A space-time distortion seems to be forming!

ULTRA DEEP SEA, MID SEPTEMBER — over a period of a few days, several space-time distortions have descended somehow inside the ULTRA DEEP SEA. Many are closer to the area in which trainers warp in by PRIMAL RIFT... curiously, this intersection of dimensions—or is it universes?—seems incredibly volatile.[break][break]

These distortions bring thunder and lightning and darkened skies. As you approach these domes of crackling energy, you can feel the world being unstable all around you. Traversal through the purplish membrane of this realm is seamless and yet, the world contained within is wholly different than what is outside.[break][break]

Highly aggressive Pokemon appear out of nowhere, as if teleported from an entirely different plane. Some of these Pokemon are of species never before seen.[break][break]

Furthermore, the passage of time seems to flow differently here. The physical space before you glitches and fidgets too, occasionally forcing you to your knees.[break][break]

Ultra Deep Sea had a space time distortion, an odd thing to see since Elise had only known that these distortions appear out of the rifts. Her Sprigatito and Porygon2 accompany her since Elise knows that they’ll be protecting her. Jasmine walks ahead of the ambassador while some worry comes over the royal in making sure that her Sprigatito would be safe. Charles hangs back in shielding the ambassador.[break][break]

“Protect Jasmine please.” She says over to her Porygon2 as the duck-like Pokemon comes over to accompany the female kitten. With aggressive Pokemon coming onto them, Balin the Porygon2 springs into protecting the small grass cat with a Flamethrower on an Ursaring. [break][break]

And as the Ursaring attacks, the Porygon2 takes the attack in protecting the female kitten. An Ice Beam comes from the normal type Pokemon as it froze the bear. Light surrounds the Porygon2 when Balin evolves to a Porygon-Z. Pink eyes from the Sprigatito watch as Balin tries his best to protect both the ambassador and her.[break][break]

Overwhelming numbers of Luxray were on them and Jasmine gets the idea that she’ll use a move to distract them. In an explosion of pollen, the female Sprigatito unleashes a Flower Trick to cover the ambassador’s escape from the distortion rift.[break][break]

In the middle of the pollen cloud, Elise picks up a yellow shard from the ground and takes her Sprigatio and Porygon-Z out of the space time distortion along with the Calyrex shard helping to cover their escape before floating away after his handler.

A space-time distortion? In the Ultra Wilds? What was the world coming to?

Inside the purple bubble of spatial and temporal nonsense, Pokémon from a bygone era researched by had replaced Nihilego as the dominant species. They did not take kindly to humans invading their territory and stealing their prized red shards.

Luckily, Andrea had come prepared. With a PHYSICAL SHIELD generated by her activated Sygna Suit, the eccentric trainer defended herself and her reptilian son from the swarm of Overqwil firing toxic barbs at them.

“Stand back, Jalapeño! What are you doing?!”

Determined to be the one that protected his human mother, the brave little Fuecoco faced the aggressive pufferfish head on. As time got warped in the bizarre pocket dimension, flashes of Jalapeño as a Skeledirge from an unwritten future briefly appeared.

The Fire Croc Pokémon inhaled deeply… and then belted out a deep, baritone Torch Song, blowing out raging flames that scorched his enemies. He then Sang a more soothing lullaby to put them all to sleep.

“Fue-co-co ♪”

Andrea stared in disbelief, a single tear forming in her eye. “Jalapeño, my son… I’m so proud of you!”

Now that the weight of the hourglass had settled, turned over and set down to begin pouring again from the new fixed point in time that the thoughtless first wave of war created... Everything was wrong. Yuina had already been running herself ragged across the region and back, over the oceans and back, into the forests and back through the cities following the Noble Pokémon of old, ancient lore... They were here for a purpose, a reason, they were protectors first and foremost sworn to defend that which belonged to the "Almighty Unknowable". Had they been summoned as a result of the ruin that laid waste to the region? Or for ruin that was yet to come...?[break][break]
Then the first reports came in, amidst her books, hidden within words, locked away in a feeble attempt to keep herself at arms length from those she cared about most... Distortions, beyond the primal rifts of their world... The first instance of its kind.[break][break]
Where she was no stranger to the ultra deep sea, having visited time and again to delve into the depths of the beast that rest within, Yuina found herself disgruntled and distressed all over again as she made the journey to the other side, and found a distortion field. Daikenki hissed on open maw, and Celebi flitted closer to her in an attempt to find comfort... But Yuina could hardly comfort herself as she stared through the thousand yard stare of her empty eyes at the barrier of space time in front of her.[break][break]
"What's happening...," she muttered, her breathing was shallow, concerned... afraid... as she reached out with a trembling hand. The miniscule threads of space time that she could always feel at her finger tips now, like the leftover sensation of an electric shock, seemed that much more erratic as she almost made contact with the curtain. Where the fabric of this in between space had once felt so intimately familiar to her, a blanket of comfort against the uncertainties of her shadows, her pulse hitched. She almost felt smothered...[break][break]
"This isn't right... It's... this is unstable," Yuina breathed, and she almost felt hurt... Everything that she knew, everything in this life was curated on a path that she had been made to fill... Why couldn't the solace of a distortion stay the same? Why wasn't she allowed to have anything that was actually hers? A distortion was her beginning, if they began to break... Was that going to be her end?[break][break]
She stepped through the curtain, the threads fraying and ripping at her fingers, and for the first time in a long time the static was so loud and the haze was so heavy... She couldn't hear her own screams.

