and he called out to Vivien to cover their retreat, just as Freya's Roaring Moon did the same. The Volcarona summoned a HURRICANE of wind, a vortex meant to buffer the hail and frost away from the Councilwoman and her companions. Caleb rushed forward, intending to flank Freya. Heat radiated from the Roaring Moon, warm limbs giving him a renewed strength.[break][break]
Stormy blue eyes were drawn back to the Kyurem in time to notice a strange anomaly: a potent, tangible darkness surrounding the dragon, assaulting its head with a dome-shaped void completely devoid of light.[break][break]
Caleb froze, and it had nothing to do with the blizzard.[break][break]
Intentional, focused, he searched the area and found what he was looking for. A myriad of emotions: shock, anxiety, fear.[break][break]
And anger. White-hot and deep-seated.[break][break]
"FREYA!" He shouted through the din. "HE'S HERE! My brother!"[break][break]
How to explain? How to make her understand? Kyurem was not the only monster present. Zev wasn't entirely human. Could they capture him somehow in the chaos, finally bring him to justice?[break][break]
"He's incredibly dangerous. He's with Rocket! He'll attempt to kill any of us if we get in his way."[break][break]

Amor Rose 's voice would come in over the comms - and though they did not speak in response, a hum from Makoto would confirm acknowledgement. As they were in their civilian persona, they had to be careful with how they mingled with their Rocket peers.

But, that did not mean they couldn't fight. Though the winds were biting and cold, they'd direct another Springtide Storm from Tsukiko - hoping to make a difference of some sort amidst this chaos.

Frost began to crystalize on the Virus Pokemon as it tried to withstand the overwhelming torrent of the colossal pokemon in front it. Every attack seemed to fail to penetrate those defenses, even his Flash Cannon, and Amor frowned at that realization. Deoxys just hovered in the air ignoring everything around save for the large serpentine dragon that was on the field, and under the command of Eva Morales . That momentary distraction was cut short as it heard the order coming from the new human that sought it's power. The robotic voice rang through it's body.

"Hyper Beam, puncture a hole in it's shield Erebus!" He gave the command to it, and once again it clasped both hands together, and an orb of golden energy began to form before being loosed in the direction of their shared foe. The beam focused to become an even more powerful laser in the hopes of finding some sort of chink in the armor of this creature in front of them. However success was unknown. This was not something either of them calculate.

Why do we fight?

Came the words into Amor's head, from a voice that was alien, unfamiliar, and that he had never heard before. Looking up to the sky he felt a shiver ran down his spine as a presence touched his mind that he was wholly unfamiliar with.

The Necrozma avatar showed his hand, trapping Kyurem in a massive dome of darkness. "Is that a... Z-Move?" Andrea mumbled, confused even more by Caleb Harcourt's yelling that his brother was behind this. "W-why would he try to kill us?! Kyurem is the real enemy!" She objected.

Friend or foe, he had provided them with an opening. The monster would no doubt break free from its tenebrous prison soon, so they had to act fast. "Pepper, follow that other Charizard!" The draconic trainer ordered.

After Zev Harcourt's Charizard had fallen in the line of duty, Pepper took its place, firing her own Dragon Breath at the giant target.

TWO CHARACTERS PER PLAYER are allowed to participate. The characters can not participate in the same thread.[break][break]

Prophecies revealed in one thread will be revealed in the other thread and vice-versa.[break][break]

You can not double post.
There is no posting order or limit to how many posts one can make in a day. However, be conscientious of other player's response times/opportunities to post. However, preserving momentum should take priority. This rule may be adjusted.
You have full access to your character's PC.

If you MISS A NUMBER THREE TIMES, your Pokemon will FAINT BY BEING FROZEN SOLID.

This cold was something else. And in the face of this cold, Makoto realized something.

Tsukiko was shivering, letting out shuddering breaths...

Something in this shook Makoto a little, and they'd force themself to pull back a little from the dragon's wrath, for their Ninetales' sake. This... This really was the power of a god, that mortal pokemon - no matter how adapted they are to this weather - that the cold of Kyurem could trump it.

Intending to give Tsukiko a breather, they'd switch her out for Onji, hoping that the fire-type Delphox would be able to better fare in the face of this. And wasting no time, Onji would let loose a Mystical Fire!

But, then came the bellowed prophecies, the indistinct words, and... Parts of it were beginning to sound clearer by the second. "Something about a matriarch, and a... Fated end, I think..?" They murmur out loud. And while it sounds as though they're talking to noone in particular... Amor Rose was sure to hear it, over their comms.

