Damaging the GIGANTAMAX GARBODOR proves to be impossible at first. EIGHT DYNAMAX BARRIER SEGMENTS protect it from harm.[break][break]

As Pokemon flee the premises, all manner of trainers heed the call.

He hated garbage, which sucked given the fact that most of his colleagues fell into the category.

Elisabeth was toxic, Cillian was an abuse survivor, Theo was a war criminal. Yadda yadda, same shit different day. Howard was the only normal Rocket, and that was something he had come to terms with as soon as he had donned his helmet and accepted the promotion as Admin Fox.

"FUCKING TRASH!" Howard let out a scream as the living trash pile oozed around Route 120 near the Ancient Tomb. Long ago, there had been a dream fought on this battlefield. Now, all that was left were expired foodstuffs and the remains of Hyper Bouncy Woopers.

Howard's Golurk smashed the ground with a mighty Earthquake, causing the ground to tremble.

He was familiar with fighting Dynamaxed Pokemon, now. Between the giant Pikachus of Vital and the two Toxtricity in New Mauville, Howard knew that the best way to bring these monsters down was to hit hard and hit constantly. It didn't matter how strong these Pokemon were. Once their Dynergy Barrier fell, Eternatus would do the rest.

What sort of monster claimed its own soldiers? The Dynergy Barrier began to creak and groan.

[break][break]with a whistle from annalise, her ceruledge ally switches with the trainer, taking the brunt of the attack for them. the ghost-type follows up with a psycho cut.[break][break]

another one appears by route 120. kyle is one of the first to respond to the call, bringing out his pokemon to combat it.

"sheer cold."

kyle orders his ninetales to freeze the place up, solidifying any of the liquid toxins spewing out from the garbordor. ice crystal creeps up to the massive creature, encasing it with ice, until everything shatters once it reached its potential.

it's one barrier down, and the rest is for the others to destroy.

Chaos ensues, as a massive Garbodor seems to appear out of nowhere. Makoto blinks in alarm at the sight of the poisonous beast - having originally been here on one of their occasional wanders through Hoenn - but at the very least, they are able to provide a hand in the matter.

Namely, with the power of their Wyrdeer, Yurei.

Though she is not necessarily resistant to poison - and though Makoto may not know the best methods to bring down a Dynamaxed pokemon - they are able to let loose powerful psychic attacks such as Extrasensory against the beast's shield!

Grigori looked up at the towering Garbodor. How the people ran, and how they cowered from the sight. A few others ran forward instead of away; commendable souls in this time of need. He was one of them, and he wasn’t here for malicious purposes this time.

No, As soon as he heard about the outbreak in Littleroot, he knew that something else would happen. An event like that seldom occurred in isolation. While this wasn’t… exactly, what he envisioned would follow, it was still important to help out.

That’s why he brought Cables to this fight. Even if it wasn’t particularly thrilled, or excited, or angry, or upset, or much of anything– it didn’t hold back. Not for anything. “Cables, please subdue the Garbodor to the best of your ability!”

It looked at him with its lack of eyes, and then pivoted back to the lumbering pile of trash. Its tendrils snaked out, right toward a small phone booth. Black cables sunk into the very box, and the lights flickered on top.

Energy amassed inside its head, which grew brighter and brighter until Grigori had to cover his eyes. And then– as if lighting struck. A viscous, monstrous, devastating strike of electricity surged forth. A Zap Cannon of terrifying proportions barreled forth, faster than light itself.

And straight into one of the barriers that protected it. “Good work, Cables!”

It did not respond, instead focused on sucking the remaining power out of the now defunct phone booth.

The moment the distress call came out from Route 120 of all places, he immediately went to go answer the call—never mind if his partner was currently doing household things.

“Sorry, love, have to check something out just past the city limits!” he yelled ’s way as he literally peeled out the door, running full-tilt and grabbing his bird whistle to summon—

Yeah it was time to go out!

He would be at Route 120 in minutes on his Braviary’s back; before seeing the mass chaos unfolding… oh, shit, was this what was in ’s report?! Yikes.

“Come on, over here!” he would yell as he swooped down and began directing people who’d gotten caught in the crossfire towards safety; out of the line of fire.

He was here to support, after all!

The reports made by the Ranger outpost in Route 120 were terrifying. Elise is on the scene when she sees the Gigantamaxed Garbodor at the Ancient Tomb where the events of her first meeting with the Hero duo took place. She sees that several other people were dealing with the giant poison type Pokemon while the flapping of wings overhead in the air made her turn her attention to directing the civilians to flee the premises before they get hurt.[break][break]

“Alex! I’ll help too!” The royal ambassador calls out as she and her Calyrex help to round up the wild Pokemon who were in the wake of the Garbodor’s mess. Charles’ Heal Pulse helps to heal a family of Tandemaus and he heals the other Pokemon who were hurt or poisoned though the royal directs the young hare king to use Aromatherapy on those Pokemon that were affected by the poison gasses.[break][break]

During the chaos, Elise leads the wild Pokemon to safety outside of the area and she helps to treat those who needed medical care.[break][break]

Battling Dynamax pokemon is not her forte. Hell, despite telling some old stories about them fighting giants and winning, she doesn't exactly the ability to fight based off something that was revealed to her in a dream.[break][break]

"Upsie daisy." Her arms are busy with scooping little forest critters onto the backs of larger pokemon. Up ahead, her flying pokemon like Ame and Ema work together to scout the path and lead the wild pokemon away from danger. Whereas fleet-footed ones like Mitts and Arcana round up those who falter and carry them to safety.[break][break]

With the loud crashing and overwhelming surge of power going on in the immediate vicinity of the dynamaxed Garbador, they probably have things all under control. All she has to do is focus on keeping these pokemon safe from the aftershock.

Fitting, then, that his first encounter with a wild Dynamaxed Pokemon would be here, and this Pokemon of all Pokemon. It rises above them, basking in strength no normal creature should know. It is an ignorant king, flicking attacks lazily about.[break][break]
“Come on, boy.” The Elite urges his Glastrier, Slow Dancer, into the fray. This is what he’s meant to do – fight monsters. Quicker folk – rangers and even some Rockets, beat him to the punch. “Yo, Lopez!” The rider shouts at , mirth on his lips. “Look at you, Hoenn’s champ, responding to a crisis!” A second Pokemon emerges in a red flash. Gantz, a Dhelmise acquired from Melody’s HOME program, readies itself to play its part. A steel crown sits atop the anchor.[break][break]
Chains shoot around the giant’s feet – aid for the other heroes of the day. All they have to do is hold the monster down, keep it from flailing those massive arms about. Pin it down utterly and go on the offensive.[break][break]
Heroes must return to slay giants.[break][break]
He remembers Kyurem’s prophecy. They will win this battle against one giant without help – but what about the day when hundreds appear across the region?
