[attr="class","aurelie-lyrics"]Give a man a mask, and he will tell you the truth. [attr="class","border"] Never particularly perceptive, Aurelie merely smiled in relief when the fellow she'd bumped into assured her that he was fine after their unceremonious collision. "I'm so glad to hear that! I really should've known better. Especially when I haven't even had a drop yet!"
She grinned when the man accepted her offer of a drink as an apology for her ineptitude and gestured toward the bar. "So, let's change that, shall we? Come on!"
Thankfully, the crowd around the banquet table and bar had thinned a little, as guests started chatting, mingling, or dancing in different areas of the ballroom. Still, Aurelie found herself having to shoulder a few people aside or even jab a high heel into a foot at times as she struggled to forge a path forward to the bar.
"So, wait, what were you saying earlier about this place?" she remarked to Alba, while elbowing someone in their way. "Is this place really built on top of a graveyard? Yikes! I had no idea!
"If that's really true, that...doesn't seem like the smartest choice," she reflected, frowning a little. "But it explains all the Ghost-type Pokemon everywhere, I guess." She shivered a little as they finally approached the bar after several minutes, where a very tall and very garishly dressed figure was already demanding a glass of Bordeaux.
Though Aurelie wasn't sure things would make any more sense after having a drink, she was pretty sure she'd be having more fun. So, she called out eagerly in the direction of the bar, "And if you don't mind, can I have an apple cider cocktail, please? And whatever my friend wants, on my tab!"
For a moment, there was no response. No human bartender ever came into sight. However, a minute later, to her surprise, a Gengar emerged from the shadows with a tray holding three glasses. Smiling eerily at the three of them, it offered a tall goblet of dark-red wine to the very tall man, a wide-mouthed glass of sparkling cocktail to Aurelie, and finally an elegant flute to Alba filled with his drink of choice.
"I...um...well, thank you," the redhead managed to stammer, staring at the Gengar quizzically. Putting away the tray, it disappeared back into the shadows as she cautiously eyed her drink.
"That was...surprising," she commented aloud. "But maybe I should've expected it in a place like this. Well, à votre santé!" she added merrily, raising her glass. "Cul sec!"
Notes- Mask, Dress - Amazed by the rumors of the mansion being built on a graveyard - Fights her way to the bar and orders a drink - Offers a toast to Alba and Shred, unaware of the latter's "Kalosian" persona