What was this prophecy about?

it nearly kills her, walking away from lyune's frozen shape. her jaw is tight, teeth grit, and soon even kirimu's warmth fails to keep them warm. another blast of wind howls, raking over them, slicing through Caleb Harcourt's cry of warning. the cold sinks into her flesh and coils in her veins and she staggers back, arm wrapping around the first person she sees.[break][break]

and it's Caleb Harcourt, saying he's here! my brother! she looks up and the cold and the wind makes her eyes smart.[break][break]

above the light, above the blizzard, there is darkness.[break][break]

she only understands one thing - vengeance will get them killed. "keep your head on straight, harcourt. we have priorities," she shouts.[break][break]

she is shaking like a leaf as the cold crawls its way through every crevice, crystallizing in her brain. you are alone in a wasteland and there is a sea and on its shore are the bodies of all those you failed, and you will suffer and suffer and suffer. and then, with a shoulder up to her ear, kirimu succumbing to the cold beside her, she cries, "Eva Morales, we need help down here. i need you."

Fueled by its rage, ZEKROM not only manages to connect its BOLT STRIKE but nearly causes the WHITE KYUREM to stagger backward as a result. The BLACK YIN roars when it meets eyes with the UNBOUND HOOPA there, unleashing a storm of crackling plasma before bouncing backward to create some distance. It was beginning to understand.[break][break]

Remiel, in the meantime, takes notice of DEOXYS nearby— particularly when it unleashes a powerful HYPER BEAM at their shared adversary. He supposed seeing TEAM ROCKET and the LEAGUE team up against a larger threat might have inspired him some time ago; supported some delusion of collaboration and peace. But even now he could not fathom it.[break][break]

TEAM ROCKET was doing this for their own gain. They would jump on the first chance they had to exploit this somehow. That was not something he could abide in his newfound conceptualization of an IDEAL WORLD.[break][break]

ZEKROM, in the meantime, summons a PSYCHIC energy to try and aggressively pry UNBOUND HOOPA's arms apart.[break][break]

She winces, shielding her eyes. Nori takes notice. Unable to hold the massive bulk nor the strength of the giant wall of flesh, the Dhelmise retracts. A violent spin blows back the icy wind for just a moment, giving Tsubaki, Navy, Freya and the rest concentrated there brief reprieve from the cold. [break][break]

She lowers her arms to find the Dhelmise embedded in a wall of ice. Ice that surely would have frozen her, if not for the ghost's sacrifice. [break][break]

"Nori... shit..."[break][break]

She grasps at her hip for another pokemon, turning to Navy and Freya and the rest. The few trainers she doesn't recognize she trusts implicitly, for the fact that her boss's trust lies with them.[break][break]

"Don't think we're punchin' our way through this, Navy! That thing's way above our weight class!"[break][break]

Dhelmise was her heaviest pokemon by far and it didn't even seem to slow it down. She desperately looks up at the giant, at the face of a God. It didn't even seem to acknowledge them. [break][break]

“Baki, with—” Her Dhelmise freezes before he can even finish the sentence. It pays a high price to buy them all a way forward. Roland and Navy resolve to cover the retreat.[break][break]
He doesn’t realize his hands are shaking until he raises them. Navy only registers how cold he is when he tries to channel power through his link with Arthur. There’s enough fuel in the tank for one final aura sphere and then, the link is severed. With the severing of that bond, he is wholly himself once more.[break][break]
“Roland and I’ll cover the retreat.” Out comes his tera orb. Roland is crowned with fey light. The bright pink crown stands out against the howling storm. Against such an overwhelming force, Navy doubts it will make much difference.[break][break]
Every second he can buy is a precious thing. Those seconds are his worth to the League, his worth to AQUA. Only in the time between the seconds does he truly feel alive.[break][break]
“Go!” As Kyurem raises its mountain foot to step forward, it is met by a tera blast. Roland’s one-armed strike collides against the cold, sending a blast of energy flying in all directions.[break][break]

Neon's handheld is going absolutely ballistic. With so many incredibly high infinity energy signatures around him, not to mention all the trainers and their megastones, his hand held is crowded. The little screen radar goes off and the data dots almost white out the screen. Neon is beyond delighted, focusing more on scoring information so he could forget Kyurem would probably kill them all. He grins, showing off his device to oscar clayton when they come in close. "C'mooon, all of Hoenn is out here fighting.
