Evelyn moved effortlessly through the water, her scuba suit fitting snugly, though her thoughts were weighed down by disappointment. Her last dive with Clamperl had been a bust, turning up only a plain Poké Ball—hardly the treasure she’d hoped for. The underwater world, which usually filled her with wonder, seemed dull today. As she swam past vibrant fish and coral, she couldn’t shake the feeling of dissatisfaction. The adventure that once thrilled her now felt like a chore, each breath through her regulator a reminder of the lackluster result. The excitement she once felt had been replaced by a sense of futility.

That was another pokeball floating and drifting through the water almost exactly the same way that the one before had... It was strange to see, like deja vu almost? Daikenki snatched that one too from the waves but snuffed through his nose, bubbles rising to the surface above. How strange...

Elise would take both Calyrex shard and the Bramblin to the ocean by the shore of Slateport Beach. With how much the Bramblin's recovery had done since Elise rescued it in the wild, she smiles down at the female Bramblin when the ghost type goes to the ocean. While Acantha makes her way to the ocean and tries bringing back a Clamperl herself, the Clamperl gets stuck onto one of her thorns and she drags the Clamperl over to the ambassador and Charles. Charles looks over to the Bramblin's catch as he frees the Clamperl with a Psychic and brings it over to Elise. She opens it for the Calyrex and Bramblin to see.

This little creature would not get the best of him, and even as the flurry of blows continued to come at him, he did his best to evade, and counter attack with all of his might.

He didn't notice, or care that he might be being recorded right now. The thrill of a fresh hunt was all that mattered to him, and so he would continue his own barrage against the creatures.

She was tired of holding her breath and of fighting the waves to stay where she wanted. The sands were so promising, though. One or two more trips, she told herself. Then, she went under.
