EEVEE POSSESS AN UNSTABLE GENETIC CODE. Even still, scientists find it difficult to understand why this is the case. However, such mysteries do not puzzle the public, for their cute appearance and loving nature makes them prized pets. Although they do occur in the wild, such appearances are rare— and yet, you all stumble across a swarm of Eevee strewn across the wood. Perhaps, if you're lucky, you'll be able to catch one before they all disperse.[break][break]

the highest roll will earn a shiny eevee; the second highest roll will earn a regular eevee, and the lowest roll will net a shiny eevee. the gender of the pokemon can be decided by the recipient.
the attempted capture will not consume a pokéball.
the eevee have movesets that will be revealed at the end of the event.
this is a time-limited event and will end august 14th, 12am pst.

He made it here first, cait alfric in tow.

He usually was among the first to make it to these things. As far as he was concerned it just meant he was on top of his game again.

Carefully with his phone's camera he recorded the horde of cuties. Not even a sword swinging rule-bender like himself could deny how cute they were.

They were so happy and playful with one another he'd have enough footage to make a suite of videos, stills and gifs.

As other started to arrive he kept the cam rolling trying to catch one of the bunch with one free hand and one spare pokéball.

He missed, and to add insult to injury Razz Kingsman and Adrian Malcolm seemed to show up shortly thereafter and each nab a shiny eevee of their own.

They could keep their shinies, he would get the last laugh when he was first to get an eevee to take on a FIGHTING-TYPE evolution.

He could just see it now.

Or maybe it would look more like...

Hell yeah. Take that Razz and Adrian.

greyson found comfort surrounded by the woods. he remembered running through them —— though, not quite this one —— as a child with DANNY HALL and leo del río . he remembers a shrine, dilapidated and in dire need of repair. Guinevere Auclair had helped with that. it was no surprise that, as the stress of the job gets to him, he seeks the wood.

color him surprised when it was an apparent eevee orgy grounds. arceus, why were there so many? and some were... shiny?

nice.

he released an EEVEELUTION of his own, his sylveon, and sought to walk the area more. eventually, he'd decide, if the gods were on his side, he'd take one home.

And yet it would seem that was enough.

Another day, another call from the rangers saying there is a swarm to look after. Make sure neither pokemon or trainers get violent. Same as usual, this time around he brings his own eevee to come and play. [break][break]

As he watches him play, he ponders a bit on the whole evolution side of things. How some forced their Eevees to evolve a certain way, while with others it happened naturally, if at all. Razz has heard rumors that the way they evolve fully reflect on how a trainer treats them, and its times like this where he wonders if he's been a good trainer toward his. [break][break]

Heck he still hasn't given them a nickname, but that was more because he was waiting for what they would choose. Though his thoughts were interrupted a bit as he watched his eevee along with several others seeming to try and jump off some thing high up. As if that were to make them evolve into some Aveon or something. [break][break]

Caroline had been around lots of Pokemon, and even that was an understatement to what she'd experienced in the past surrounded by every creature under the sun. Wild herds of Tauros, swarms of Beedrill, crowds of Bulbasaur. But never, not for a single second in her life, had she been surrounded by so many Eevee. In fact, she hadn't believed it for a second when her friend sent her a frantic, typo-ridden, text that morning.[break][break]

When Summer heard of the Eevee hoard, she was tempted to avoid it because of the amount of people. But then, she was sent there to see if she could do some business, enrich the Prescott business a little bit more with the sudden flourish of these cute Pokemon.

And boy, they were cute.

Summer's brother knox prescott may call her a witch, but she still had a heart for Pokemon. She couldn't hide the smile that appeared on her face when she approached and noticed the sheer amount roaming about.

Oh, to have a UMBREON would be a dream. Maybe she'd get lucky with one of her Pokeballs.

In this liminal space that is the Swarm, Chu-e, as always, is ready with his pokeball and his craving for power. How many had he actually caught something in these? Like, once? He could do it again. He could get an EEVEE.

She's been wondering this for a while now but if the genetic instability of Eevees is what makes them have multiple evolutions, then why has no one seen any dragon or bug type eeveelutions around? What about flying-types? Would they have wings like some sort of pegasus? Or would their tails become some sort of propeller that carried them into the winds? Would a poison-type eeveelution have fangs that carried venom?

Looking to her own eevee then to the swarm of eevees at her feet, Eris can't help but have these thoughts, only to banish them when BB returns her a gentle cant of his head and an oblivious smile. After all these years—

Why was there still no Eeveelution that was a Flying-type?!

That was honestly the one thing that constantly bothered Alexei on a daily basis; having all of the currently-existing ones—but still none from the type he really preferred.

Oh, how he wondered what it would look like—definitely still a quadruped, but it would have wings of some sort. Kind of like those weird gryphon-like creatures…

Seeing that there was a whole flock of the Eevee out here in the Petalburg Woods proper, he wondered if this was going to be the time—

Eevee have always been a particular fascination of his — not as individuals, but as a species from a scientific standpoint. Their evolutionary capabilities were incredible.

His very own SYLVEON doesn't often see the outside of his office on Rocket's submarine; today, Gavin makes an exception, allowing the cheeky fairy-type to romp with its kin. Trained by Rocket, the devilish feline is quick to pounce on an unsuspecting target and pin it down.

"Good work," Gavin purrs, tossing a Pokeball.

He could only hope the wriggly creature wouldn't escape in the meantime.

Logan had never really saw an urgency to engage swarms, he had only taken part in one in the past few months, and even then he failed. But an Eevee swarm, something about it struck a chord with him, and as if programmed to do it like some robot, he had gotten out of bed, gotten dressed and travelled faster than he usually does. Maybe it was because he wanted a friend for Princess, his Glaceon? Maybe that way she wouldn't be cold, at least not towards Havok and Blaze, Logan's Dragonite and Charizard, respectively. Either way, Eevee were rare in the wild, so for a swarm to appear was almost ridiculous to imagine.

Logan arrived to the swarm with Princess by his side; she had somehow picked up the scent of the swarm and came out of her Pokeball on her own. Logan didn't mind, he was going to bring her out anyway. They both looked at the crowd that had gathered, Logan was expecting a few people, but the crowd was growing very fast, so he wanted to find a less crowded spot to make an attempt for an Eevee. He didn't care if they were shiny, he just wanted a friend for Princess. If he succeeded, perhaps she really would become a Snow Queen, but in fake title only.

Taking a walk with her numerous Eevee in Petalburg woods, the sight of a swarm didn't exactly catch her attention in a good way. Worried about her own getting mixed in with the group, she quickly gathered them inside their pokeballs before getting closer. They would have their chance to make a new friend if and when she managed to catch one.

Her chances were slim, as many people were already there trying their luck. Even so, the thought of having another Eevee was too good to pass up. She still didn't have a candidate to evolve into a FLAREON, or even a JOLTEON. Clutching a spare ball from her purse, Karlinka took aim at one of the Eevee with it's back to her and tossed it...