Ultra Deep Sea... El didn't entirely like it here - it seemed like each time they ventured into the depths, there was danger and trouble afoot. Today was no different - the word of space-time distortions in these eldritch tunnels was more than a little concerning!

At the very least, they were far from alone in braving the storm. "Stay close, okay buddy?" El instructed Aussenseiter, patting on the Genesect's chassis. They'd been able to get the cyborg up and running again with a little help - and was even able to take a page out of MUGEN's book in undoing a bit of the more dangerous programming it had. "Don't worry about fighting; I just need you to watch our backs while the others keep us safe."

Really, the Genesect wasn't in any fighting condition - but they still wanted to bring it with, both to let it see the world at large as a free pokemon, and to let it mingle with them and their other pokemon.

Perhaps bringing it out here, however, had other hidden benefits that noone would expect...

Ultra Deep Sea... Ettie recalls her past treks through here - for better or worse. It was a dangerous place; a place made even more dangerous, by the distortions that now filled this space.

It is a good thing, then, that she isn't alone here. In particular, this has been used as a chance for the Flock to come with and sharpen their talons against any hostile pokemon that bother them. Perhaps this experience would do them well - and it would, even if not for the expected reasons.

And as always, well... She can't say no, to any new shiny objects.

What perilous wonders dwell beneath the sea. Inoue Hitoshi feels like he is visiting Ryujin, a name for Lugia in the old tongue. Pokemon spill out, displaced from another land. One such creature zips like lightning across the water. Bolts of electricity streak after the rodent.[break]
"God damn is that thing fast." Hitoshi gawks, his only company for the moment being a slothful little Slowpoke. It yawns, not even trying to keep up with the rush of speed. Every movement is a thunderbolt.[break]
"Pika!" Pikachu grins. "Pika-Pi!"[break]
Hitoshi swirls his wrist. It'll take a proper curveball to catch this rodent, displaced from another time, another place. It flies, and he thinks it will veer. It veers right until a psychic blast rights the ball. Pikachu disappears. The ball rumbles. It clicks.[break]
"Huh, guess a king's rock fell on yer head." He grunts at the Slowpoke, now a Slowking. This new Pikachu will bring glory to Rocket.

And even surrounded by the poisonous depression that is Ultra Deep Sea in all its unsettlingness, seeing the gang goof away is kind of endearing, actually.

If you stray too far, I won't come get you, dee warns and lies because dee would never leave any of them behind. Still, the group is fraying dangerously, but gladly, do seem to have a little bit of conscience left to stick together ... But it does seem like Milcery seems to be feeling especially giddy.

First, she Decorates her companions with various little sweets she seemingly pulls out of nothing, before actually vanishing. Where's- dee starts signing, but then stops as a gift drops from the sky.

Dee stares at the sudden gift, which then opens to reveal der Milcery.

... huh.

Entry into the distortion is permitted much more easily than Petra had initially imagined. It made the dangers people spoke of seem distant, perhaps far from the truth. Sure, she had to provide a trainer's licence. And there was a League endorsement to her name. But there were also no badges to her name. As such, she wandered slowly in stark contrast to the Nidoqueen bravely pushing ahead...

"Slow down, Ni! We're not in Hoenn anymore."

As if on cue, an unfamiliar pokemon takes a swipe for the pokemon's head. Practiced senses allow Nidoqueen to dodge, managing to get by with a scratch on the ear. Their assailant appeared to be a Sneasler. While an apex predator of it's time, the poor match-up was only exaggerated as time went on.

Once it finally fled after a decisive BITE and toss, they were able to roam more freely. Littered across the place were shards of some kind. Petra confiscates one in the color of red before proceeding further ahead, where they meet a small group of Goomy and Goodra of the past. In an attempt to avoid battle, Petra releases her own. "Tell them we don't need to fight."

The words are received well, except for one. Battle takes place, and the forces of this place coalesce within her pokemon. At first, she is worried. But once the transformation is complete... Petra feels much better about this little bout. Striking down the assumed rival with a POWER WHIP, they were finally able to leave in peace.

Others seemed to be enjoying their bounties as well. Though with so much seemingly unknown, there was a tinge of paranoia clawing at the surface of her thoughts. I'll have to keep an eye on those two for awhile. The other pokemon, seemingly of the past, might have only been so hostile due to the very exposure to the energies experienced in that clash of dimensions.

And the shards. They were also powerful fragments of this place. Whether or not she would try to make use of them, there was no telling. Petra simply took what she could in order to deny team rocket any extra spoils.

A wound that bleeds time.

All around is wreathed a tera crown, each point glimmering in delight as space and time are interwoven in stitches of fantasy and dreams, the very fabric spiraling outward into a kaleidoscopic array that makes her dizzy.

But she proceeds, floating toward the very center as if it were an exceedingly long hallway.

She does not gaze to either side, at worlds she ought not know of, worlds dead, worlds yet to be born, worlds just like this but where she has died and everyone is better off.

No, she proceeds directly toward the center of the vortex, the center of everything.

Katharina doesn't want to be here, but the call for a possible evolution of his Dewott calls him here after all ... "Are you feeling anything yet?" he asks Numbahs, who shakes her head. She does seem to focus on something as she looks at the lightning-riddled skies above, if that's actually really sky.

Probably not, now that Katharina thinks about it ...

And before he knows it, Numbahs leaped onward with precision that he's gotten to learn is part of her, even if she's also very calm and chill else. But that move ... "You should've evolved then ... and with this, too?" The distortion seems to really do a number on Numbahs - she just used both Sucker Punch and Ceaseless Edge, moves that she definitely shouldn't know yet! That's definitely not the change he expected.

[attr="class","rosepost"]The distortion opened up, and after her conversation with in the Mechanical Kingdom, she felt it was her responsibility to poke around inside. She needed to understand the phenomena better in order to protect herself and others against them when they were weaponized. Unfortunately, she selected the wrong pokeball as she approached it and sent out her newest companion, a uniquely colored Slowpoke. [break][break]

It was not a great choice for protection, but stepped into the rift with him anyways, looking to see if there were threats on the other side that warranted a better guardian pokemon. However, she didn't see any pokemon. There was some wild storm circling above, but she didn't see anything else inside. Still, something troubling sat in her belly, warning her to leave. Maybe this was a better expedition for a party of people rather than just herself.[break][break]

This time, she intentionally entered a time-space distortion. Six visits and this was the first intentional one. [break][break]

There was no Avalugg to loom over her. It was pleasant, now that something wasn't trying to gobble her up. Glaceon stayed close to her side anyways, ever loyal. The storm raged above, but the pokemon that populated the stormy area were keeping to themselves. There wasn't a lot of aggression like she'd observed last time. The odd-looking voltorbs garnered her attention. She had one of her own, but it was still so bizarre to see them charged with grass energy. [break][break]

Unnerving, even.

as if the world was saying that he hasn't seen it all already, a crack in the very fabric of reality opens shortly silverio's return from the mechanical kingdom. while this happened, the ranger had sought out for some much-needed downtime with his poképals after the trials they had endured together. but this ripple in time has already grown too large for the man to ignore, and thus, curiosity may kill the delcatty.[break][break]

if silv wishes to learn more about hoenn's environment, as well as the phenomena that plague it, then turning away from this opportunity is not an option, with that in mind, and with a masculine nidoran in tow, he dares to step foot through the cracks. no immediate signs of danger, although the storm cloud forming in the skies above him may be a clear indicator of an impending omen. suppose that the paldean should not overstay his welcome.[break][break]

however, after brief moments, the nidoran begins to grow at a pace incomparable to any natural causes - it has rapidly evolved. sensing a disturbance, the newly-formed nidorino prepares an attack with his horn, only to imply more size force than usual. "no freakin' way..." a technique that the poison pin pokémon should not be able to use by any normal means. an anomaly of sorts...?[break][break]

suffice to say that silverio truly hasn't seen everything there is to see in hoenn, just yet...maybe not even half...

The Ultra Deep Sea was already a realm of wonder, but the addition of a space-time distortion twisted it into something truly surreal. Reality itself seemed to tear at the seams, as if time and space no longer obeyed the rules Roy had always known. Here, there was no sense of up or down; just a vast expanse where one could breathe underwater, surrounded by paradoxes.

"Let’s run it again," Roy commanded, his voice sharp as he signaled his pokemon to focus.

Walking Wake, Raging Bolt, and Gouging Fire were forces of pure, untamed energy. This realm, with its unnatural laws and chaotic distortion, was one of the few places where they could train without causing irreparable damage. Despite their wild nature, this was where they could be pushed to their limits. It was their ritual. Yet, for all their power, they set a poor example for Jiah.

Roy signaled to a chunk of floating debris nearby. "Now!" he barked, his tone turning the debris into a makeshift training dummy. At once, the titans unleashed their full fury, a storm of attacks colliding with the target as Jiah cheered from Roy's shoulder.

The Draconid could feel the space-time distortion slowly closing in, its edges brushing against his skin like an electric charge. The distortion warped reality around him, and the tingling sensation served as an exit to their training session.
